This long wheel base Rolls Royce has all the luxury features offered at this time with power seats and power windows. Powerful, torquey V8 that starts up every time very quickly with no stumbling or knocks in the engine. Exhaust runs clear with no smoke, no squeaks or rattles anywhere in the car. The wood finish in dash and throughout the car still has its mirror shine. The Leather is still very soft and has no rips or tears in any of the seats. Nice silver exterior with black leather and cherry wood interior. Well performing rear wheel drive cruiser. Backseat comfort in a Rolls Royce is uncompromising and without equal in any vehicle. Full size headrests throughout the vehicle. Leather was well maintained and still has its softness and pliability. All matching floor mats that are custom fit and original from factory, as well as original wheel covers in great shape. Everything is the car is genuine Rolls Royce parts and accessories. All original, all in great shape. Fuel Injector System recently replaced at great cost by authorized and experienced Rolls Royce technicians to keep car road worthy for years to come. All parts used are genuine and work was done to make sure car would be trouble free. New brakes as well done within the last couple of months. Did not plan to sell so soon but it is a big car and no longer fits in my garage. Car can truly be a daily driver, but was never used as one. Great reliability has been put into this Silver Spirit once again. No reserve. These cars are truly rare at such a great price. A joy to drive and be driven in. Strong car everything works. Rolls-Royce to reach 4,000 units this year
Tue, 30 Sep 2014Rolls-Royce is, by nature, an exclusive auto marque, but it has been steadily increasing its sales to the point that it could be looking at 4,000 units by the end of this year, setting a new record for the German-owned British automaker.
You don't even need to go back a decade to find Rolls-Royce sales hovering around the 1,000-unit mark. But that was when Goodwood only offered the Phantom saloon. The subsequent addition of the Phantom DHC and Phantom Coupe helped expand its portfolio, enlarged even further by the addition of the Ghost in 2010, by which time total sales were reaching 3,000 units.
The Spirit of Ecstasy marque has been hovering around the 3,500 mark ever since, but with the Wraith now in the mix and its reach extending into growing markets around the world, Autocar reports that global sales could top 4,000 units this year. (Of course that pales in comparison to one-time sister brand Bentley, which topped 10,000 deliveries last year, but Rolls-Royce typically competes at a higher price bracket.)
Rolls-Royce looks to the heavens with diamond-encrusted Celestial Phantom
Wed, 06 Nov 2013The Middle East is a vital market for Rolls-Royce, particularly in the Gulf emirates. So the British automaker wouldn't let the region's premier auto show go by unnoticed, and to that end has rolled into the Dubai Motor Show with an array of special editions.
Chief among them is the Celestial edition Phantom, a customized limousine that initially debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show but has returned to Dubai with the addition of 446 diamonds hand-set into the door panels, center console and cabin privacy partition. Taking the spirit of the Phantom's trademark starlight headliner even further, the Celestial edition reproduces overhead the constellations exactly as they were on the evening of January 1, 2003, when Rolls-Royce delivered the first Phantom to its owner, as verified by the South Downs Planetarium in Chichester, England.
The Bespoke division also fitted the Celestial Phantom with inky blue leather, special glassware and a custom picnic set. The wheel hubs are also engraved and the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament uplit, demonstrating just a few of the possibilities awaiting those with the means not only to buy a new Rolls-Royce, but also commission special features from the Bespoke department.
Rolls-Royce Dawn teased, will debut on September 8
Wed, Sep 2 2015The Rolls-Royce Dawn is coming, and we now have a handful of teaser shots, showing what we already know will be a four-passenger convertible based on the Ghost/Wraith. We have one more detail to confirm, too: the Dawn will officially greet the world on Tuesday, September 8, ahead of a public showing at the Frankfurt Motor Show. We can't yet show you the whole car, but there's still quite a bit we can tell you. The Dawn has a lot of Wraith elements, but is different in a number of ways (and not just because it's a convertible). Excluding the doors, every body panel on the Dawn is new. The front looks like a Ghost, but the chin is pulled forward slightly. With the top up, the convertible kind of looks like a big, fancy hot rod. It's an exceptionally pretty car, especially in dark blue. The interior uses a four-seat configuration, with ample space in the rear for passengers. The Dawn's cabin uses the same layout as the Wraith, and it's seriously luxurious. There is plenty more information we still can't share with you, like engine details, but it won't be long before we can spill all the beans. Stay tuned for the official details and images on Tuesday, September 8.
