Porsche 944 Base Coupe 2-door on 2040-cars
Mont Alto, Pennsylvania, United States
1988 Porsche 944! The car is in amazing condition with only 74,226 original miles on the body and engine! The car came from a local Philadelphia home, and was passed down into a family who babied the car! I am the fourth owner of the car, and my grandmother bought it original in 1988, then it was passed down, but the car stayed in the family. The body and engine are very solid and even after the car sat for about 3 weeks (as I did not have time to drive it) It started Right up! THE ENGINEvery strong, POWERFUL solid soundingno ticking or rattlingAll of the fluids have been Changed, including oil, transmission fluid and plugs have been cleaned. THE BODY the body is almost perfect. the car has almost no scratches on it, Except for the front passenger side fender (it looks like someone took a key to it)the car has been repainted the beautiful fire red. The moldings and trim are still in great shape with no leaks! NO RUST! BRAND NEW TIRES! Windows and power features still work, including sunroof and both windowsseats and interior is like new!! not a tear or rip in the seats! just a little driver wear. carpeting is immaculate! The dash does not have one crack or sun split on it, the passenger side molding piece is loose but nothing major (see pics) The hood release pull is hanging so that will need to be fixed but it does not affect the hood opening. i also have the original car cover! This beautiful Porsche runs and drives amazing and is in superb condition with Super low miles!

2015 Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series is a seriously quick way to spend $260k
Wed, 19 Nov 2014Porsche is usually associated with being a sports car brand, but with vehicles like the Cayenne and Panamera it takes a step into the world of luxury against firmly established players like Mercedes-Benz. One way for the company to poke its head above the high-class fray is by taking things further, and in the case of the Panamera Exclusive Series at the Los Angeles Auto Show, it means pushing grandeur to extreme levels.
Coming in at an absolutely eye-watering $263,900, plus $995 destination, the Panamera Exclusive starts its life as the already sumptuous Panamera Turbo S Executive with a 4.8-liter, twin-turbo V8 making 570 horsepower on an extended wheelbase. To help justify the extra $63,000 for the Exclusive, though, the model gets 20-inch black Sport Classic wheels and an interior in swaddled in Nappa leather with dark walnut and piano black trim. Rear passengers also get 10.1-inch touchscreens mounted on the back of the front seats. A set of fitted Poltrana Frau leather luggage is included with each one, as well.
The luxurious sedan earns it Exclusive moniker because just 100 of them are being made worldwide. Scroll down to read about Porsche's ultimate limousine.
Porsche's latest Driver's Selection keeps enthusiasts happy at home
Wed, 25 Sep 2013Porsche fans - and there are certainly plenty of them out there, even in here on the Autoblog editorial staff - can be pretty emphatic about their enthusiasm, insisting that the 911 is the very definition of the sportscar. And for some, merely admiring one from afar or even leaving theirs parked outside isn't enough. For just such enthusiats, Porsche Design has expanded its Driver's Selection with some tantalizing additions for the home and office.
First up is a desk chair made from the bucket seat in a 911 Carrera, which we have to admit we'd rather be sitting in right now over this blasted, rather unexciting ergonomic office chair. It's covered in black leather (the same you'd find inside an actual 911) embossed with the Porsche emblem and features electronic backrest adjustment.
There's also a wall shelf made from the carbon-fiber rear spoiler a 911 GT3 Cup racecar that can support up to 264 pounds of downforce in the form of books, trinkets and whathaveyou. And there's a limited-edition resin model of the 918 Spyder in 1:8 scale. The items haven't hit the Porsche shop just yet, so we don't have pricing information, but if they tickle your fancy, the online store has plenty more to offer.
Porsche Supercup racer dies in crash in Australia
Tue, 15 Oct 2013Even with great strides made towards increasing the safety of motor racing, fundamentally it's still a dangerous sport. And now it has claimed another life.
That life belonged to one Sean Edwards, an accomplished GT racing driver. Edwards was killed at Queensland Raceway in Australia, riding shotgun in a Porsche 996 GT3 while acting as instructor. The driver was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries. Sean Edwards was 26.
The son of former F1 driver Guy Edwards (whose car he drove in the filming of Rush), Sean won the European GT3 Championship in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and drove a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 to repeat victories at the 24 Hours of Dubai as well as this year's Nürburgring 24 Hours. Edwards had been competing in the Porsche Supercup, whose standings he currently leads with just two rounds to go, and could be crowned champion posthumously.
