1999 Porsche Boxster 986 Parts, Track or Project Car
***Details:***
- Boxster was imported to Canada in 2006
- I have owned the car for about a year
- The RIV (import doc) had expired since the car was not changed to ON Title for Canada
***About the car:***
- The following parts are missing from the car; Hood, Front Bumper Cover, Taillights, Climate Control Unit, Exhaust, Top Cover, and Seats
- There maybe some small pieces that I have missed
- I have not heard the car run, but I did have it turn over this past fall
***What comes with the car?***
A) Complete rolling chassis; shell, doors, all glass, top (need rear window but is in really good shape - black), all air bags, head lights, door mirrors, door panels, sun visors, carpet, engine cover, engine 2.5L, Automatic Transmission, Wheels (rollers), brakes (missing one caliper), suspension, fuel tank, steering wheel, computers, key (immobilizer etc.), front bumper support, both rads, side marker lights, side vents, rear trunk lid, and complete rear bumper.
There is a lot to work with here. My "buy it now" price would not come close to covering what these parts would sell for separately. This is a good deal.
The car will need to be towed. I am close to major highway (401)
The last picture is what the car looked like prior to me removing parts.
***Please be sure to ask any questions prior to bidding***
Do not bid with zero feedback.
***LOCAL PICKUP***
Thanks and Merry Christmas!!!

Porsche 918 Spyder configurator goes live
Fri, 13 Sep 2013That didn't take long. The debut model of the new Porsche 918 Spyder is still thronged by onlookers at the Frankfurt Motor Show, while the German sports car maker is hard at work putting the first version of the supercar's configuration page online. Considering Porsche configurators are some of our favorite time-wasters of the genre, we expect car-guy productivity to drop by a few percentage points over the rest of the day.
So, the 918 dream-maker doesn't list and prices as yet, and that's too bad. But considering the car is due to start off at $845,000 in the US, chances are good that unless you're reading this from the shallow end of your Uncle Scrooge-spec money pool, the cost of any part of the 918 is academic to you anyway.
To start, Porsche is offering twelve paint colors, three wheel choices and seven two-tone interior treatments. Standard lightweight bucket seats and a set of chairs with "firmer padding" are on offer, too. The options list is mostly populated with interior bits, though many - an anti-reflection interior, fire extinguisher, six-point seatbelts - are racing-oriented or functional. Note that Porsche is also kind enough to offer just one cupholder as an optional extra; the unit is made of aluminum and is detachable so that you won't have to carry the extra weight during racing. Also, Porsche probably puts you on some kind of naughty 'list' if you order one...
Porsche 918 Spyder roars electric through London
Sun, Jun 29 2014The Porsche 918 Spyder can be an object of lust for anyone who appreciates the finer things in the automotive world, but for us greenies with penchant for speed, the car is an icon. This gorgeous, all-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid offers 887 horsepower and 940 pound-feet of torque, can do 0-60 in just 2.5 seconds and is capable of 214 miles per hour. It lapped the Nurburgring in a record 6:57. Still, it is capable of near-silent, relaxed cruising through one of Europe's busiest cities. In a new video from Porsche, chief driving instructor Gordon Robertson takes the 918 to London and does just that. While driving in E-Power mode, he describes some of the things that make the car special, as well as how the technology has developed through the 911 GT3 R Hybrid and the 919 LMP1 car to eventually be passed onto the Panamera S E-Hybrid. If you're interested, you can learn more about the car in our own drive review, here. It's great to see, for the first time, the 918 Spyder driving alongside London's black cabs and double-decker buses. The rubbernecking from pedestrians is noticeable and completely understandable. I'm sure we'd all love to see this car come silently sneaking down our own city streets, but until Porsche makes that happen, you'll just have to enjoy the video below. Watch Finnish hoons drift a Porsche, a motorcycle and a snowmobile on ice
Tue, Feb 10 2015We're figure the guys in Finland's Stunt Freaks Team see this video as three minutes of freewheeling snow drifting with a Triumph Daytona motorcycle on snow tires, a Porsche 911 GT3 rally car and a Polaris RMK snowmobile. We, however, like to think of it as a mini-documentary on the winter habits of bipedal Finnish mammals, who display a curious set of winter habits that fascinate us no matter how many times we see them. Admittedly, if we lived conveniently close to Rovaniemi, set smack-dab on the border of the Arctic Circle in Finland's Lapland, we'd do the same thing. The title says it all, save for there also being a side-by-side that was probably the camera car. It's missing the huge roostertails, but it's got a crash and a wheelie to make up for it.
