1987 Porsche 928s4. Desirable guards red paint with black interior. Mileage is listed as 78,000 this is reasonably close to the actual mileage because the car is driven every now and then. Same owner since 2000 Runs great and shifts as it should Aftermarket stereo Interior is in great condition with no rips ( The dash has the usual cracking on the instrument pod ) New tires at about 75,000 Exterior looks great ( The drivers side fender is faded and the paint is cracking on the nose cone ) It's hard to see on the pictures but I want to disclose this to any buyer In my opinion both should be repainted. Fender can be buffed and it looks great until it sits in the sun. Then it fades. Really do not know why. A/C is inop. Possibly just a recharge. Car is not used enough to justify. All switches work as they should In July of 2010 with 74,920 miles the water pump failed and damaged the upper end of the engine. The engine was repaired at a professional shop which also replaced the water pump and timing belt at that time. Repair cost--$6936.00 Ouch! Have all invoices for parts and work performed. Overall it's a great looking and driving car. An exceptional car for money and should sell soon! Offers less than $10,000.00 will not be responded to. Magnus Walker soliloquizes in his Porsche 911 at night
Fri, 23 Aug 2013Magnus Walker, a prolific Los Angeles clothing designer who has also carved out a respected spot for himself in Porsche world, has had yet another video made about him and his sizable Porsche collection. In this latest video, Hong Kong-based Obscura magazine focuses its video cameras on Walker and his 1971 Porsche 911 track car (yes, the one that appeared on Jay Leno's Garage) as he speeds around Downtown LA and Little Tokyo late at night.
We've heard Walker's story many times before. He's not like the average Porsche owner, perhaps a tad more passionate than most, and he builds 911s like he designs clothes: his way. Tue, 27 Aug 2013How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice. Ask Patrick Dempsey and he'll likely tell you the same secret for landing a role on a hit TV show or, for that matter, driving a Porsche in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
That's because, like McQueen and Newman, Dempsey has earned his place in that rarified field of actors who also race. He's competed in Baja and Grand-Am, co-owns an IndyCar team, and this year returned to Le Mans where he and his teammates Joe Foster and Patrick Long finished fourth in the GTE-Am class behind the wheel of their Porsche 911 RSR.

Fri, Nov 7 2014The EPA and Department of Energy have released the 2015 Fuel Economy Guide. Unsurprisingly, the groups say that this year features more fuel efficient and low-emissions vehicles than previous years, and they span a greater variety of vehicle types. The guide also provides "best-in-class" lists, greenhouse gas ratings and estimated fuel costs for each vehicle. The EPA and DOE hope that car buyers will use the guide to help choose cars that are better for the environment and the climate. Check out the guide for yourself or read more in the press release below. To get from one WEC race to the next, Porsche ships its 919 Hybrid LMP1 cars by air. As the team travels around the world - from continent to continent - it must take 35 tons worth of cargo with it, including two LMP1 cars. That means draining fluids, partially dismantling the cars, and fitting everything into a 747. The team also ships items by sea, which requires shipping extra sets of items due to the longer shipping times. "It's all about efficiency," according to Porsche. Read more in the press release below. Terra Motors is unveiling the A4000i electric scooter, which it will sell in Europe, at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. The A4000i, which features smartphone connectivity, will be the company's European flagship model. Terra Motors will begin selling in Italy, and plans to make arrangements to sell in several more countries shortly after. Terra hopes to set up manufacturing in Europe, as well.
