2013 Boxster S Pdk, Lots Of Great Options, $78100 Msrp, Warranty Till 6/21/2017 on 2040-cars
Macon, Georgia, United States
This is a beautiful 2013 Boxster S Roadster. If you're a German car Geek like me, you know that this is one of the best cars to come out of Stuttgart in years. And this one can save you thousands over new!. The In Service Date is 6/21/2013, so it has the balance of the Porsche warranty remaining, that is, til 6/21/2017 or 50k miles. I have the window sticker, all the books, guides, manuals, both expensive keys (careful, these things are SUPER expensive if you only get one). This car has great equipment selection and a new MSRP of $78100. It has the options that we all like--about $18000 of them! I've put up a good pictures of the sticker, but the quick info is that she has the fantastic PDK transmission, Extended Navigation 3.0 with Infotainment package ($3860!), Premioum Package (another $3760), power sport seats left and right w/ heating AND Ventilation, 20" Carrera S wheels, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), front and rear park assist, and the Sport Design Steering Wheel. Of course, lots of the good stuff is standard on the S model. THe miles are approximately 7700, but it is all I can do to keep from firing her up and driving it. It absolutely looks, feels and smells new. (If you have not driven it, the PDK is the best manumatic transmission I have ever seen). It is parked on my climate controlled showroom, and I have gone over it with the best products from Meguiars, Griots, and more. It's a non smoker, and I do not see one ding or curbed wheel. I am 33 years in the business and a lifetime Porsche Geek. I speak the language and am a PCA member. I pay by the Golden Rule, and will do my best to make your transaction simple and fun--it should be with a car like this. Please check me out at www.encoremacon.com. Check the "testimonials" and "the difference" sections. I have plenty of experience with long distance transactions, well before Ebay came to be..I can help you with advice on transport, travel, and financing. Be aware also, that unlike the "big city" car dealers, I do not have hundreds of dollars in "doc fees". I only charge what is requireed in my State. And yes, I have 100% Ebay feedback. If you need another area photographed, or a description, please let me know. The car is 15 feet from my desk, so I will give you the most direct and accrurate description possible. I am a micro-sized seller, and I will get back to you if I miss you. This is a smart move, approximately $15 THOUSAND dollars under window sticker. You can have full confidence with a clean Carfax and Autocheck reports, and a Porsche enthusiast seller, not just some "car slinger". I'm just south of Atlanta, less than an hour from Hartsfield Airport, so logistics are easy. Good luck and I hope you can own one of the finest, most fun Porsches I have ever been in. |

Next Porsche Cayman and Boxster to be called 718?
Wed, Dec 24 2014Porsche has spent a few years sorting out its strategy away from the 911 and its crossovers, among the moving targets being the now-moribund Ferrari-fighting 960, the still-very-much-alive variant(s) coming with the next-generation Panamera, and what appears to be a puissant Cayman that could be called the GT4. Earlier this year there were rumors that a flat-four engine would join the Stuttgart maker's lineup, and that it could go into a roadster called the 718 that would undercut the current $51,400 price of the Boxster, and the Boxster would go upscale, leapfrogging the $52,600 price of the Cayman. Then Porsche turned out the lights on the 718 project, its R&D head telling Autocar, "We have a very good entry point to the range with the Boxster, and we see no reason to go below that." But Automobile reports that while the 718 roadster is dead, the 718 name will live: a la the 911, a new 718 range will encompass coupes and convertibles spanning a wide performance envelope. The suggestion is that the Boxster and Cayman names will be retired. According to Automobile, this will give Porsche a place to put its flat-four engine, into entry level models that – countering Porsche's earlier statement – "come in at a significantly lower price than" the present Boxster. Two displacements are expected, in three outputs: a 2.0-liter with 285 horsepower, a 2.5-liter with 360 hp and a turbocharged version with 400 hp. It's also been speculated that the engine could power an entry-level Macan. It's been reported before that Porsche wants to make use of the 718 name to promote its motorsport heritage, that model having carried Stirling Moss to victory among its many racing triumphs. If it happens, even though Automobile calls it part of "a slight perspective shift," we think it'll be a big shift for the two popular models, but it's not like we haven't had time to get ready. We're told the new moniker will be introduced in 2016 as a 2017 model. News Source: Automobile via World Car Fans Porsche Convertible Coupe porsche 718
Porsche goes Platinum with special edition Cayenne
Thu, 05 Dec 2013The other day, Porsche announced a new special edition of the Cayenne. We didn't pay it much heed because it appeared to be exclusive to Europe (or, at least, markets other than ours), but now Porsche has announced its availability in North America, as well.
It's called the Platinum Edition, and it's available exclusively on the entry-level models with either the 3.6-liter V6 or 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6. You can tell the special edition apart from any other Cayenne by the silver details (accenting the grilles, window trim and rear spoiler) and its two-tone black and beige leather interior. But what makes it a compelling choice is the long list of equipment, which Porsche has identified as the most requested options and fitted them as standard, including the eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission, Power Steering Plus, Park Assist, Convenience Package and Bose audio.
Pricing starts at $63,300 for the Cayenne Platinum Edition, or $66,900 for the Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition. That represents a premium of approximately $13,000 over a bone-stock model, but actually saves you a few grand if you were going to select all those options anyway. Check out the press release below for all the details.
Porsche prioritizes 200,000-unit sales target over exclusivity [w/poll]
Thu, 21 Aug 2014Would a Porsche still be a Porsche if it weren't as exclusive? That's the question which industry pundits are asking - and customers may soon as well - as the German automaker emerges from the fringe in pursuit of larger volumes.
A dozen years ago Porsche was barely selling over 50,000 units per annum. In a sales surge that has gathered pace as fast as a 911 Turbo, however, it was already hovering around the 100,000-unit mark a few years later. Last year it sold over 160,000, and has targeted 200,000 units by 2018. But it may not even take that long.
Automotive News reports that Porsche has advanced its targets to reach for 200,000 units by the end of this year or the next. The bump in sales would be driven particularly by the introduction of the new Macan, of which it aims to sell 50,000 units annually, starting next year. The Cayenne currently stands far and away as its most successful model. The 911 and Panamera have swapped second place a few times over the past five years, followed by the Boxster and Cayman.
