Up for auction is this beautiful 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet with only 41,976 Original Miles.  Alpine White with Dark Blue Leather interior and Dark Blue top.  Five speed with 3.0L 16 valve engine.

I purchased this car 8 years ago from my mother who received it as a 50th birthday gift from my Dad in 2002.  So it has been in the family for the last 12 years.  In that time, it has never seen rain or snow and has been stored in a heated building.

Instead of listing all the options, I've included a picture of the original window sticker.  This car listed for $51325 back in 1990 and came from Bill Cook Porsche in Farmington Hills, MI.

The car runs and drives great. I had standard service done, including retentioning of the timing belt at 30k and at that time I also had the A/C converted by the Porsche dealer over to 134A refrigerant. I also had the rear window replaced so it is crystal clear and at the same time had a small tear on the top repaired.  The top works well and the blue boot is in good condition.  The interior is in very good condition with only minor wear showing on the drivers seat side panel.  The wheels have the painted crest center caps which adds a nice touch; the original unpainted caps go with the car.  The factory spare, air compressor, tool-kit, gloves, and tire bag are still in the trunk. The car is offered as is with no warranty.

If you have any questions at all, just send me a note and I will get back to you quickly.

Buyer is responsible for shipping or local pickup.

A $1000 deposit on paypal is required within 48hrs of the winning bid; balance due upon pickup.  Car will not be released unless funds are within hand.

This is why we love the Porsche 911 reimagined by Singer

Tue, 11 Nov 2014

In the world of restomods, Singer Vehicle Designs is inarguably one of our absolute favorites. The company, founded by rocker Rob Dickinson, has made its name as an obsessive constructor of vintage, built-to-order Porsche 911s with modern internals and beautiful accouterments.
Xcar has put together a lengthy interview with Dickinson, covering the source of his fascination with the 911 and his passion for automotive design, before falling into his rock-and-roll days with his band Catherine Wheel. He also covers how he got into the world of modifying Porsches, rather than just restoring them. There's much, much more in the video, though, and we promise, you won't want to miss it.
Take a look.

Ferrari Speciale and Porsche GT3 make the trip to Le Mans

Thu, Aug 6 2015

Call it a pilgrimage. Call it a right of passage. The bottom line is that every racing fan should make the trip to Le Mans at some point. All the better if you can do it in style, as Evo has for this latest video. Instead of taking any old car through the Chunnel and along the French countryside to the famous Circuit de la Sarthe, Evo made the trip in the Ferrari 458 Speciale and Porsche 911 GT3. Both are more extreme versions of the already capable sports cars. They're still naturally aspirated, drive the rear wheels through seven-speed dual-clutch transmissions, and both won top honors in Evo's car of the year awards upon their release. And we could hardly imagine better vehicles for the journey. Along the way, the convoy-of-two stopped by the side of the old Rouen-Les-Essarts circuit. Back in the 1950s and 60s it was regarded as one of Europe's finest street circuits, hosting the French Grand Prix five times. It was closed down and paved over in the decades that followed, and is today part of a public thoroughfare – but you can still drive around it and see some of the relics of its former self peering through. Porsche Cayman GT4 spot has us reaching for our driving gloves

Wed, Feb 4 2015

We've got to hand it to Porsche for finally unleashing the potential of the Cayman, and not worrying about it infringing on 911 territory. The latest Cayman is, by all accounts, a superb sports car in its own right, gets even better as the Cayman S and that much more so in GTS spec. But the new Cayman GT4 takes things to a whole other level with a 3.8-liter flat six driving 385 horsepower to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual. Old school is what it is, and certifiably off the leash. We brought you the full skinny on the new GT4 late last night when it surfaced, but now Porsche has released a video clip highlighting what makes its new pocket rocket look so great. It's got Nurburgring graffiti, intimidated neighbors, barking fluffy dogs, gape-jawed children, and of course footage of the Cayman GT4 itself doing what it was designed to do. All we need now is to get our driving gloves on its Alcantara steering wheel and ball-shaped shifter.
