READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY A ROLLS Or BENTLEY.

This is the cleanest and best maintained Silver Spur you will find on the market. See photo of the original sticker. If you have never owned one of these, there is a lot to know before making a purchase...First and foremost, low mileage means nothing on these cars. It is all about maintenance. Before you buy one of these make sure you know what you are getting into. If you find one with 40,000 miles on it but it has had 7 owners....RUN!!!. It means that the previous owners did not want to put any money into the maintenance of it and it surely needs a lot of TLC. You will be buying a nightmare....

I bought this car from a friend in Tampa, and he bought it from a fellow Rolls lover that is a his friend in Miami. He was the original owner.

Intermediate owner stated: I had all the maintenance records when I bought it. This car has only been out of the state of Florida twice when I drove it to Georgia. It has never seen snow or salted roads. The under carriage is in perfect condition.

These cars have a braking system with a secondary back up system ( second set of front calipers ) and a ride control system that all operate off of a very complex configuration of spheres full of mineral oil and hydrogen. ( I totally redid the system - about $5000.00 at the dealer )

at 75K miles, i put the car up on blocks. Because they can nickel and dime you and quite frankly drive you crazy, I did a major rebuild all at one time. Here is what was done:

Replaced all belts

rebuilt AC including new compressor

replaced the Plenum Gaskets and all vapor lines on the top of the motor. This has to be done on all of them or they will leak air and never idle properly. ( If you find one that idles up and down slightly, this is why.)

Rebuilt and replaced entire mineral oil system ( about $5000.00 as mentioned earlier )

Replaced all brake pads with OEM pads

Removed and turned all 4 rotors ( this is a 2 day job by the way )

Rebuilt all 6 Calipers ( yes, there are 2 sets of rotors on each front wheel and 1 set on the rears - There are only 2 guys in the country that are known for rebuilding these )

Replaced the rack and pinion with the Bentley Rack ( this is bigger and a little tighter than the original - highly recommended as it makes the car much safer and more responsive )

Replaced triangle bushings.

Replaced compliance bushings

Replaced plug wires with thicker silicone wires much better performance than the old thin ones

Replaced spark plugs with NGK OEM plugs ( shipped in from England )

Replaced tires with OEM Goodyear Eagle GA tires - most Rolls now have replacement tires that do not have a strong enough side walls to support the weight of this car. The result is a mushy ride

Removed and replaced all fluids including the differential, Transmission, Radiator.

Rebuilt all wheel bearings and repacked with the appropriate rolls lubricant.

Rebuilt shock tubes - these are little hidden green tubes that most people don't know exist, but are critical to the stability of the rear of the car

Rebuilt trunk latch mechanism

Brand new Sheepskin proper matching floor mats ( $2000.00 )

The things above would have cost about $18,000.00 at a Rolls Dealer - This is why is is is so critical to really understand this car before you buy one. There is nothing else like them. They are incredible, but it takes the right person to own one. Fortunately, this one is ready for another 80K miles. There are no guarantees but I have taken away most of the potential problems you could have with owning one of these for a long-time.

Installed an Alpine Stereo system with 4 Focal midrange and tweeter 2 piece speakers in each door as well as a 12" subwoofer in the trunk. ( About $3-4K worth of Stereo )

I still have all the original stereo equipment that came with the care ( an alpine tape deck ) - We were able to use the existing cd changer as it is compatible with the new Alpine that is in the car.

The car came with 2 cell phones - one in each center console front and back. I have them as well. I have all orginal parts for the car including the manuals in perfect condition.

NADA Average retail on this car is $60K. If I sold it for $50K it would be a bargain, but I will let it go for $38,999 obo for a quick sale.

