1983 Porsche 944 on 2040-cars
Pasadena, California, United States
1983 Porsche 944 with 153k miles. Bought from original owner, I am the second owner. All service records from day 1 totalling $43,000. All original. Brand new Michelin tires, less than 2000 miles on them. OEM Fuchs wheels (staggered) 15x8 and 15x7. Original tools with pouch. Car runs great. Air condition works great. Interior in great shape. All electrical work fine. Passes smog easily. This is a true survivor. Original working alarm. Always serviced and kept indoors. There is a 4 inch scratch on the roof. Also a poorly bondo work on right rear panel about 10 inches square. It was done in the early 1980s and just left like that. It really isn't all that bad. Please refer to the photos. I have all original paperwork and spare keys that go along with the car. Also included are 2 car covers. There is an one inch crack on the left rear taillight. The car comes with a complete OEM left taillight assembly. It was bought in the early 1980s but never installed. I have a detailed list of every single work performed on the car, including date, price, and notes. The tags are paid until May of 2015. Local pick up only please. I have no information about transportation services.

All the crazy stuff we saw at McCall's Motorworks Revival
Thu, Aug 18 2016Every year, Gordon McCall puts on a lavish event packed with rare cars and planes (and the type of people that can afford rare cars and planes). And every year, more ridiculous stuff shows up. It's the good kind of machine overload. It's likely the only place in the world where you'll see a line of BMW 3.0s next to some Paganis next to a Porsche 911 by Singer Design next to a Ferrari salt racer next to a custom Olds Riviera next to the latest from Koenigsegg next to he coolest stuff Shelby ever made next to a hangar filled with McLarens, including a few P1 GTRs. And then all of that is surrounded by private jets, fighters, and planes that could have flown in directly from WWII. In a word, it's insane. Walk through the gallery above to get a taste for what was there this year for the event's 25th anniversary. Porsche celebrates 5M Facebook fans with crowdsourced one-off 911
Mon, 05 Aug 2013Porsche's Facebook fan base appears to be accelerating as quickly as the cars it builds. The German automaker has just unveiled a special 911 Carrera 4S designed with crowdsourced input as a way to thank its five million Facebook fans.
The 911 features special Aquablaumetallic paint from Porsche Exclusive, contrasting 20-inch white Carrera S wheels and pinstriping, along with an aero package including a fixed rear wing. Inside, there are unique backlit sill plates and the obligatory dashboard engraving that says "Personally Built by 5 Million Porsche Fans."
As a way to turn at least one virtual thumbs up into its more meaningful physical-world equivalent, Porsche is holding a contest to win the chance to drive the car at Britain's Silverstone racetrack - and bring a friend - and nine lucky runners-up will win 1:43-scale models of the 911. If you want to enter the contest, click here.
