Hi there,
Up for auction is our 83 Rolls Royce Silver Spur PARTS CAR. 75,000 miles, LOW MILAGE. NO RESERVE It was a daily driver up until about a year ago; at that time we were closing our automotive repair shop and the car was parked in a storage lot. Someone threw a couple chunks of concrete over the fence, to be clever I guess, and one broke the back window, another dented and scratched the trunk lid pretty good. We decided it would be better to part out the car because it was worth a lot more in parts than selling as a whole and we needed to thin the herd and free up some space. After a year of parting out random things here and there (not very proactively) we no longer have a storage lot and trying to part out this car in front of our house isn't going so well. This is a great opportunity for someone with the time and space to dismantle the car and sell everything, the engine alone should go for at least $1,500, control arms also go for that amount from the research I've done, Transmission, another $1,500, that already more then what we are listing this for. Engine ran flawlessly when parked and nothing has been taken off the engine, so its still all there and complete. See below for list of parts we have sold from the vehicle, the majority of the car is there. Body is very very straight, original white paint but was kept clean and buffed. Interior is red leather, sun baked and normal wear and tear for a car of this age. Seats would need to be redone if going into a nicer car. Everything is functional, nothing was broken or not working when it was parked. Honestly it was a mistake to start taking this car apart, it was beautiful and mobbed in the rain, couldn't hydroplane this car if you tried, at least here in Santa Barbara. You could technically find the missing parts, if you are looking for a project, and restore this to its original beauty, never been in an accident as far as I know and like I said super straight. But it would be much much easier to just turn it into loads of profit parting it out piece by piece.
SOLD AS IS - FOR PARTS ONLY - Car has broken back window, dent in right rear door, and trunk lid, missing steering rack, fuel pump, grille, flying lady figure, hub caps, headlights, tail lights, turn signals, interior carpet, misc body parts such as 2 door handles, glove box door and latch, speedometer, misc panels from dash area, one window regulator, window switch, ignition switch and key, catalytic converter. Message me for particular parts, there might be a few more missing, but no major components, and nothing from the engine. Small rust area along back window seal, paint is original white, no major chips or scratches, has been buffed quite a few times, body was kept in great condition, was a daily driver. Interior is red leather, which has sun damage and is cracking. Wood trim on doors and dash have the top layer cracking/peeling. Body is very straight. Ran when parked about a year ago, no engine parts are missing. mileage 75,000 miles. Again AS IS condition.
Let me know if you have any questions, or would like additional pictures/info. Shipping/transportation is the buyers complete responsibility, but I will help in any way I can, I'm really easy to deal with, just let me know what you need. Non-Refundable $500 deposit is due within 3 days of auction end. Shipping and payment arrangements must be made within 7 days of auctions end, however if you need more time to figure out shipping we will work with you.

Rolls-Royce names new chief executive for North America
Mon, Sep 28 2015Rolls-Royce has announced a changing of the guard in its North American office. Stepping out of his role as North American regional president is Eric Shepherd (pictured). In his place, the uber-luxe British automaker is bringing in Pedro Mota, who comes by way of Porsche Cars North America, where he served as the west coast regional vice president. Mota holds an MBA from European business school INSEAD, and a Master's in electrical engineering from Lisbon Technical University. He'll join Rolls-Royce with almost immediate effect on October 1 to learn the ropes before taking over on January 1, 2016 - the day after Shepherd vacates the office. The company was rather unspecific in disclosing what Shepherd will be doing next, saying only that he'll be staying "within the Rolls-Royce family" in a "new entrepreneurial role in the super-luxury automotive retail sector." The shift in leadership in the North American office at Rolls-Royce comes as the automaker prepares to role out new models. It's now in the process of adding the new Dawn convertible to the Ghost/Wraith family. It's also preparing to launch its first SUV, known internally as project Cullinan, into a burgeoning new market segment for ultra-luxurious crossovers. It's an area with which Mota, having helped move so many Cayennes and helped introduce the new Macan through West Coast dealers, ought to be intimately familiar. Related Video: LEADERSHIP TRANSITION AT ROLLS-ROYCE MOTOR CARS NORTH AMERICA Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has announced that President (North America), Eric Shepherd, has decided to move to a new entrepreneurial role in the super-luxury automotive retail sector within the Rolls-Royce family. Chief Executive, Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes, said, "Eric's move is a big loss to our successful business at Rolls-Royce North America but we are highly supportive of talented managers like Eric pursuing personal business opportunities, particularly when it means they stay within the Rolls-Royce community. Eric's dynamic leadership of our North American operation has been highly effective. He has established a strong team and cohesive network which has led to a substantial strengthening of our business in the region." Shepherd will continue in office as President of Rolls-Royce NA until 31 December 2015. He will be succeeded by Pedro Mota who will join Rolls-Royce NA from Porsche Cars NA where he served as Vice President, Area West.
2019 Rolls-Royce Cullinan First Drive Review | $325,000 of monolithic serenity
Wed, Oct 10 2018JACKSON HOLE, Wyoming – The north face of Snow King Mountain drops a dizzying 1,571 feet, forming the steepest ski slope in the lower 48 states. Considering the Rolls-Royce Cullinan's prevailing theme of superlatives– it's named after the world's largest uncut diamond and claims the highest starting price of any SUV on the planet– it's no surprise that my first experience in the $325,000 monolith involved driving it up Snow King's switchback crisscrossed trail. For a vehicle that proudly displays a retractable Spirit of Ecstasy ornament above the imposing "Parthenon" grille, there are a few subtle ways the Cullinan departs from Rolls-Royce's tried and true touchpoints. Though its platform is an expanded version of the Phantom VIII's new so-called Architecture of Luxury, the aluminum spaceframe houses Rolls-Royce's first-ever all-wheel drive powertrain. The twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V12 is another familiar element that delivers 637 lb-ft of peak torque at an even lower 1,600 rpm; horsepower remains at 563, or as they once said in olden times, "sufficient." But unlike in Phantom and Ghost, the rear passengers aren't nestled behind the D-pillar like starlets in hiding but instead are exposed with a clear view of the surroundings thanks to considerable acreage of double-paned glass. The commanding visibility from the elevated seats is lovely, especially when approaching Snow King Mountain's initial ascent. Though Cullinan is positioned as having some degree of offroad capability, don't expect the complex Terrain Response settings you'll find in a run-of-the-mill Range Rover. The only drive mode setting is "Offroad," which elevates the air suspension, stiffens the ride (to avoid bottoming out the dampers), and ensures that wheels are pushed earthward if contact is lost. Throttle response is softened, and traction control becomes less restrictive and can be completely disabled. Cullinan feels large and commanding from the driver seat which makes tackling the steep grade seem all the more doable. Push the Offroad button and the vehicle lifts up in steps, like a camel getting on its feet. There's a notably softer pause between throttle input and forward motion when you're climbing loose gravel, so much so that you might need to bury the throttle to get going. What's actually happening beneath you, though, remains a bit of a mystery thanks to the surreal levels of isolation and sound deadening embedded into this platform.
Even in a down economy, Rolls-Royce is on a roll
Wed, 05 Dec 2012Limited Volume, Big Margins Spell Success
Bigger isn't always better, especially when it comes to selling super luxury. Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös expects the British automaker to again post a record year, despite the economic troubles in Europe and weak growth in both the US and China.
"It is not all doom and gloom out there," Müller-Ötvös explains, noting that the declining sales in Europe and elsewhere have been offset by good performance for the marque in the Middle East, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Russia.