Rolls-Royce brings Pebble Beach 2019 Collection to Monterey

Sat, Aug 17 2019

Rolls-Royce brought 13 Bespoke Commissions to Monterey Car Week, each of them only available to guests attending car week. Among the pride, said to be inspired by the resurgent natural landscape of Pebble Beach after years of natural disasters, are a single Phantom, four Cullinans, four Dawns, two Ghosts, and two Wraiths. The Phantom gets the most modest treatment, attired — as usual — for business in a Black Diamond and Gold Bespoke exterior. The interior highlight is the Phantom Gallery, which turns a swath of the instrument panel into a canvas for personalized art. The four Cullinan SUVs begin to taste the rainbow, drenched in the luxury maker's iced finish, which Rolls-Royce says is one of its most popular offerings. The ice finish entails a mildly paradoxical combination of a matte color with an elegant shine, and on the quartet of Cullinans comes in Burnout Grey, Black Green, Iced Gunmetal, and Galilea Blue. Outside the collection but just as interesting from a color perspective, Rolls-Royce showed a bespoke Cullinan in Fux Orange, the paint named after a collector who asked Rolls-Royce to color-match a woman's wrap he bought in Miami. The Ghost, Wraith, and Dawn go all the way with color as part of a Pastel Collection, their "painter's palette of colors" keyed off the riot of ground cover and wildflowers newly returned to the Monterey Peninsula. They include three Black Badge Commissions, the aim to show that Black Badge need not mean somber or dowdy. Rolls-Royce did the same thing last year with its Paradiso Black Badge Collection in Quail Blue.  This year's Ghost Black Badge comes in the new color Light Green Solid over a black interior livened up by Serenity Green splashes. The Wraith wears Semaphore Yellow over a Selby Grey and Lemon cabin speckled by the Black Badge Starlight Headliner. The Dawn shows off Coral Solid on its bodywork and Aero Cowling, made pristine by seven coats of paint and more than nine hours of hand polishing. The interior gets Arctic White and Sunset leather, evoking the "blooming northern California hills and valleys." Every one of the Black Badge Commissions will feature a "Pebble Beach 2019" treadplate, and the hardtops all get Black Badge Starlight Headliners. Anyone who is keen to put money down has one more day to get to Monterey.

Rolls-Royce just unveiled the Rolls-Royce of picnic baskets

Wed, Aug 17 2016

While automakers such as Cadillac and Koenigsegg have prepared debuts for full-size automobiles at Pebble Beach this week, Rolls-Royce has decided this will be the perfect occasion to unveil a picnic basket. That being said, this picnic basket is fully up to Rolls-Royce standards. And that's important because when you take your Rolls out for an al fresco lunch, a plain old blanket and an Igloo cooler simply won't do. There will only be 50 of these baskets made and they will accompany the final 50 Phantom Coupes and Drophead Coupes. Each is crafted from American walnut wood and leather that is coordinated with its accompanying car's exterior color. The basket also has milled aluminum hinges with the debut locations of the cars' concept predecessors. Because of course it does. View 11 Photos The basket is equipped with only the finest dining wares including a walnut cutting board, Rolls-Royce embroidered napkins, and stainless steel cutlery. Then there's the genuine lead crystal wine glasses and dishes with details in black paint and platinum. Obviously silver or gold wouldn't cut it. The basket will be shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance this weekend. So if you're there and are wondering why a picnic basket is being so prominently displayed, now you'll know. Evolutionary Rolls-Royce Phantom replacement captured for first time

Wed, Jan 27 2016

I saw a heavily camouflaged car on the road yesterday. I managed to get up close, but even then, I couldn't tell what it was. That's just the way it is sometimes – you don't always know what you're looking at. But there's no such uncertainty with this latest set of spy photos, though. This is very obviously a new Rolls-Royce. And it's huge, most likely the replacement for the long-serving Phantom, and what we're seeing here is surely the long-wheelbase model. It will be joined by a short-wheelbase version, but you'll want to break out your best princess wave to say buh-bye to the slow-selling Phantom Coupe and Drophead convertible. Despite its immense size, our spies claim the Phantom's footprint shouldn't change much with the next-generation model. That said, it will be far, far lighter than the today's nearly 5,900-pound Phantom. Expect a lot of aluminum, and even some carbon fiber when the new sedan debuts. It might end up lighter, but the new Phantom will still be easily identifiable as a Rolls. There's lots and lots of space behind the B-pillar, and like the current car, the C-pillar is expansive and feeds into a short, drooping rear deck. Up front, the current Phantom's overall style is set for a small evolution, with rectangular lights flanking a powerful, polished, rectangular grille. As buyers of $400,000 luxury sedans can usually afford fuel, it shouldn't be a surprise to hear that Rolls will soldier on with a stout V12 engine under the hood. As for rumors of a plug-in hybrid model, if it happens, it won't show up until after the 12-cylinder car's debut. That glitzy event will likely come at a 2017 auto show. European shows like Geneva or Frankfurt are safe bets, but we wouldn't be surprised to see the new Phantom bow at an event more focused on the brand's exceptionally wealthy clientele, like Monterey or even Villa d'Este. Check out the full round of spy images up top.
