1989 Porsche 944s2 on 2040-cars
Jamestown, New York, United States
1989 PORSCHE 944S2. This may be one of the nicest S2s on the market. I'm the second owner and have owned the car for over 21 years. Car is definitely pampered and has only been driven about 4800 miles in the time I've owned it. Car has seen no rain and never driven at night ( bugs/moisture). Hard to believe but car has seen very little sunlight, driven around the block regularly to keep everything in working order. It has only set in the sun while at car shows, which it has been entered only 3 times. the results where 2 first place and 1 second place. Only entered shows at request of young daughter, see got a kick out of it. Vehicle is stored in a climate controlled garage with cover. Oil changed regularly with red line synthetic. I perform my own maintenance so car has never been on a lift since I've owned it. no need to. Original books and window sticker. Original right down to the tires and brakes. I think the pictures speak for themselves, The car is in excellent condition, Interior shows like new, only thing missing are front mats. Mats started to seperate and where tossed. Mechanicaly she runs and drives perfect. There is a slight heat shield noise right at 3000 rpm, been there since new. Dealer service records show this, never really bothered me because it was so infrequent. Exterior of car shows great NO scrathes, dings or dents. There are some stone chips on front of car, the worst being below right side driving light (can be seen in pictures).Underside of car is as clean as top.If your looking to purchase one of these cars, then you probaly know all about them. Come inspect this one and you will buy it! If you have questions I'll welcome your request. Lets be professional about this and not waste each others time if your not serious or don't have the funds. |

Evo makes the case for the world's best driving road in Majorca
Tue, 05 Aug 2014What good is a sports car if you haven't got a great place to drive it? It's a common refrain that we've heard time and time again. But few are as familiar with the problem as they are in the UK, where the number of people, cars on the road and traffic cameras keep growing to conspire against the joy of driving. Leave it to Evo, then, to depart in search of the greatest driving road in the world.
It's a pursuit that's taken the British car mag across Europe, most recently to Romania's Carpathian Mountains where it added the Transalpina Pass to its short list. But its latest journey has taken Evo to the Spanish island of Majorca, where Henry Catchpole found not one, but two spectacular driving roads from behind the wheel of the new Porsche Boxster GTS. We could drone on about the smooth, empty ribbons of twisting tarmac with excellent visibility and panoramic vistas... but you really want to see the video for yourself. Don't miss Evo's previous trip to Romania in the Jaguar F-Type, which we've included below, as well.
1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS takes center stage with Petrolicious
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Today, one of the most exciting track toys available is the Porsche 911 GT3. Its forbearer, though, was an altogether different beast that was every bit as exciting. Yes, we're talking about the old 911 Carrera RS that blessed the early 1970s. With a mere 1,580 cars built, meant specifically to satisfy the FIA's homologation requirements, the RS is one rare pre-Malaise era cars.
Complete with a 2.7-liter flat-six engine, this RS of Mark Haddawy is one of the earlier examples of the breed (later cars received a larger, 3.0-liter engine). Still, it can scamper to 60 miles per hour in a very respectable 5.6 seconds and will happily hit 150 mph in a straight line. Sporting Porsche's iconic duckbill rear spoiler, the equally iconic Fuchs wheels, as well as slew of options, as Haddawy points out, each of the nearly 1,600 RS models is its own unique iteration on the Porsche performance formula.
Take a look below for the latest video from the crew at Petrolicious.
This is why we love the Porsche 911 reimagined by Singer
Tue, 11 Nov 2014In the world of restomods, Singer Vehicle Designs is inarguably one of our absolute favorites. The company, founded by rocker Rob Dickinson, has made its name as an obsessive constructor of vintage, built-to-order Porsche 911s with modern internals and beautiful accouterments.
Xcar has put together a lengthy interview with Dickinson, covering the source of his fascination with the 911 and his passion for automotive design, before falling into his rock-and-roll days with his band Catherine Wheel. He also covers how he got into the world of modifying Porsches, rather than just restoring them. There's much, much more in the video, though, and we promise, you won't want to miss it.
Take a look.
