Watch these Super Bowl car commercials [UPDATE]

On Sunday, February 3, the New England Patriots take on the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 53 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Some will watch because of the storyline of the old-school dynasty facing off against the new-school wunderkinds, but a large chunk of people will solely be watching for the commercials. Lucky for those who slot into the latter category, many of the manufacturers release their super bowl ads ahead of time, or have simply opted to release the commercials only online. Scroll down to see what car companies have already shown their cards. Audi Audi goes the comedic route in its clip for the Big Game. It starts with a grandpa showing his grandson a gorgeous Audi e-tron GT tucked away in a garage before he's shaken awake. Turns out he was just choking on a cashew in his cubicle at his boring job. Dodge Dodge does what it knows: create enough smoke to punch more holes in the ozone layer. Set to "The Devil Went Down to Georgia (the Super Bowl is in Atlanta, get it!?), a Challenger SRT Hellcat widebody, Charger SRT Hellcat, and Durango SRT are seen ripping through a city, leaving a trail of rubber crumbs in their wakes. Genesis Genesis has not yet released a commercial prior to the Super Bowl, but it is the official luxury vehicle of the NFL. Because of this, Genesis is hosting a fan experience for 10 days before the game. It will showcase the brand's cars, offer games, and have photos opportunities and autograph days. Hyundai Jason Bateman alert! Hyundai is one of the few companies to hook a major celebrity for its advertisement, and the casting is perfect. Bateman plays a doorman who takes people to various terrible events in life, including root canals, the middle seat, and shopping for a car. The ad centers around Hyundai's Shopper Assurance, which is Hyundai's new method for car shopping. Jeep An old 1963 Jeep Gladiator finds its strength in the crusher and transforms into a a new 2020 Gladiator, with a firm declaration that the nameplate is officially back. Kia Through Kia's commercial, a young boy wonders out loud what it'd be like if the millions spent on Super Bowl commercials were used to help others.

The new 2019 Ram 1500 made its debut at the Detroit Auto Show last week. At the reveal, Ram rolled out several variants, including the Ram 1500 Limited and Ram 1500 Rebel. That was just a taste, a brief bite to whet your truck-loving palate. As you can see in these spy photos, there are far, far more models to come. FCA just released details on the new Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn, and it looks to carry on its predecessor's Southwestern-inspired theme. The Laramie Longhorn can best be described as a Western ranch on wheels. The choice of colors, materials and details are there to bring about a sense of Texas-style luxury. Though the two-tone paint and LED headlights are nice, the real meat is inside the truck. It's easy to see why Ram calls out cowboy boots, pocket watches and horseman's saddles. Just take a look at the metal buckle on the back of the seat pockets. View 19 Photos The dashboard, door panels and armrests are done in full-grain leather. The center console, instrument cluster, seats and door panels are embossed with an alligator skin pattern. There are chrome and nickel accents throughout and a "Longhorn" emblem branded onto the wood on the dashboard. There's also wood on the doors and center console. There are two interior color options, both with contrasting piping: Mountain Brown/Light Mountain Brown and Black/Cattle Tan. Both are full leather. In addition to the optional two-tone paint, the Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn gets a chrome grille, bumpers and tow hooks. Side steps and wheel flares are standard. The standard wheel is a new 20-inch design, though a larger 22-inch wheel is available. The Texas theme continues outside with "belt-buckle badging" on the truck's side. All the rest of the 2019 Ram 1500 features are here, too, including 4G WiFi, a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 5 USB ports and a center console large enough to bathe in. The Laramie Longhorn model should get Ram's tried and true 5.7-liter Hemi V8, now available with the eTorque mild-hybrid system. Fiat Chrysler wins top Total Quality Award for first time

The Strategic Vision Total Quality Awards are 20 years old in 2015, and Chrysler has never topped the awards before. Until now, that is. Fiat Chrysler takes the overall award on the corporate level with six segment leaders from Fiat, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram. The Fiat 500 won Small Multi-Function Car, the 500e won Small Alternative Powertrain, the Dodge Challenger tied at the top in the Specialty Coupe category alongside the very un-coupe Mini Cooper Countryman, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited took the Entry SUV category, the Dodge Durango won in Mid-Size SUV, and Ram took the overall in Best Non-Luxury Brand. The accolade means FCA has gone from one segment winner in 2010 to overall victory in five years. Cars have gotten so good, says Strategic Vision, that it is harder than ever to win. In fact, says the group, 18 years ago 85 percent of all vehicle brands had more than half a problem per vehicle. This year, no brand has more than half a problem per vehicle. The organization measures "over 155 specific aspects of the customer's experience," and scores are based on input from more than 46,000 customers. Other notables in and near the winner's circle include Volkswagen and General Motors, who tied for second place on the corporate scale, one point behind FCA. The Mini Cooper Roadster scored the highest of any model, the Corvette Stingray Convertible and Coupe scored the second- and third-highest. The Chevrolet Colorado is the first domestic Standard Pickup winner in more than ten years, and the Nissan Titan carried the Full-Size Pickup category.
