I recently added four pics. Would like to take more to show the quality but, unable to do so. The carpeting is new. The spare has never been touched, as well as the compressor that came w/ the car. On one side of hatch floor is leather cover for sunroof. On other side is compressor and emergency road kit.And under center of hatch flooring is inflatable spare. I have the original rims w/  descent tires on them. Also the rims and tires on the car come w/ veh. from a later model 944. I have the original stereo/cass. player that matches the center console tape holder. Stereo in car now may be sold w/ car as well as upgraded original porsche aplifier and cd player. Should pass inspection in any state. New batt. and brake pads ( normal maint. Has been performed) Have not changed oil past six months but have two filters going w/ car. No changes under hood . All maintained original. ( S-Model has plenty of horse to gear ratio) You must see. Items like the pumps for hood and hatch need replaced. Recently cracked windshield, accidently (will need for insp. unless tagging historic) Small things that for a couple of hundred bucks , you will have a unique, very strong, reliable classy sportster. Price is set to move. Easily worth 7-8 k . I f I didnt need money , I would not sell for less than ten. I f your lookin , you really want to see this one. Porsche tuners 9ff, SpeedArt going bankrupt

Thu, 19 Sep 2013

Times are tough in Europe right now, and that unfortunately has reaped disastrous consequences for some of its smallest niche automakers. Gumpert, Wiesmann, Artega and Lola have all filed for bankruptcy this year, and it appears that tuners are not immune to the tough times, either.
Word coming in from across the pond suggests that 9ff and SpeedArt - two of the biggest names in Porsche tuning - have filed for bankruptcy as well. 9ff is best known for the GT9, a radical hypercar barely based on the 911, while SpeedArt was once of the foremost tuners of Porsches.
Fortunately there are still plenty of tuners ready to take a wrench to your Elfen, but the reported demise of these two makes the market a little bit smaller and - for Porsche enthusiasts - maybe the world a little bit lonelier, too.

2015 Porsche 918 Spyder: Touring the factory

Wed, Dec 3 2014

Willy Wonka granted just five lucky Golden Ticket holders access to his incredible chocolate factory, yet we consider ourselves just as fortunate, as Porsche invited us to be among the first of just four American journalists to see behind the closed doors of its 918 Spyder assembly plant in Zuffenhausen, Germany. Of course, there were no Oompa Loompas or flowing chocolate rivers, but the vast white hall tasked with producing only 918 examples of the automaker's limited-production flagship revealed details that make Wonka's Golden Egg sorting room seem rather mundane in comparison. Unlike a traditional automobile manufacturing plant, which often encompass all processes of making a vehicle (e.g., stamping steel panels, welding components and painting), the 918 Spyder is built in an assembly plant. This means that hundreds of already manufactured parts, each crafted by Porsche offsite suppliers, are brought under one roof to be assembled into a perfectly finished product that is much sweeter – and far more expensive – than any candy delicacy. Our tour guide was Michael Drolshagen, Porsche's Director of Production, Logistics and Quality - a walking encyclopedia when it comes to the engineering and assembly of the 918 Spyder. Drolshagen generously offered us unrestricted access to walk among the factory's 110 workers – and a couple-dozen vehicles in process – to photograph everything. This is a story best told with pictures, so we've put together a raft of our best images in a high-resolution gallery and captioned each with a detailed description. If you've still got questions, please voice them in Comments section and we'll do our best to answer.

Watch Porsche's 918 Spyder break a sweat while hot weather testing

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

With five months left until the 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder enters production, Porsche engineers are still putting the hybrid sports coupe through a battery of last-minute tests. To give us new reasons to ogle over the car - as if we needed any more - Porsche has released a short video showing the 918 Spyder undergoing shakedown tests in the hot Nevada desert. And you can't drive through Nevada without visiting Vegas, too, right?
Although there's really nothing new to see in this video, it's still fun to watch as Porsche approaches one million test miles logged on this exciting new high-performance model. One interesting part (at around the 0:37 mark) shows the car taking off under electric power and then transitioning to engine power, which results in a mix of whirs and growls as the 918 Spyder switches from a 127-horsepower electric vehicle to an 887-hp hybrid supercar. Scroll down to watch - and hear - Porsche's latest creation in motion.
