Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, United States
RARE 6-SPEED MANUAL! 2008 SAAB 9-3 2.0 TURBO CONVERTIBLE WITH EASY DAMAGE! Damage: Right rear quarter panel, small tear on the edge of the rear bumper cover. We replaced the right rear suspension and the right rear tire. Vehicle can be driven home by winning bidder if you have a dealer plate , since vehicle has a salvage title. You may be able to get a in-transit temp from your state, however the state of NJ will not issue a temp tag on a salvage vehicle until after the repairs have been made and vehicle goes through the NJ salvage exam. We could have had the quarter panel repaired as well, but I chose to show the body damage to justify the salvage title. The last photo posted shows the damaged rear suspension before it was replaced. Vehicle has been aligned and runs and drives excellent ! No warning lights lit on the dashboard ! Vehicle has plenty of power and is a blast to drive with the 6-speed manual trans. Equipped: 2.0 Liter fuel efficient 4-cylinder turbo engine, 6-speed manual trans, leather interior, power drivers seat, heated front seats, OnStar, 6CD, rear defrost, power top, steering wheel with volume controls/Bluetooth, cruise control, headlamp washers, LED headlamps etc. Production date: 1-08. Vehicle is being sold in condition "AS IS!" with a CT. repairable salvage title. Please check your local salvage laws before bidding. Contact Allen with questions 201-248-3818. I can arrange shipping at a reasonable rate. VERY CLEAN VEHICLE !!

Vampire Weekend burns for Saab
Thu, 21 Mar 2013Or is it the other way around?
Could Vampire Weekend be trying to tell me something? A just-launched music video for the indie rock band's new single Diane Young features what looks like a pretty mint black Saab 900 Turbo Convertible being torched in slow-motion. In fact, with the exception of a brief, flickering cameo by a 900 three-door of a similar vintage, that's all that there is to the nearly three-minute long video. It's both sad and oddly beautiful.
Coincidentally, I have a similar-looking turbocharged black Saab convertible sitting in my garage, and I've been reluctantly pondering its sale this very week. Admittedly, mine is a later model (2001 9-3 Viggen), but tri-spokes and more tapered rump aside, it looks eerily identical. And while mine isn't mired in flames (I love it too much to torch it), through no fault of its own, it's been sitting motionless far too regularly. Thankfully, I see a better future for it than the droptop seen above.
eBay Find of the Day: 1985 Saab Turbo Limo is the ultimate high school reunion ride
Wed, 18 Jul 2012Yes, we've seen this 1985 Saab 900 Turbo limo for sale before. But somehow, this time is just seems more right. And we've got more pictures this go-around.
With the Saab brand now dormant and little hope for a true renaissance, save for one that comes in name only, Saab's future must lie in the celebration of great cars of its past. And what better way to celebrate the wonderful Saab 900 than to chop it in half and turn it into a freaking limousine?
Claimed to have been built by a Denver area Saab specialist, this five-speed manual 900 Turbo is listed with a Buy It Now of $8,500. It's actually surprisingly well turned-out, too, with a pretty decent interior that sticks to real Saab seats, avoiding the crushed-velvet or button-festooned lounge chair look. While this seems rather spendy for a well-used limousine, good luck finding another one like it. And besides, that's a lot less than the $12,500 asking price from back in 2010.
Best and Worst GM Cars
Thu, Apr 7 2022Oh yes, because we just love receiving angry letters from devoted Pontiac Grand Am enthusiasts, we have decided to go there. Based on a heated group Slack conversation, the topic came up about the best and worst GM cars. First of all time, and then those currently on sale, and then just mostly a rambling discussion of Oldsmobiles our parents and grandparents owned (or engineered). Eventually, three of us made the video above. Like it? Maybe we can make more. Many awesome GM cars are definitely going unmentioned here, so please let us know your bests and worsts in the comments below. Mostly, it's important to note that this post largely exists as a vehicle for delivering the above video that dives far deeper into GM's greatest hits and biggest flops, specifically those from the 1980s and 1990s. What you'll find below is a collection of our editors identifying a best current and best-of-all-time choice, plus a worst current and worst-of-all-time choice. Comprehensive it is not, but again, comments. -Senior Editor James Riswick Best Current GM Vehicle Chevrolet Corvette We were flying by the seats of our pants a bit in this first outing and my notes were similarly extemporaneous. When it came time to tie it all together on camera, I failed spectacularly. Thank the maker for text, because this gives me the opportunity to perhaps slightly better explain my convoluted reasoning. I chose the C8 Corvette because it's simply overwhelmingly good, and it's merely the baseline from which this generation of Corvette will be expanded. While the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing (more on that in a minute) is an amazing snapshot of GM's current performance standing and its little sibling so enraptured me that I went out and bought one, their existence is fleeting. Corvette will live on; forced-induction Cadillac sport sedans, not so much. So while all three are amazing machines when viewed in a vacuum, the Corvette stands above them as both a reflection of GM's current performance credentials and a signpost of what is to come. So, given the choice between the C8 and the 5V-Blackwing right now, I'd choose the C8. In 10 years, when the Blackwing is no longer in production and Corvette is in its 9th generation? Well, that might be a different story. Now, just pretend I said something even remotely that coherent when we get to the part of the video where I try to make an argument for the 5-V Blackwing as best GM car I've ever driven. Or just laugh at me while I ramble incoherently.
