I am helping a customer sell his 1980 930 Turbo as he is in failing health. We are a German Auto Repair center, We are not a car dealer, we are Porsche enthusiasts. Check us out on line, European Motorsports, Vista, Ca. We have been servicing the owner Terry's Porsche's (He has 3) for over 2 years since he first moved here from Minnesota. This car has Minnesota tags that expired last year. Terry is the second owner & purchased the car from the original owner in Europe & shipped it here in July 1985 with 44,000km on the odometer as documented in the Customs paperwork. It has been through EPA , DOT & Customs compliance & have the original paperwork . The car can not be registered here in California without going through California state compliance. The speedometer / odometer was replaced then & restated @ zero miles when it brought into the USA, it now is showing 38340 miles. Air Conditioning was installed just after landing in the USA. In 1988 the turbo was upgraded to a K27 along with 911SC cams & Andial waste gate & adjustable boost, also Andial intercooler. The car has been well serviced & maintained and runs great. The car just had a major service including a valve adjustment in the last 50 miles. It has no oil leaks. Car has been mostly a garage queen for the last 10 years but runs strong like a Porsche 930 turbo should. In 2005 the car was professionally repainted with Glasurit paint to the original factory code. (304-9-3, Colbalt Blue) The paint job is show condition, no expense was spared. I have all the service records starting from July 1985 along with pictures of the repaint in progress. The interior is in near perfect condition with dark blue leather including the beautiful dash (leather & stitching is perfect with no stretch marks or sun damage) In the late 1980s a B&B dual outlet exhaust was installed, it has since then been converted back to single outlet due to noise. The rear valance still has the cutout on the right side for future use of a dual exhaust. The car is very fast, I am afriad to run it in third gear flat out, it's just too fast. A new brake master cylinder was recently installed. The tires are brand new, the brake pads are 50% or better remaining ant the rotors are not worn or cracked. As documented in the records the car has only been driven about 1000 miles in the last 8 years. Excellence Magazine is listing 930 prices from 40K to 75K. This car is an exceptional example of a rare Euro version 930. Chassis# 93A0070240. The car is being listed elsewhere for sale & I reserve the right to end the auction early. The car can be seen at European Motorsports during normal business hours. Call Joe @ (760)599 9307

Porsche tuners 9ff, SpeedArt going bankrupt
Thu, 19 Sep 2013Times are tough in Europe right now, and that unfortunately has reaped disastrous consequences for some of its smallest niche automakers. Gumpert, Wiesmann, Artega and Lola have all filed for bankruptcy this year, and it appears that tuners are not immune to the tough times, either.
Word coming in from across the pond suggests that 9ff and SpeedArt - two of the biggest names in Porsche tuning - have filed for bankruptcy as well. 9ff is best known for the GT9, a radical hypercar barely based on the 911, while SpeedArt was once of the foremost tuners of Porsches.
Fortunately there are still plenty of tuners ready to take a wrench to your Elfen, but the reported demise of these two makes the market a little bit smaller and - for Porsche enthusiasts - maybe the world a little bit lonelier, too.
Porsche recalls new 911 models over exhaust pipe issues
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Porsche, though the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, announced a voluntary recall on about 2,200 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 models built during the 2012 and 2013 model years. On cars equipped with the standard exhaust system it was found that the tailpipes could separate from the mufflers and become dangerous road debris; models that added the optional sport exhaust system are not included in this recall.
Affected vehicles were built between March and November of last year, but there have been no reports of the problem on any customer-owned vehicles. Porsche first noticed a cracked tailpipe weld on a test vehicle back in May, and since then has found similar problems on other internally owned vehicles, all with more than 25,000 miles on the clock. To fix the problem, dealers will be replacing the mufflers. Scroll down to read the official notice.
Man arrested for stealing part of Paul Walker Porsche wreck
Fri, 06 Dec 2013Humans are odd creatures. Some of us collect things associated with bad events, particularly when it comes to cars. Your author, for example, has the grille of his wrecked 2004 Mini Cooper S hanging on the wall. As a more extreme example, an 18-year-old Californian is in trouble with the LA police, but not for taking an item from his own car accident. Instead, he has been arrested for stealing from the wreck of the Porsche Carrera GT that killed actor Paul Walker and racer Roger Rodas.
And it wasn't a small piece, either. It was the Carrera GT's carbon-fiber roof panel. Making matters worse is word that the theft happened while the tow truck that was hauling the wrecked Porsche was sitting in traffic. According to the LA Sheriff's Department report, "A witness saw a male exit a vehicle that was following the tow truck. The male grabbed a piece of the wrecked Porsche off the tow truck bed." Besides the eyewitnesses, it didn't help that images of the roof panel were later posted on Instagram.
The man, Jameson Witty, was later arrested at his home, where police also found the roof panel. The driver of the car Witty was in when he took the roof panel, meanwhile, is planning on surrendering to the police, according to CNN. It remains unclear if the district attorney's office will charge the two, although if it does, they'll be facing felony grand theft and tampering with evidence.
