Features:

Automatic transmission, Multi Exotic Wood trimmed interior, Grey sport leather interior w/ Blue piping, Heated seats, Wool interior roof, Alpine sound system with upgraded speakers (the sound system is outstanding), custom wool floor mats ( amazing & wonderful on the feet), etc...

VIN: SCAZA11C6VCX59929

HISTORY:

A little about me - I am an adult car fanatic (NOT a dealer) that has owned many vehicles. My three-car heated garage is kept cleaner than a lot of homes I have been in. I am indeed fairly anal when it comes to my vehicles. I keep all records and related items to any car I own.
This vehicle has absolutely NO paintwork, NO accident history (or evidence), and carries a clean title which is in my possession. Carfax, Service records, and so forth are all available. This Rolls was treated with top-notch service and any and all issues were addressed in the past by a local Greenwich, CT dealership.

My reasoning for selling is our family has grown and I cannot use the car as much as I would like.

ENGINE:

The smooth and linear power made by this amazing V8 is flawless. No smoke, no leaks of any type, no strange noises, no weird smells.

BODY:

The classic Deep Blue Metallic is in wonderful condition. There is NO previous body work, no accidents, no stories. The paint shines and emits great luster.  No nasty scratches, etc. There are small oxidation spots by the rear door window, see photo. Vehicle has been stored in a heated garage, has never seen snow.  She has been hand washed and waxed religiously.

INTERIOR:

The sport grey
leather smells of rich leather. The leather has been conditioned regularly using Lexol. The leather is in excellent condition and does NOT display any excessive wear appearance. The interior is sport grey with blue piping with multi exotic wood trim.  There are NO funky smells, no rips, no tears, no burns, no stains, no food articles, no pet hair, or other oddities in the interior. From a non-smoker home. Lastly, I NEVER use any shiny, greasy products on the interior to clean it, only low-luster (OEM) style cleaners or lotions

TIRES/WHEELS:

The wheels are in great condition. All 4 tires have been replaced at 30,006 miles (less than 4K on them).

BRAKES:

Perform flawlessly without any grunts, grinds, squeals, or thunks. Emergency brake pulls to spec.

TRANSMISSION:

The transmission runs and shifts smoothly.  No grunts, grinds, or sloppiness. The drivetrain is tight.

CONCLUSION:

This is an overall magnificent ROLLS ROYCE that I have thoroughly enjoyed. The vehicle is in outstanding condition and dressed in a not-so common color with rich interior appointments. The color combo is very rare
and as far as I am concerned by far THE BEST COLOR both outside & inside!
This amazing four-door sedan is close to the end of when ROLLS ROYCE was made by hand in England. The driving experience in this vehicle is bar-none, euphoric.  It’s solid, powerful, tight, and in-tune with the road.

PAYMENT & TERMS:
The successful high bidder will submit a $1,500 non-refundable deposit within 2 business days of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle. Buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due (plus applicable fees and taxes) within 7 days of the close of the auction. All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle.

Purchase must be handled with cash (in person), certified check,  bank transfer, or 3rd-party financing. Financing (through your own resource) MUST be arranged by buyer BEFORE end of auction. Do NOT bid if you are not financially capable or approved of purchasing this vehicle. Vehicle will not depart the premise until complete payment (verified) is made and cleared.  The buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping.

As with all used cars, no warranties are expressed or implied but I can personally attest this vehicle is in top notch condition.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to arrange an in-person review.

I reserve the right to end this listing anytime should the vehicle no longer be available for sale, due to local sale.

Thank you,

Jon

2020 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Road Test | Aboard the HMS Cullinan

Thu, Aug 20 2020

A tenet of good writing says you can’t modify a superlative. “Very best” gilds the lily, and “one of the best” is a hedge. Best is all you need say. ThatÂ’s the spirit of the phrase “the Rolls-Royce of Â…,” which gets applied to any kind of thing, say a particularly nice vacuum cleaner. It's immediately understood — “Rolls-Royce” is all you need say. So itÂ’s a special occasion when the pinnacle of automotive excellence, and the symbol of supremacy in everything wrought by human hands, heaves to in oneÂ’s driveway. The Rolls in this case was the 2020 Roll-Royce Cullinan, the most expensive SUV in the world, this one costing $394,275. This Cullinan arrived in lustrous Jubilee Silver (a big improvement over the purple one our contributor Jason Harper drove a few months ago). The car appeared to be carved from a silver ingot. Our first-drive review back in 2018 called the three-ton Cullinan a monolith, and thatÂ’s spot-on. It looks imposing and not to be trifled with, like a British warship. And in fact this car was built to a nautical theme, with a two-tone interior of Charles Blue / Navy Blue. A hand-painted coachline of Charles Blue traced its gunwales. Cullinan even sounds a bit like a British warship (they have the best names). But its namesake is the 3,100-karat Cullinan diamond, the largest ever discovered, chunks of which are part of the Crown Jewels. The car is an enduring symbol of British Empire, though with a lot of German parts. What can one say? We drive a lot of expensive cars at Autoblog, but it's a bit hard to understand why there even is such a thing as a Rolls-Royce press vehicle. What sort of information could a critic impart? Do you expect to hear it wasnÂ’t nice? Well, it was. Was the V12 not smooth? Like English cream. Was it not comfortable? Its cabin was expansive and its seats accommodating, and its ride was every bit the “magic carpet” Rolls promises, with sensors alerting the air suspension of upcoming unpleasantries in the road surface. And like a magic carpet, the system settles the car back down to earth for a gentle landing when youÂ’ve arrived. Yet the self-righting wheel centers make it appear as if you'd never left. And who would benefit from criticisms, if there were any? Few reading this have the means, but those who do would likely choose something more anonymous for real-world use, such as a top-trim Range Rover. Even a Bentley Bentayga would be less expensive, if only slightly less attention-getting.

Rolls-Royce bringing art deco-inspired cars to Paris, celebrates with posters

Thu, 20 Sep 2012

Rolls-Royce announced that it will be bringing some "art-deco inspired" cars to the 2012 Paris Motor Show, and while we really have no clue what that means just yet, we're sure the cars are going to be very expensive.
The images show what appears to be a stylized Rolls-Royce Phantom or Ghost in an artistic rendering that would look at home in South Beach. Like the cars, Rolls-Royce is going all out with the launch of these special cars with an invitation-only introduction including a champagne reception.
We only have to wait until next week to see what features and styling changes Rolls-Royce has in store for these new bespoke models, but for now, enjoy this trio of art deco goodness and check out the press release below.

BMW preparing two concepts for Villa d'Este

Thu, 20 Mar 2014

Every spring, the finest automobiles ever to grace tarmac gather on the shores of Lake Como for the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. It's a chance for the most beautiful classics to compete for awards and for automakers and design studios to show off their concept cars under the soft light of the Italian sun. But while most of the vehicles old and new that show up for the concours are ones we've seen before, BMW takes things a step further.
As patron of the concorso d'eleganza for the past ten years, BMW regularly cooks up something new for the glamorous extravaganza. Last year it teamed up with Pininfarina for the Gran Lusso Coupé and revealed it alongside the Concept 90 motorcycle. The year before that came the BMW Zagato Coupe, preceded by the 328 Hommage and the M1 Hommage (pictured above) before it.
The theme for this year's event is the Roaring Twenties. BMW may not have been known back then on the same level as Bugatti or Duesenberg, but Rolls-Royce sure was.
