I purchased this S2 from the 3rd owner to make my 220 total mile daily commute back-and-forth to work while I complete an S2 conversion on my other 944.  I have found this Porsche to be a nice driver and a real surprise... super strong running with long time ownership history, clean Carfax, and tons of service history records and original books. Many nice mods: B&B cat back exhaust, large throttle body, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Weltmeister chip, cross drilled rotors, lowered suspension with 17" Cup wheels with newer Kumo tires. Factory limited slip and well optioned. The photos will show two minor dings/dents and a few other exterior and interior flaws, but I will be including a crack free air bag style replacement dash along with a mint OEM leather Porsche 944 air bag steering wheel for the new owner to install or sell off. With the limited slip, this 944 is equipped for street or DE.

Please email for phone me at 386.690.421five with any questions or to set up a time to view and/or inspect.... Have this done prior to the end of the auction cause if you're the winning bidder, you're buying it 'As Is'.  No warranty, expressed or implied.  A $1,000.00 partial payment is due within 24 hours of the auction ending and the balance is due via cash/cash equivalent within 5 working days.  Shipping is no problem, but the buyer is responsible for making arrangements and all costs.  Located in New Smyrna Beach, FL. No trades.  No 'Zero' (0) bidders.  Cool Porsche for not a lot of dough (read "low reserve").

Malaise Era All-Stars

Fri, 17 May 2013

A few weeks ago, we bid a fond happy 40th anniversary to the automotive dark ages of 1973-84 that have come to be known as "The Malaise Era" - the performance ice-age when 160 horsepower was a lot and a 0-60 time of under 10 seconds was remarkable. Like music in the 1980s, everything in automobiledom didn't suck, however. There were a few bright spots. Here are five of our favorites:

Watch this Koenigsegg CCX hit 211 mph on a runway, outpacing McLaren's P1

Tue, 03 Jun 2014

Vmax200 in in England organizes events where those who care to show up with a supercar can run them down the two-mile runway at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground. Evo attended the latest event, bringing an impressively green Lamborghini Aventador to test its girth and gaping vents against other precious metals like the McLaren P1 and F1, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and Enzo, a Porsche Carrera GT and enough 911 Turbos to start a dealership. Speaking of those Porsches, nine of the top ten slots in the top speed competition are claimed by modified 911 Turbos.
A monochrome Swede ruled them all, though, a black-and-white Koenigsegg CCX setting fire to the speed trap run after run, hitting 211 miles per hour at its quickest. It was followed by, surprise, a 911 GT2 modified by 9E that did 210 mph. You can watch the EVO video below, GT Spirit has a bigger breakdown of the day, and we've included another vid showing the tandem launch of the CCX and McLaren F1.

Porsche goes karting in its Cayman GTS

Sun, 03 Aug 2014

Think Mini is the king of Go-Kart Handling[TM]? Well, you might be mistaken, as Porsche proves here it's fully capable of delivering a driving experience that'd fit in quite nicely on a go-kart track.
Using a new and very red Cayman GTS, the Stuttgart-based manufacturer invades a kart track in northern Italy and sets the mid-engined sports car loose to slip, slide and zip its way around the circuit. As far as videos for Sunday evening go, this one ticks all the boxes.
Take a look.
