This is a 2001 Saab 9-5 wagon. It has approximately 133,000 miles on it. I am the second owner of the car. The original owner was an elderly couple. They had it serviced at the dealer since it was new and kept service records. Records include routine oil changes (especially important for this particular engine), service based on factory recommendations, etc... It also had a brand new turbocharger installed less than 20,000 miles ago, at the dealership. That was several thousand dollars, and I have the receipt. They traded it in this past winter for a Cadillac, and I bought the car from the salesman who originally sold the car...he still works the dealer. I have had it since February. It has been my daily driver since I got it. The only reason I am selling it now is that at the end of July, a dealership made me an offer for a new car that I just couldn't refuse. Otherwise, I'd have kept it.
The car runs and drives very well. It shows that it has been well kept. There are no check engine lights on. The interior is extremely clean, the leather is in great shape for its' age. The only sign of wear is fading on the drivers side bolster where you slide in. But there are no rips or tears at all in the leather. Dash is outstanding.
It runs and drives great, but please understand it is 12, nearly 13, years old. The a/c does not work. I'm not sure why. It has a charge in it, I checked. I found that a fuse under the hood had been pulled. I put a new fuse in. The a/c then worked for 5 minutes, then stopped. The fuse didn't blow, but I'm not sure what the problem is. Relay perhaps? There must be something wrong with the factory alarm, because when you start the car, the display says "Service alarm", but I just press the "clear" button and turn the warning off. I'm guessing the battery is dead. One of the headlight wipers is disconnected, I presume it doesn't work, but never cared to check.
The car has the 2.3L engine, and it has been checked/cleaned for the common sludge issues these engines have (I have that receipt). Heated seats, both front and rear. Sunroof, power everything. I have the original window sticker. It is inspected through March 2014.
Please no trades, I have enough cars. I will answer any questions you have. I reserve to end the auction early, as the car is for sale locally.

eBay Find of the Day: 1985 Saab Turbo Limo is the ultimate high school reunion ride
Wed, 18 Jul 2012Yes, we've seen this 1985 Saab 900 Turbo limo for sale before. But somehow, this time is just seems more right. And we've got more pictures this go-around.
With the Saab brand now dormant and little hope for a true renaissance, save for one that comes in name only, Saab's future must lie in the celebration of great cars of its past. And what better way to celebrate the wonderful Saab 900 than to chop it in half and turn it into a freaking limousine?
Claimed to have been built by a Denver area Saab specialist, this five-speed manual 900 Turbo is listed with a Buy It Now of $8,500. It's actually surprisingly well turned-out, too, with a pretty decent interior that sticks to real Saab seats, avoiding the crushed-velvet or button-festooned lounge chair look. While this seems rather spendy for a well-used limousine, good luck finding another one like it. And besides, that's a lot less than the $12,500 asking price from back in 2010.
Junkyard Gem: 1989 Saab 9000 Turbo
Tue, Jul 24 2018Saab got a lot of sales out of its 99 and 99-based 900 models, but a bigger and more modern car became necessary in order to compete with other European manufacturers in the executive-car market. This car was the 9000, and examples are getting very hard to find nowadays. Here's a 200,000-mile turbocharged 1989 Saab 9000 in a San Francisco Bay Area self-service wrecking yard. Other than Mercedes-Benzes and Volvo 240s, I don't see many junkyard 1980s European cars with better than 200,000 miles on the clock. The owner or owners of this Saab loved it enough to keep it in nice shape for a good 30 years, and it drove more than 7,000 miles on average during each year of its life. The engine is the same 160-horsepower turbocharged Saab H that went into the 1989 Saab 900 Turbo. This engine is descended from the Triumph Slant-4, which Americans knew best as the power under the hood of the Triumph TR-7. Members of this engine family remained in production from 1968 through 2009. It has the five-speed manual transmission, which was starting to become an unusual transmission choice for U.S. car buyers by 1989 — even in Saabs. The Scania badging on Saabs went away after 1995. I see plenty of Saab 900s during my junkyard wanderings, but 9000s aren't so easy to find in the big U-Wrench yards in 2018. I'm not sure what's going on with the fabric in this car's door-panel inserts. Saab went with the same ignition-switch location as everybody else with the 9000, rather than the "traditional" spot between the front seats. Naturally, Saab purists were so outraged by this that they ordered another round of surstromming and swore to stick with their two-stroke 96s for the next 30 years. Petrolicious keeps our love of the Saab Sonett aflame
Wed, 19 Mar 2014German auto designs lean toward function and purpose. Italian designers deliver passion and beauty. The Brits, majesty. American cars, brashness and authority. If you want a funky design, though, you go to Sweden. The land of cheap, do-it-yourself furniture and delicious meatballs knows a thing or six about style and design, and while that character is only now reemerging thanks to a certain string of Volvo concepts, it use to be that Saab was the authority on penning some of the industry's more unique designs.
Take the beautiful Sonett for example - a small coupe whose appearance is a funky mishmash of a Porsche 911 and a Bugeyed Sprite with just a hint of a Citroën DS (it's that convex rear window). It's a positively striking car, made more unique by its two-stroke, three-cylinder powertrain and four-on-the-tree manual transmission. With just 70 horsepower hauling about 1,500 pounds of Swedish style, the Sonett strikes us as an ideal alternative to some of the English sports cars of its day, particularly for those that are looking for something beyond your average MG or Triumph.
For Glenn Roberts, the Sonett was a part of his childhood. His family owned example was originally a special-order item by his parents in 1967. He bought the car from them 13 years later and has never looked back, completing a restoration in 2004. With a story like that, it's not surprising that Roberts and his silver Sonett are the most recent pairing to get some attention from Petrolicious.
