I bought this car, 2 ,yrs. ago, and intended  a total restroration on it,,I had all belts, front seals, water pump, and clutch, attended to. tensioners, cam cover, and all the details,,,were attended to.

I put white face gauges, blue LED lights, and Polk audio..marine speakers..installed, a used top...( not pretty, but doesn't leak )....I then decided to paint some custom stripes....Irisblau, with amethyst pearl borders At the time of the stripes...the hood, rear cover, and quarter tops, were refinished.a B&B stainless exhaust was installed, and the brake shoes, and rotors were replaced, and turned..   the entire clutch, and brake system was bled...,the top surfaces were painted, the door handle gaskets, and both grills were replaced,.A set of LLoyds mats, aluminium pedals etc... I put a R 134 compressor, and seals on the car, and went no further...I had a career ending injury, and this wonderful project, came to a halt, 13 mo's ago.....and now we are here...

And now the bad...she has a few small dings, and a slight ding, at the top rear of the left door, , the 2 stage clutch, is stout to push...perhaps a bit much for the car...and I burned through the clear in a couple spots...trying to buff the ./..scuffed sides....I am very good at ,custom paint, as the picture shows...the Pres, of PCNA, said at Daytona, last year ...that the stripes, were the most stunning, he had  seen....,for what that is worth...,I have all the pieces to finish her....Aircraft aluminium camber plates, new clips, and gaskets, for the side skirts,..a new drier for the AC conversion, Oil filters, new motor mounts, and a box of little goodies...nuts, bolts, mounts...etc...for an owner who wants to keep her...as a final note...I will answer all questions, quickly, and courteously...remember...she is not perfect, the interior is good....IE, no dash cracks etc..but she is not done....Mechanically, solid as hell...SHE needs finished,,,don't buy her if you want a concourse car...buy her, if you want a damb dependable Porsche...Please remember..a few hours of paint, work, on each side, and a top, is all I would say this car needs.cosmetically, and the drier, and charge, on the ac.

One item, I had forgotten. The car was tow dollied backwards from Pa to Florida several monthes ago, and rather ruined the front tires...I don't drive her, so never replaced them..I also zeroed the odometer yesterday, and it stopped...I'll try to check it out today...hopefully I can get it squared..One item, I had forgotten. The car was tow dollied backwards from Pa to Florida, and rather ruined the front tires...I don't drive her, so never replaced them..I also zeroed the odometer yesterday, and it stopped...I'll try to check it out toda

Gathered all the spare's and goodies today...lots of new stuff, and some used goodies also....will place all in the trunk....found the stripe paint, also, Ill send it along to the buyer...If wanted I found all the original speakers in the store room...I would bet, any one who hears the quality of the polks...will leave them in...but Ill send them anyway.

I also have a fair amount of service history receipts, and will place them, with the owners manual, for your records..Timing belts, rollers, tensioners, water pump, etc, etc....I can be reached at 321/261/9631....

1949 Gm?nd Porsche shows the birth of an icon

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

The Austrian village of Gmünd is more than just difficult to pronounce; it's also the birthplace of the Porsche brand. Before the company ever started building sports cars at its current home base near Stuttgart, the fledgling business completed several vehicles in the tiny town in Southern Austria. In this video, former Pikes Peak International Hill Climb champion Jeff Zwart takes a look at a 1949 Gmünd coupe to see how the company has evolved since its earliest days.
The thing to note about the Gmünd-built Porsches is their absolute design simplicity. The phrase "form follows function" gets bandied around a lot, but it really means something when you look at these early cars. However, the minimalism was partially out of necessity. The vehicles were meant to be sporty but certainly weren't rockets. Power came courtesy of a modified Volkswagen Beetle engine, and anything extraneous would have slowed the models down. Scroll down to watch Zwart go back in time to Porsche's beginnings.

Porsche's latest Driver's Selection keeps enthusiasts happy at home

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

Porsche fans - and there are certainly plenty of them out there, even in here on the Autoblog editorial staff - can be pretty emphatic about their enthusiasm, insisting that the 911 is the very definition of the sportscar. And for some, merely admiring one from afar or even leaving theirs parked outside isn't enough. For just such enthusiats, Porsche Design has expanded its Driver's Selection with some tantalizing additions for the home and office.
First up is a desk chair made from the bucket seat in a 911 Carrera, which we have to admit we'd rather be sitting in right now over this blasted, rather unexciting ergonomic office chair. It's covered in black leather (the same you'd find inside an actual 911) embossed with the Porsche emblem and features electronic backrest adjustment.
There's also a wall shelf made from the carbon-fiber rear spoiler a 911 GT3 Cup racecar that can support up to 264 pounds of downforce in the form of books, trinkets and whathaveyou. And there's a limited-edition resin model of the 918 Spyder in 1:8 scale. The items haven't hit the Porsche shop just yet, so we don't have pricing information, but if they tickle your fancy, the online store has plenty more to offer.

2012 TechArt Porsche 911 is visually dazzling, both inside and out

Wed, 07 Mar 2012

One way to ensure that your brand-new Porsche 911 (a.k.a. 991) won't look like the one in your neighbor's driveway is to give TechArt a call. The famed German tuner has rolled out its version of the latest Carrera and Carrera S at the Geneva Motor Show and trust us, it won't be mistaken for anything from the factory in Stuttgart.
Up front, TechArt has fitted its own unique two-part spoiler with integrated splitter while more aggressive side skirts adorn the rocker panels. The rear has a new lower diffuser, wrapped around the TechArt exhaust, and a large fixed rear wing (complete with an integrated third brake light). Look more closely to notice the subtle trim panels on the exterior mirrors and front headlights. The wheels are lightweight forged 20- and 21-inch alloys with matching paint on their rims.
Inside the heavily modified cabin are even more drastic enhancements (let's say TechArt has gone over the top). Don't let the aluminum pedals be a distraction as you inspect the black Alcantara and high-grade leather covering nearly every square inch. Flirting with gaudy, the dark upholstery is contrasted by vehicle-color-coordinated stitching and painted trim splashed throughout. However, the icing on the cake is an insanely thick TechArt three-spoke sports steering wheel.
