Selling my 1986 Porsche 928s. The car has 47,000 miles,shows no wear on interior or exterior. The spoilers front and rear are in mint condition and not all dry rotted and warped. Car is in mint condition. Car was purchased from the original owner who was getting too old to get int and out of this car. Its very fast,front rear radar units ,8 speaker system, tires and wheels are new. It also comes with original wheels in mint condition. The car has never been in rain or snow. It comes with factory repair manuals, books, owners manuals , original Porche check book and pen, tools and paper work on car. Recently changed timing belt, water pump, comes with factory timing belt gauge and spare tire. The pictures just do not do this car justice. You will not be disappointed. By the end of this year, Porsche will be producing as many plug-in vehicles (two) as mainstream automakers such as Toyota, Chevrolet and Honda. Before the 2015 918 Spyder hybrid supercar goes on sale in the US, though, it will be warming its customers up to the idea of a plug-in model with the 2014 Panamera S E-Hybrid. A step up from the previous Panamera S Hybrid, the new plug-in Panamera adds a more powerful and advanced electric drive system that pledges to deliver the performance expected of a Porsche with the added benefit of improved fuel economy and reduced emissions.
Going on sale in November, the Panamera S E-Hybrid is aimed at customers also considering the upcoming plug-in version Mercedes-Benz S-Class, but the car's dimensions and performance could make it a competitor for Tesla Model S customers. We headed to Germany at Porsche's invitation to see how well it performs, as well as check out the full range of newly refreshed Panamera models, which now numbers nine offerings - although we're still waiting for a production version of the gorgeous Sport Turismo wagon concept.
Paul Walker's accident due to 'speed, and speed alone'
Thu, 19 Dec 2013Following an investigation into the crash that killed Fast and Furious star Paul Walker and driver Roger Rodas, an unnamed law enforcement source told the Associated Press that there were no signs of mechanical failure on the Porsche Carrera GT that was destroyed in the accident.
The report from The Huffington Post claims the officer in question blamed "speed, and speed alone" in the fatal accident. The same report ruled out the presence of debris in the road, which may have caused Rodas to lose control of the V10-powered super car.
Engineers from Porsche are traveling to California to investigate the accident with the help of the Carrera GT's on-board data recorder. Until then, investigators won't speculate on the car's speed at the time of the wreck.
