Offered is my hardly used 1976 Rolls Silver Shadow - Wraith II, it is a very desirable color commination of Black with Black Ever-Flex top, and red Leather interior. The Rolls is rust free, has her original paint that still shines with little buffing. The leather is nice original with no tears, wood door caps are useable, but could stand to be refinished to really glow. The Rolls was purchased from a Southern California original owner's estate in 2004, had been in storage since 1998. There are original receipts totaling over $8,500. for brake work, air-conditioning and general maintenance, all performed less than 200 miles before the Rolls was put into storage. I only state this because over the 10 years I've owned the Rolls it has only been driven less than 500 miles. I bought it on a impulse and never felt comfortable driving it, and now I've lost my lease on the garage downtown. It has not been started for over 2 yrs.

I have the Order and Build sheets, copy of all warranty work performed, original Sales Brochure, copy of road test article from September's Road and Track, leather bond handbook including supplement to handbook, original warranty card, EPA's gas mileage sheet, Full set of small tools, and 1965-1967 Workshop Manuals with 1965-1980 Illustrated Parts Catalogue on CD's

Rolls-Royce Ghost meets its muddy maker in Jakarta flood

When severe weather or a natural disaster strikes an area, it's hard to get sentimental over trivial possessions like cars, but at the same time, as auto enthusiasts, it always pains us to see a rare car lost regardless of the circumstances. Heavy rains in Jakarta, Indonesia have produced the worst flooding in the city since 2007, which according to Reuters has left an estimated 18,000 people displaced from their homes in addition to six deaths, leaving the roadways covered covered in feet of water.
One of the many cars claimed by the rising waters was this Rolls-Royce Ghost that is surrounded by water that almost fully covers the massive wheels. There is no word as to how much water got inside this Ghost, but it was obviously enough that it could be bailed out by the bucket.

Rolls-Royce electric airplane smashes record, hits 387.4 mph

Just two months after its maiden flight, Rolls-Royce's "Spirit of Innovation" has hit a top speed of 387.4 mph, tentatively smashing the speed record for electric airplanes, Gizmodo has reported. It also claimed the top speed of 345.4 MPH over a 3 kilometer (1.86 mile) course and lowest time to a 3,000 meter (9,843 feet) altitude (202 seconds). The records have yet to be certified, but if the 345.5 mph speed stands, it would beat the current record of 213 mph — held by a Siemens-powered Extra 330LE Â— by an impressive 132 mph.Â Rolls-Royce (the aviation, not the car company), conducted the tests on November 16 as part of its ACCEL (accelerating electrification of flight) project. To have the records certified, it's submitting the trials to the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI), the body in charge of world aviation records.
