THIS IS A 2004 PORSCHE CAYENNE SPORT MODEL IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION,
AS MENTIONED, THE CAR HAS CUSTOM AIR VENTED FRONT FENDERS ($1000) AND A FEW OTHER UPGRADES THAT SETS IT APART FROM THE AVERAGE CAYENNE.
IT RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE A BAT OUT OF HELL ! ITS VERY FAST AND FUN TO DRIVE.
I PURCHASED IT LESS THAN A YEAR A GO FOR MY WIFE BUT SHE NEEDED A BIGGER CAR SO I PARKED IT IN MY BUILDING AND PURCHASED A LINCOLN NAVIGATOR FOR HER.
LAST MONTH THE BATTERY DIED FROM LACK OF USE SO I TOWED IT TO THE MECHANIC WHERE HE INSTALLED A NEW BATTERY ($400 JOB AS THE BATTERY IS LOCATED UNDER THE DRIVER'S SEAT) A NEW IGNITION KEY/REMOTE FROM PORSCHE ($450 FOR KEY AND RE PROGRAM) HE ALSO TUNED THE CAR INCLUDING AN OIL CHANGE AND REPLACED THE WIPERS, HORNS, FRONT BRAKES INCLUDING NEW LARGE 380MM ROTORS AND SENSORS ($700)
THIS VISIT COST ME OVER $2000
THE CAR LOOKS AND SOUNDS AMAZING, IT HAS FREEZING COLD AC AND LIKE NEW TIRES.
IT MIGHT NEED A SOFTWARE UPGRADE FOR THE TRANSMISSION, IT SHIFTS NICE AND TIGHT BUT SOMETIMES IT HAS LIKE A SHIVER AND THE MECHANIC SAID I HAVE TO TAKE IT TO PORSCHE FOR THE UPGRADE.
THERE IS ALSO A SMALL LIFTER NOISE THAT USUALLY GOES AWAY WHEN YOU HIT THE GAS PADDLE (WE CHECKED COMPRESSION AND ITS FINE SO IT REALLY DIDN'T BOTHER ME AT ALL)
NICE BOSE SOUND SYSTEM,
GREAT LEATHER INTERIOR,
VERY CLEAN CAR,
TINTED GLASS,
EVERYTHING WORKS,

VW Group recalls 27k Touaregs, Audis and Porsches for fuel leak
Tue, Jan 27 2015The Volkswagen Group is one of the most expansive in the entire industry, and shares parts across more product lines than we could wrap our heads around. So when the German megalith finds a fault in one of its components, it has the capacity to spread like wildfire. The latest set of recall notices from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration covers vehicles from the Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche divisions. The problem revolves around the fuel injection system, which could potentially leak and cause a fire. The recall affects – deep breath now – the 2012 VW Touareg Hybrid, the 2011-12 Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid and Panamera S Hybrid, 2011-12 Audi S4, S5 and Q7 and the 2012-13 Audi A7. All told, that amounts to 27,376 units, the owners of which can expect to hear from the manufacturer to have the fuel rails replaced, along with their corresponding seals (having nothing to do with marine mammals writing letters). RECALL Subject : Fuel Injection System Fuel Leak Report Receipt Date: JAN 20, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V019000 Component(s): FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE Potential Number of Units Affected: 26,008 Manufacturer: Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. SUMMARY: Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 Audi S4, S5, Q7, 2012 Audi A6, Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid, and 2012-2013 Audi A7 vehicles. In the affected vehicles the fuel injection system may experience a fuel leak. CONSEQUENCE: A fuel leak in the injection system in the presence of an ignition source, increases the risk of a fire. REMEDY: Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel rails and corresponding seals, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin March 10, 2015. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-822-2834 or Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298. Volkswagen's numbers for this recall are 24AP for Audi customers and 24BK for Volkswagen customers. NOTES: Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov. ### RECALL Subject : Fuel Injection System may Leak Report Receipt Date: JAN 20, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V016000 Component(s): ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING Potential Number of Units Affected: 1,368 Manufacturer: Porsche Cars North America, Inc. 2014 Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition is the ace of base
Tue, 14 Jan 2014If there's one automaker that certainly doesn't skimp on the special edition models, it's Porsche, and here at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, we're getting our first look at yet another unique take on one of the company's most popular models. It's called the Cayenne Platinum Edition, and while many special models build off of higher-trim vehicles, this one adds a bit of flair to the most basic version of the luxury SUV.
The Platinum Edition is available on Cayennes with the base 3.6-liter V6 or the 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6. Platinum models are set apart from other models with the addition of silver exterior accents on the grilles, window trim and rear spoiler, as well as the two-tone, black-and-beige interior scheme. It also comes standard with the eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission, Power Steering Plus, Park Assist, the Convenience Package and Bose audio.
The cost of entry? $63,000 for the naturally aspirated Cayenne or $66,900 for the diesel. That's a full $13,000 more than the base model, but Porsche says it's actually a bargain as opposed to selecting all of those options individually. Have a look below for Porsche's official release.
Porsche 991 vs. 930 Flatnose in 911 Turbo convertible faceoff
Tue, 15 Jul 2014The Porsche 911 Turbo has a legacy of being a tough car to drive. With a ton of power set right over the rear wheels, its reputation is to lose control as soon as the driver stops concentrating. However, this isn't quite so true anymore. The modern ones are tamed through technology with things like hydraulically controlled engine mounts, not to mention all-wheel drive. In its latest video, Autocar tries to decide whether 25 years of progress really makes the turbo a better vehicle.
It's summer, so what better version to compare than the 911 Turbo Cabriolet? In one corner, Autocar has the latest and greatest 2014 version pumping out 513 horsepower and 486 pound-feet of torque with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Its challenger is a 1989 911 flatnose convertible sporting 326 hp and 347 lb-ft of torque. It's a truly rare car in the UK with only eight of them remaining on the roads in that region.
Granted, this test isn't so much a battle as it is a comparison. There's no question that the modern 911 would beat the classic in practically every objective category. What the video aims to find out is whether the flatnose is better in subjective measurements like its "feel." Scroll down to watch these two droptop Porsches square off.
