2009 Porsche Boxster S Convertible 2-door 3.4l on 2040-cars
Springfield, Oregon, United States
I'm looking to sell my 2009 Porsche Boxster S. Mileage is under 18,000 as I write this. I'm the second owner, having purchased it with just under 9,000 miles from Sunset Porsche in Beaverton Oregon in August 2011. All service work has been accomplished there except for the last oil change which I had done locally here in Eugene Oregon (for my convenience) at 16,202 miles. All service is up to date and there are no outstanding maintenance issues or repairs. This car has been exciting to own, but I'm ready to move on to something else now. It's been garaged at home, driven in the rain perhaps two or three times only (I have a daily commuter car). Each winter it's been under a custom Porsche car cover in my garage and on a battery tender trickle charger to keep the battery fresh. The car is in near mint condition with barely a tiny rock chip here and there and minimal wear showing on the drivers seat, pertinent to 18,000 miles. The previous owner upgraded the steering wheel and shift knob to Makassar (wood) which is a really nice, custom touch. He also traded out the side marker lights and rear mid brake light covers to clear which looks very sharp. No other customization of any sort has been undertaken. I've never had the car on a track and it has never been raced. The rear tires were replaced about 2,000 miles ago and are virtually new. The matched front tires have nearly as much tread and were present on the car when I purchased it. The car sold new for $63,215 (I have the original window sticker). All manuals, both keys/fobs, and all service records during my ownership are also in my possession. The specific features are these:

Porsche names new motorsport chief
Fri, 11 Jul 2014Though it may have expanded into crossovers and sedans, Porsche is still a company with racing at its heart. You might even argue that Cayenne and Panamera sales only serve to fund the company's motorsports activities. Competition-spec 911 coupes still make up a large portion of the grid in any GT racing series, and those activities are presided over by the Porsche GT division (separate from its LMP1 program), which has just announced a changing of the guard.
Porsche's GT unit - which is responsible both for racing models like the 911 RSR and road-going models like the 911 GT3 - has until now been steered by Hartmut Kristen (pictured above, left) in his capacity as Vice President of Motorsport at Porsche AG. During his ten-year tenure, Kristen gave birth to the RS Spyder that competed in the American Le Mans Series and the pioneering 911 GT3 R Hybrid. He also fostered what Porsche characterizes as "arguably the most comprehensive youth development program in motor racing" and saw the marque return to Le Mans last year with a dominant 1-2 class victory.
Kristen, now 59 years old, is leaving the German automaker, but will remain an advisor to the company's R&D department. Taking over as VP of Motorsport will be Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, who has until now been head of the 918 Spyder project (a responsibility he will continue). Walliser (pictured above, right) was previously Porsche's general manager for motorsport strategies and will now be responsible for Porsche's GT projects on and off the track, while Fritz Enzinger continues at the helm of the LMP1 program in pursuit of better results next year than the 919 Hybrid achieved at Le Mans last month.
2015 Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series is a seriously quick way to spend $260k
Wed, 19 Nov 2014Porsche is usually associated with being a sports car brand, but with vehicles like the Cayenne and Panamera it takes a step into the world of luxury against firmly established players like Mercedes-Benz. One way for the company to poke its head above the high-class fray is by taking things further, and in the case of the Panamera Exclusive Series at the Los Angeles Auto Show, it means pushing grandeur to extreme levels.
Coming in at an absolutely eye-watering $263,900, plus $995 destination, the Panamera Exclusive starts its life as the already sumptuous Panamera Turbo S Executive with a 4.8-liter, twin-turbo V8 making 570 horsepower on an extended wheelbase. To help justify the extra $63,000 for the Exclusive, though, the model gets 20-inch black Sport Classic wheels and an interior in swaddled in Nappa leather with dark walnut and piano black trim. Rear passengers also get 10.1-inch touchscreens mounted on the back of the front seats. A set of fitted Poltrana Frau leather luggage is included with each one, as well.
The luxurious sedan earns it Exclusive moniker because just 100 of them are being made worldwide. Scroll down to read about Porsche's ultimate limousine.
Robb Report chooses Porsche 911 as its Car of the Year
Thu, 21 Feb 2013Robb Report has picked the seventh-generation Porsche 911 Carrera S as its 2013 Car of the Year, saying the two-door captivated its judges with "agility, driving dynamics and balance." The German coupe bested 12 others who were also in the running - the impressive list of nominees included the BMW M5, Audi S8, Ferrari FF, Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG and the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse.
Judging involved more than just throwing darts at pictures on the wall, as the publication enlisted a panel of automotive experts to test drive each vehicle for close evaluation. The panelists included 100 members of the Robb Report Club (comprised of top corporate executives and influential readers), Editor-in-Chief Brett Anderson and automotive consultant Robert Ross. Full results of the competition will be revealed in the luxury magazine's March issue, hitting newsstands in about a week. For more information, visit Robb Report online or check out the full press release from Porsche below.
