I have for sale a 1986 Porsche 944 turbo with LSD. The car recently had replaced the clutch, timing belt, water pump, throw out bearing, brakes, reference & speed sensor and tires in july 2013 about 1000 miles ago. I have the receipts. Besides the venturi delete and power coating of the intake manifold the engine is stock. This car boost perfectly, all the vacuum hoses were changed utilizing the lindsey racing kit with the venturi delete. A/C blows cold. Car idles perfect and doesnt overheat at all. Very fast and handles like a dream. this car has a manual rack n pinion and weltmeister strut tower brace. This car has the koni adjustable suspension on it. Installed also is a 3 inch linsey racing exhaust which gives the car the extra horse power but I still have the stock exhaust available. It has a boost gauge and oil temp gauge on the drivers pillar. I have also if interested a vented nose from lindsey racing and a porsche 968 hatch . Im testing the waters right now not in a rush to sell or desperate. The car also has the coveted 17 inch cup 2 wheels the fit perfect on the car without spacers. I also have two spare rims as well. The car could use a paint job in my opinion it has a couple a blemishes but nothing crazy or can see from a couple feet away. Everything works on the car except the sunroof which doesn't leak. The power hatch release, windows, power drivers seat, radio, lights fog lamps, a/c, blower motor, etc all works. Dash has 2 hair line cracks near the edge on the windshield not noticeable unless you look for it. Leather seats are in good condition but of course driver seat has more wear than the others. Do your research I have all the goodies on this car. If interested give me a call at (516)3221831. Im looking for $8500.

Chris Harris condemns demonization of Porsche Carrera GT in wake of Walker death
Fri, 06 Dec 2013When something bad happens, it's easy to resort to scapegoating. At least for some of us, that seems to be exactly what has happened following the tragic death of actor Paul Walker and racer Roger Rodas, who were killed on November 30 in a Porsche Carrera GT. Even though officials have not yet determined the cause of the crash, that isn't stopping many theories from being put for - theories that include blaming the Porsche supercar. Rather predictably, not only is the CGT's difficult nature getting examined, but indeed, the nature of all high-performance cars is being put under the public's microscope, with some wondering what the need for all the power is.
A Google search of "Porsche Carrera GT" will find no shortage of articles about the razor-sharp handling and outright speed of the CGT. Pistonheads' Chris Harris has a different, insightful take on both the Carrera GT and the nature of all fast cars. He reflects on the matter, ironically, en route to drive the successor to the car that killed Walker and Rodas, the 900-horsepower 918 Spyder hybrid supercar.
We think it's well worth a read, as it makes a number of good points about modern high-performance automobiles and the way they're used. Click over and take a look.
Porsche becomes first company to rent out Vatican's Sistine Chapel
Fri, 17 Oct 2014We wouldn't go so far as to say God is a Porsche fan, but those in charge of one of the holiest Christian spots on our little blue marble are welcoming the German automaker into one of the religion's most revered and beautiful settings - the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City. In so doing, Porsche will reportedly become the first company to rent out the holy hall for a corporate function.
Now, it's not like Pope Francis has signed off on Porsche doing do donuts in a 911 underneath Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam. Instead, the Vatican has rented out the home of the Papal Conclave to the Porsche Travel Club, which will host a classical music concert. The Travel Club organizes events and tours across Europe for Porsche enthusiasts, with the Vatican concert just one part of a tour of Rome.
According to Automotive News Europe, Porsche will sell 40 tickets - at 5,000 euros each ($6,379) - to the event, while the Vatican has confirmed that the Pope will not be in attendance.
Porsche 911 Targa Turbo for Geneva debunked, 919 Hybrid and 911 RSR racers coming instead
Fri, 28 Feb 2014Porsche has proven adept at making sure there is a version of its venerable 911 for practically any wealthy driver's desires. If you just want a great all-rounder then buy a standard 911; open-air driving, then the Cabriolet is for you, and if you need a compromise between them, there is even the new 911 Targa.
Gossip earlier this week surfaced on various websites that at next week's Geneva Motor Show, Porsche had designs on introducing an even higher-performance Targa variant, a Targa Turbo. The rumored mashup would combine the wide body from the 911 Turbo with the super-complicated power roof from the Targa (see right). Assuming no changes in power, that would mean 520 horsepower or even 560 hp in a Targa Turbo S model. Unfortunately, we're hearing that this tasty bit of scuttlebutt is incorrect. Autoblog asked Nick Twork, Porsche North America Product Communications Manager, about the rumor, and his response couldn't have been clearer: "Totally false."
Twork did elaborate that company will be "debuting the Porsche 919 Hybrid, our new LMP1 race car" at the Swiss show, and Stuttgart has also announced this morning that will show its 911 RSR racecar, too - either of which we reckon is a lot more exciting than another Targa variant.
