This 2001 Porsche Boxster S is in very good condition with less than 44000 original miles. The car runs excellent with no known mechanical problems. It is a very sharp car and fun to drive. I have owned the vehicle for about two years and it has been garage kept during that time. I will also include a car cover with the purchase of the vehicle. I am selling because I just don't get a chance to drive it that much so it has mostly been sitting in the garage. I have put about 1000 miles on it the two years I have owned it. I have noticed a few very small chips in the paint but I would not consider them significant. Also, there is a loan on the vehicle through Navy Federal CU and the proceeds from the sale will payoff the loan but the title may take a week or two to get in the buyers hands.

Motor Trend holds World's Greatest Drag Race for the third time
Fri, 23 Aug 2013As part of Motor Trend's Best Driver's Car competition, the buff book has held its third iteration of the World's Greatest Drag Race. With an airfield and a dozen of the world's finest performance cars at its disposal (oh, and a helicopter), the MT team did what any good group of enthusiasts would do, and tried to figure what car could cover a quarter mile the quickest. World's greatest drag race, indeed.
The contestants, as MT points out, cover a huge variety of engine types, drivelines, aspiration types and body styles, making for a genuinely varied and interesting field of competitors. Here's the full list of cars taking part.

Fri, 12 Apr 2013"We thought we were going to build a super-911," said Peter Schutz, former CEO of Porsche AG of the development of the Porsche 959. That was before it started getting expensive. At that point, Helmuth Bott, Porsche R&D director got frightened. Costs ballooned because of the all-wheel drive, sequential turbocharging and other technology Porsche had never even thought about when it set out to build a 911 to compete in Group B. Schutz continued, "The amount of resources we were committing got totally out of hand." Instead of pulling the plug, Bott doubled down and drew on the strength of his brilliant team to build a car whose impact is still echoing aross the industry.
"It's probably one of our most prized possessions" says Don Leatherwood, Director of the Brumos collection where Dr. Bott's personal prototype resides, and where Frazer Spowart went to see the car and create a video for eGarage.
