2002 Porsche Boxster Roadster Convertible 2-door 2.7l Manual Transmission Green on 2040-cars
Malibu, California, United States
2002 Porsche Boxster Roadster Convertible 2-Door 2.7L with Manual Transmission and CLEAR Title
In good condition with a few mechanical problems. The drivers window needs a pulley replaced as the existing one is about to go out. Also, the fuel intake valve needs to be fixed and the car can only take in fuel in very small increments at a time, so it just takes a while to fill the tank at the station. Runs smoothly though and has just had a new clutch and fly wheel put on. Also, the convertible roof works great. Just replaced the Fuel Sending Unit and put all new belts on in the engine. The leather seats are in fair condition but have a few cracks in them. VIN #: WP0CA29882U624865 5-Speed Manual Transmission. Rear Wheel Drive. Mileage: 86,900 Anti Lock Brakes. Cruise Control. Power Windows. Remote Keyless Entry. Front and aside airbags for both Driver and Passenger. Has 6 Disc CD changer and great stereo. Custom color in British Racing Green. Locking center console. This is a mid engine car so there is tons of trunk space. Under the hood of the car is the front trunk and the second one is in back of the car. This car is wonderful, I just need something with more than two seats! |

Take a POV hot lap in the Porsche 918 Spyder
Mon, 14 Apr 2014That title about says it all. This is a hot lap of the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX, with Porsche Works Driver Patrick Long at the wheel of a Porsche 918 Spyder. The camera is basically showing us everything that Long sees, making this not just one of the coolest 918 videos we've seen, but also one of the neatest laps of CoTA.
As Long peers through the bends, so will you. You'll see him fight the wheel, and find out just how difficult it is to hustle this hybrid hypercar around a world-class track at speed. It's pretty darn entertaining. There are also a few scattered shots of the 918's exterior just to break up the interior awesomeness, although we aren't exactly complaining about those. Take a look below for the short video from Porsche.
On Broughams and Alfas | Autoblog Podcast #501
Fri, Jan 27 2017On this week's podcast, Mike Austin and David Gluckman discuss the odd history of the oft-recycled Brougham name. (Did you know some people pronounce it "broom" and they're not wrong?) There is of course discussion of what they've been driving lately, and things wrap up with Spend My (Your) Money buying advice to help you, our dear listeners. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too. Autoblog Podcast #501 The video meant to be presented here is no longer available. Sorry for the inconvenience. Jack Olsen built one Porsche to do it all
Wed, 23 Jan 2013Jack Olsen has built himself a lair called the 12-Gauge Garage, and inside that garage he built a lairy Porsche 911 nicknamed Black Beauty II. Although it looks like one of Stuttgart's models from the sixties or seventies, it is actually four decades of 911 gubbins from 1965 to 2000 thrown under one shell: the lightweight body is from 1972, the transaxle from 1977, the brakes from a 1986 Turbo, the engine from 1995, for example. It weighs 2,400 pounds and it's got 272 horsepower to get it going, but it's still a pure Porsche, Olsen saying, "If you stop thinking about what you're doing, it will remind you in very abrupt ways."
Olsen said the real point has been to have one car that does it all, so he does everything in his 911 from neighborhood runs to 7-11 to track racing - he loads the aero bits in the car and bolts them on trackside. And he says he'll never stop tweaking the suspension.
You can watch and hear the rest in Olsen's words in the video below.
