1984 Porsche 944 Here is a nice 1 Owner Car that is clean but just needs a little work. Check out my store for more great Unique and Classic Cars. Look at the Autocheck Score. Make sure and check out the Video below. This is a nice, clean car that has a couple issues. It has the 2.5L 4cylinder engine which is a good motor that puts out a good amount of power. However The motor in this car has a rod knocking or a lifter making noise. Check out the video I start it up so you can hear it. The car will move around but the motor is going to need to be fixed or replaced. I do not drive it it was just ran to show you. It has the 5-Speed manual transmission which is what you want in one of these. This car is a 1 Owner Car that has just over 100K Original Miles on it. These cars are a blast to drive. Under the hood and under carriage are clean and dry as can be. Make sure to check the video I do a complete walk around of the car inside and out. Make sure to watch the video I do a complete walk around of this car inside and out. This is a 1 Owner Car The exterior of this car is nice but does have a couple small issues. The paint has a nice shine to it but does have some of the clear coat faded in spots. The body is straight but there is some damage on the rear passenger panel that you can see. This caused the car to have a Salvage Title which is unfortunate but also why so cheap. The car has the very nice "Phone Dial" wheels which are one of my favorite wheels on these cars. It has a nice set of tires that have good tread left on them. Options: 5-Speed Manual Transmission 2.5L 4cyl. Engine Power Windows Power Locks Power Seats Leather Factory A/C Aftermarket Blaupunkt CD Player The interior is nice in this car. It has the tan leather interior that looks great with the black exterior. The front seats are in great condition and just show stress marks from being sat and just a couple spots on drivers seat where it is coming apart at the seams. The passenger seat is dried out and does have some cracking. The back seats don't look like they were hardly sat in. The carpets are in the same great shape and show little wear and only have a couple smaller stains. The car is fully loaded with all the power options. Check out the video I go through and show you everything working or not. This is just a nice 1 Owner Car that when fixed up will be a very nice car. I am selling this car cheap so don't miss out. Yes it has the Obvious problems I show and you hear however what you have here is a Well Maintained 1 owner car that is the Perfect one to fix up Race or ??? Buy a McLaren P1 GTR, Porsche 918 Spyder, and a Ferrari LaFerrari all in one place
Fri, Apr 21 2017The McLaren P1, Porsche 918 Spyder, and Ferrari LaFerrari, are arguably the three greatest hypercars yet. Of course, their extremely limited production meant that some ultra-wealthy individuals may have missed out on picking one up. In fact, to get a LaFerrari, you needed to have owned a certain number of Ferraris, and be in good graces with the company. However, if there are any super-rich car enthusiasts reading this right now, your chance to buy one or all of these three supercars is coming up next month at the RM Sotheby's Villa Erba auction in Italy. It will occur on May 27, and feature a McLaren P1 GTR, Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach, and Ferrari LaFerrari. 2016 McLaren P1 GTR McLaren fans, will RM Sotheby's won't offering just any McLaren P1, but rather the hardcore, track-prepped GTR variant. In fact, the GTR is so hardcore that it isn't legal for the street. This particular version went to specialist Lanzante to be converted for road use. Take note that it's only road legal in the UK, and it may not meet laws for other countries. However, that's still more than most GTRs can boast, and if you have the money for this, you shouldn't have any issue taking it to the UK to unleash the P1 GTR's 986 horsepower on public roads. This car could use some driving, too, as it only has about 223 miles on it, some of which included just one track event. RM Sotheby's expects this McLaren to go for between $3.4 million and $3.85 million. 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach View 31 Photos The Porsche 918 Spyder going up for auction is a special one as well. The first difference you'll notice is that it has been painted a custom color called "Arrow Blue," a hue specially mixed up as part of Porsche's custom paint service. It also features the lightweight Weissach package, which loses a few extra pounds by replacing an assortment of parts for lighter components. Among them are magnesium wheels and wheel bearings, carbon fiber roof, windshield frame, rear fenders, and rear view mirrors, and even titanium-backed brake pads. According to RM Sotheby's those pads have been replaced with fresh 918-spec pieces. The previous owner clearly enjoyed his or her 918, as it has just over 6,800 miles. In case you're interested in a well-loved 918, the auction house expects it to sell for just under $1.3 million to about $1.5 million.
Watch a Cayenne Turbo S, Range Rover SVR, and Cherokee SRT drag race
Thu, Mar 17 2016We live in a weird world where high-performance SUVs could win a 60-mile-per-hour sprint against sports cars from just a few years ago. Here, Top Gear sets up a three-way drag race against the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR, and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, and the results show just how quickly these high-riding models can cross the quarter mile. The Cherokee SRT is the patriotic choice among the three, but it's down on power in this fight. Meanwhile, the Range Rover's menacing growl sounds the best, and the Cayenne Turbo S has the most horsepower. You'll have to watch the video to see which SUV will win this battle. Related Video:
Porsche Macan fails moose test, Stuttgart responds
Tue, 14 Oct 2014Different countries have different safety standards, but most of them revolve around a similar set of tests: front impact, side impact, offset impact, rollover... the usual. But Sweden has its own test. It's called the Moose Test (or the Elk Test), and it's unique to Scandinavia: a car has to be able to avoid a theoretical antlered mammal on the road while traveling at 43.5 miles per hour and return to its previous course without flipping over. The Jeep Grand Cherokee ran afoul of the uniquely Nordic maneuver a couple of years ago, but even more surprising is the way the Porsche Macan has reacted.
Under testing by Sweden's Teknikens Värld, Porsche's downsized crossover - specifically the Macan S Diesel, for what it's worth - didn't flip over, but it skidded off course. In real-world conditions, it follows, the vehicle could run off the road or into oncoming traffic. The testers ran the test several times, and even removed excess weight from the vehicle, and each time it reacted the same way.
In response, Porsche has explained that the behavior is the result of its Active Rollover Protection system kicking in. When the system detects that the vehicle could drastically oversteer, flip over or lose its tire, it momentarily applies the brake on the front outside wheel, allowing the vehicle to shed the cornering forces without losing it completely.
