I have for sale a nice example of a clean 1983 Porsche 944, 5spd, targa top with manual steering. The factory original color is Montego Black Metallic. The car was recently purchased at an Estate sale from the 2nd owner who owned the car from 1988 to 2013. The car was garaged it's entire life. Mileage on the odometer is 24,067 and the title that I currently have is from 1988 reads 3,000 miles. I'm going to assume the car has 124,067 miles on it.

The body is rust free and in very good overall condition, with absolutely no signs of every having any accidents or body damage, other than a few minor dings. There are some chips but it appears to be very original paint and it shines up nice.

I did a basic tune up on the car and the following parts are all brand new.
- ECM
- Fuel Filter
- Coil
- Distributor cap and rotor
- Spark Plugs and Wires

Last week I took the car on a 10 mile test drive, the car runs, shifts and drives well. The brakes work well and the E Brake works perfect too. All of the dash gauges work as they should and there are no hidden issues. Radio, Power antenna, Heat, Electric windows all work with no issues. All of the windows are very nice, no cracks or chips that I've noticed.

What the car could use.
- Right rear tail light lens.
- Hood and rear hatch shocks.
- Passenger Front seat fabric is torn, the driver seat and rear seats are in nice condition.

Car is located in Branchville, NJ. Email me with questions..

Jack Olsen built one Porsche to do it all

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

Jack Olsen has built himself a lair called the 12-Gauge Garage, and inside that garage he built a lairy Porsche 911 nicknamed Black Beauty II. Although it looks like one of Stuttgart's models from the sixties or seventies, it is actually four decades of 911 gubbins from 1965 to 2000 thrown under one shell: the lightweight body is from 1972, the transaxle from 1977, the brakes from a 1986 Turbo, the engine from 1995, for example. It weighs 2,400 pounds and it's got 272 horsepower to get it going, but it's still a pure Porsche, Olsen saying, "If you stop thinking about what you're doing, it will remind you in very abrupt ways."
Olsen said the real point has been to have one car that does it all, so he does everything in his 911 from neighborhood runs to 7-11 to track racing - he loads the aero bits in the car and bolts them on trackside. And he says he'll never stop tweaking the suspension.
You can watch and hear the rest in Olsen's words in the video below.

Touring Italy in a classic Porsche will have you feeling continental

Wed, 13 Nov 2013

It's hard to believe there was a time when a Porsche 911 didn't come to market with 400 horsepower. But as the latest video from Petrolicious reminds us, with this video of a 1968 911T, owned by Donato Maniscalco, that time wasn't so long ago.
You might think, being a distinguished man living in Italy, Maniscalco would be more enthused by a Ferrari, Maserati, or Lamborghini, but in reality, it was always Porsche that enamored the Italian as a boy. And it was that passion that led him to purchase the glorious 911T he's seen tossing about in this video.
Maniscalco goes into detail about what makes the old 911 such a legend, while also mentioning how he and the car participate in classic rallies and races. There's also some typically beautiful footage of the Italian countryside, as well. So take a look below for the latest video from Petrolicious.

Porsche creates 'symphony' with seven generations of 911

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

At Porsche, things are getting a bit wild on the 50th anniversary year of the 911. To celebrate it (again) in yet another inventive way, the automaker has called on the musical talents of seven generations of the rear-engine sports car (please suspend your disbelief, at least for the length of the video, and assume that generation two started in 1974) to perform a song that has eight notes. We're wondering which 911 is pulling double duty...
But before the Porsches are lined up for the short recital, the drivers let loose and drift them inside a hangar. Watch the video below, and tell us in comments which was more impressive: the song or the drifting.
