2000 SAAB 9-5 SE with 117k original miles. This Saab has been well treated and maintained, and is in excellent driving condition. There aren’t any service or warning lights on the dash. There aren’t any fluids leaks leaving ground spots where this vehicle is parked either. This SAAB 9-5 runs and drives beautifully. The engine runs strong and smoothly, and the transmission shifts perfectly. We performed a safety inspection, as well as a maintenance service and road test in preparation for sale. Almost NEW tires, which are showing most of their tread. The suspension and steering feel nice and tight. Folding rear seats, to load bigger things- you can see in one of the pictures NEW BATTERY! - WINTER PACKAGE (BUTTON ANTI-SLIDE) The exterior of this SAAB 9-5 looks good. The silver paint has maintained excellent luster over the entire body. There are stone nicks that are mostly in the front (bottom of the bumper and small paint chips on the left side). There isn’t any body rust, and the undercarriage is also dry and in good condition. The interior in this SAAB is clean and has been very well maintained. All of the leather seats are soft, supple and in great condition. The carpeting is fluffy, clean and in good condition throughout this vehicle. All of the trim panels are intact, tight and in excellent condition. The headliner is in perfect condition without any drooping or sagging. This was a non-smoker owned vehicle, and there aren’t any smoke odors or burn marks inside this vehicle. The vehicle history report is clean without any accidents or damage history, and we have a clean, clear title. Son surprises mom with her dream car, a 1973 Saab 99

It can be so liberating to see something positive and uplifting every once in a while. Just look at the ecstatic expression on this mother's face after receiving her dream car from her son. Mom has some seriously quirky taste too: she isn't after a muscle car or a two-seat droptop; instead, it's a 1973 Saab 99 EMS in a very '70s shade of copper at the top of her wish list. According to the video, it took her son about a year to track down this hunk of Swedish steel and save up the money to purchase it. Though, judging from his mom's reaction, it was worth every penny. She puts together what's going on with the Saab pretty quickly and immediately starts swearing at her son – out of love, of course. If you're feeling a little blue, consider this a much-needed pick-me-up. Watching the unbridled joy of someone getting something that they always wanted just feels wonderful.
Victor Muller to pay Sweden back taxes for Saab work
Thu, 03 Oct 2013Victor Muller, Saab's CEO from 2010 to 2011, has been ordered by the Swedish court to pay the back taxes he owes the country for his work at Saab, Autoweek and Volkskrant report. When he was the automaker's CEO he received a salary of about 8 million Swedish Krona ($1.25 million), which was recorded as a reward for consultancy work for a company in the US that Muller owns. The move allowed him to evade taxes for awhile, but the court has ordered him to pay taxes on his full salary.
Muller, who is also CEO of Spyker, and two other Saab executives were accused of accounting fraud in May, which took place in 2010 and 2011. According to reports, Muller maintains that he is not subject to taxes in Sweden.
GM re-recalls 11k SUVs
Tue, Oct 13 2015General Motors is recalling a bunch of previously recalled SUVs because, well, they still aren't quite fixed. The latest repairs are necessary on 10,974 SUVs in North America, including 9,932 in only the US. Affected models include the 2006-2007 Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and GMC Envoy; plus the 2006 Trailblazer EXT and Envoy XL. While not listed by NHTSA, a statement by GM to Autoblog says the 2006-2007 Saab 9-7X and Isuzu Ascender are also affected. In these SUVs, it's possible that liquid could get into the driver's door master power window switch module and cause a short circuit. This could potentially lead to a fire, and owners are urged to park the vehicles outside until repaired. GM has been trying to fix this issue for years. It started as an investigation into fires, and that led to a recall for about 250,000 vehicles in cold-weather states. A nationwide campaign came in 2013 for 193,000 of them in the US. Last year, the automaker decided to replace the whole module as a repair. However in a recent investigation of these recalls, GM discovered that this latest group of SUVs never received the new part. According to documents submitted to NHTSA (as a PDF), "Some dealers incorrectly used the labor code associated with module replacement when, instead of replacing the module, they only added a protective coating to the module." To fix things this time, the models finally get the correct component. Related Video: GM Statement General Motors is recalling 9,932 older midsize SUVs in the U.S. because they were mistakenly excluded from an earlier recall. Certain 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL, and 2006-2007 TrailBlazer, Envoy, Buick Rainier, Saab 9-7X and Isuzu Ascender vehicles may continue to have a condition in which the printed circuit board inside the driver's door may corrode and short if exposed to certain fluids such as melted snow containing road salt. GM is aware of four fires but no crashes, injuries or fatalities associated with the expanded recall. The total number of vehicles being recalled, including Canada, Mexico and exports is 10.974. Customers are urged to park these vehicles outside until repairs have been made. GM reported this recall to the NHTSA on September 23.
