1983 Porsche 930 Euro Coupe. This is a very nice, low mileage coupe. We have had it detailed and gone over by our mechanic and everything checked out well. The euro turbos have more torque than the US and Canada models (300hp/432toruqe) by virtue of a less restrictive exhaust. We have had several 930s in stock both US and Euro models and the extra power makes quite a difference on the road. This is an original Ruby Red on black car, the paint is presentable with the exception of the hood. The clear coat has failed in several spots and needs to be resprayed, we can have this done for a nominal extra cost. The rest of the car looks good with the exception of a long scratch on the passenger side where some jerk took a key to the car. There are assorted other minor imperfections typical of a 30 year old car. For a driver, I would do the hood and enjoy.
The interior is equipped with factory sport seats and is exceptional. Very little wear on the seats or carpet. The factory turbo fuchs wheels are perfect and have nearly new tires. The prior owner did not like the turbo tail and had the intercooler relocated to the rear wheel arch on the drivers side. Its a professional job and looks very good. Easy to reverse should the new owner desire. We also have available a standard deck lid that makes this car quite a sleeper and cleans up the lines a bit. A local viewing is welcome and encouraged with appointment. We are happy to help buyers worldwide with shipping and logistics.

CEO says Volkswagen's buying spree is over
Mon, 03 Sep 2012
After adding Italian motorcycle icon Ducati to its stable and spending $5.6 billion on the rest of Porsche, Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn says he's done shopping for a while.
"We have enough to do at the moment in taking our twelve brands to where we want to be," Winterkorn tells German newspaper Handelsblatt.
Jay Leno chats with Magnus Walker about his 1972 Porsche 911 72STR
Tue, 26 Mar 2013Magnus Walker has stopped by the Big Dog Garage again to pay Jay Leno a visit in the latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage. This time, the Porsche builder brought along his 1972 911 72STR 002. Walker calls the machine his best build to date, and the car is a rolling "best of" from Porsches past, rocking some of the more attractive elements pulled from a wide arc of 911 model years. Of course, the machine also wears a few signature Walker touches, including flush-mount turning indicators, a center-hood fuel filler and plenty of louver work.
Unlike some of Walker's other creations, the 72STR 002 is clean enough to lick. Leno seems suitably impressed with the creation, and while apparently isn't typically a fan of Porsche models in general, Walker's tastefully modified 911 has him singing a different tune. You can check out the car in the video below.
Porsche acquires Kyalami race track at auction
Mon, 28 Jul 2014With more victories under its belt than any other manufacturer, you could say, in a figurative sense at least, that Porsche owns countless numbers of race tracks around the world. But here we're not talking about figuratively owning a track - we're talking about literally buying one. And Porsche has just bought Kyalami.
Kylamai, for those unfamiliar, is a grand prix circuit near Johannesburg in South Africa. Between 1967 and 1985, and again in '92 and '93, it was home to the South African Grand Prix, and has since hosted a variety of local and lower-level international races, but apparently fell on hard times. As a result, the track's owners - listed as Universal Property Professionals - put it up for auction. Bidders had to deposit four million Rand (about $380k) to participate, but after just 50 seconds, the auction was over.
The winning bid was placed - via telephone from the local press launch for the Macan - by Porsche South Africa CEO Toby Venter, who bid a reported 205 million rand (about $19.5 million) to take over the complex. The German automaker's South African division reportedly intends to keep the track open for racing, but could also be expected to use the facility for testing, customer track days and such moving forward.
