is an outstanding '98 Boxster. Looks
great---no major scratches, dents or dings.
Leather seats show normal wear.
Carpet is Very Good. Top has only
minor wear--clear panel is good.
Headlight lenses are clear, as are tail light lenses. Goodyear Eagle tires have less than 5K miles
and are virtually new. Struts and
starter have less than 2k miles. Engine
is Excellent--does not burn oil. VERY
responsive.
Car
feels great to drive and is a real head-turner.
Great chance to enjoy a Porsche without breaking the bank. I have put 30K on the car and have never felt
like I had to "baby" it. Nor
have I had to spend a lot on it---just routine maintenance and new struts and
tires. Car has just passed Virginia
Emissions and Safety inspections. You

Meet the main man behind the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3
Fri, 30 Aug 2013We have yet to catch our breath from our first drive of the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3, but if you're still not sold on the fact that this track-ready 911 is only offered with a PDK transmission, then you should take it up with Andreas Preuninger. Preuninger is the guy who led the team responsible for the latest GT3. Porsche has released a video giving a little backstory of what went into the development of the car, which had as its goal the creation of a pure, rewarding 911 driving experience.
The video captures the sights and sounds of the GT3 perfectly. Perhaps the best part is listening to Preuninger describe one of the defining moments that resulted in replacing the GT3's manual gearbox with the PDK. Porsche 918 Spyder already almost sold out?
Mon, 20 Oct 2014Still planning on getting your hands on a Porsche 918 Spyder? You'd better act quickly, because word has it that the hybrid hypercar is nearly sold out.
While Porsche has reportedly only delivered a little over 30 of the 918 examples of the Spyder it plans to manufacture in total, Automotive News says that production is sold out through late March or early April - just a few months shy of when production is set to wrap in July.
That's pretty impressive for a car with a base price of almost $850,000, especially one requiring a $200,000 deposit just to get your name on the list. Still, that sum is significantly less than its competitors get for the McLaren P1 or LaFerrari, both of which sell for over a million (if you can actually get on one at that price), though in fairness, production of each is limited to less than half of the 918 Spyder.
Top Gear drag races VW Golf R against McLaren 675LT and Porsche 911
Thu, Apr 7 2016Top Gear's latest quarter-mile drag race in the collects three very different performance vehicles: the 296-horsepower Volkswagen Golf R, 424-hp Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, and 666-hp McLaren 675LT. While each of these cars sit near the top of their segment, they each come from totally different rungs of the sports car price ladder. Spoiler alert, the Golf R doesn't win. But the final results illustrate the diminishing returns of price and performance. For example, the McLaren is only about a second quicker than the Porsche to 60 miles per hour, but the 675LT costs over 2.5 times more that the GTS. Related Video:
