Hello all, I haven't sold a Porsche in this venue in quite some time but I am excited to reveal this one to all of you for your bidding. I have sold many, many fine Porsches and some that were very nice and even a few that were just OK. But this example excels even a bit beyond even the best ones that have come through my Shop. I should start with the cars' current owner Mr. D Taylor who is known throughout the Country in 928 circles to be a meticulous enthusiast who compromises nothing when it comes to his collectible cars. He is a Retired professional who just enjoys cars and particularly this 928 , as you will see in the photos of his awesome 928 and the modifications and level of perfection he has always insisted upon where this machine is concerned.
I also must mention that an average s4 on Ebay sells between 8 and 12 thousand dollars. I know also that these, although decent driver's, would need 15 - 20 thousand additional in maintenance, repair and cosmetics to approach what this 928 already is. this means it is not for everyone save the most discerning and picky among us 928 enthusiasts. I have been working on these and the 911/930 based cars for a very long time and I have seen everything...at least twice. I have only ever seen one other like this and when I was commissioned to sell it ,I was proud to have put the keys into a Gentleman from New Jersey's hands 3 days later, after he, Mr D. Edgar called "his lengthy search for the right 928". The economy is what we all know it is and this is a chance for you to get one of the very best 928's in the world at a very good price . Opportunity knocks for this multiple trophy winner and well known, and coveted in the 928 community S4. This car was also featured in the 2013 928 calendar as "the June car". Copyright infringement prevents me from posting a photo of the Calendar and the stunning model with the car, but a copy of the Calendar signed by the the 'Miss June" model will be included with the sale.
The car is absolutely gorgeous and runs, drives, and stops as new, everything is in working order and as it should be. The owner has just spent a substantial sum here at Nuen Werke to prepare this for sale including new timing belt and water pump and new tensioner upgrade. It has a BOGE EIBACH suspension with 928 specialists front and rear sway bars and links. Handles like a race car yet smooth and not jarring. I will refrain from listing all of the many details of this car and just ask you to look at the pics and then ask any question you would like and I will be more than helpful in answering, Just know that this 928 is a problem free, updated and maintained to current date to last a very long time with just gas, the key, and your right foot. As always you can call me direct , Kevin Michael at Nuen Werke German, 717.451.3828, but you must be an able and ready contender for this car as my time is valuable and so is yours. Also feel free to visit the shop and inspect and drive this 928 for yourself or bring your mechanic and I will accommodate him with my lifts and tools if needed. One note of minor significance, the front seems high but it is from just coming off of the lift for photos. Thank You and good luck to you!
Kevin

What's the deal with comedians and their cars?
Mon, May 22 2017'Round about the time in his life when it should happen for all of us, Jerry Seinfeld's ship came in with a force that almost split the dock. He'd been doing pretty well with his observational style ("There's a cereal now that's just cookies. Have you seen this? Cookies for breakfast. It's called Cookie Crisp. Cookies for breakfast! They oughta just call it 'To Hell With Everything!'"). But he showed no signs of setting the world on fire until he got cast in a show that was either about – depending on the level of comedy geek you ask – the average New Yorker, the very worst people in the world, or nothing. Suddenly Jerry Seinfeld was pretty much the center of the comedy universe. And while his comedy was at once both brilliantly innovative and rooted in the mundane, his next move was a predictable grab at something exotic – he went out and bought his dream car. A rather nice 911, actually. As almost everyone knows, it didn't stop there, and the man put together one of the most enviable collections of iconic Porsches we're likely to see. So what's the connection, if there is one, between cars and comedy? As far as Jerry Seinfeld (the man) is concerned, he's probably not the same guy as the Jerry on Seinfeld (the show) although it's hard to say for sure; his public persona is almost unnervingly well managed. But cars and comedy were the constants in his life then, and, well, just look at what the guy does now; Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is a cultural constant, and we're certainly seeing Seinfeld the man in that one, and cars are obviously still central to his life. And it's been that way with a lot of very, very good comedy guys. Cars seem to round out their lives, to become the yin to their comedy yang. Ernie Kovacs might not have invented visual gags or surreal humor, but he got them both to kill on television in the 1950s, so he's a comedy hero. He died behind the wheel of his beloved Corvair wagon, so he's absolutely some kind of car-guy hero as well. Bill Cosby, the hottest name in comedy for a good long while, had Ferraris, one of two fire-breathing supercharged big-block Cobras (pictured below), and a BMW 2002tii – none of which either contributed to or in any way make up for the profoundly sociopathic creature he turned out to be, but it's still a data point. The Smothers Brothers, who defied the networks and the norms by getting blatantly political before that sort of thing was cool, went sports car racing.
Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles
Mon, May 13 2024It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.
Porsche already considering even more hardcore Cayman GT4 RS?
Fri, Mar 6 2015We're not sure what kind of person would look at the new Porsche Cayman GT4 and say "that's not enough," but we're sure they're out there. And to satisfy just such a customer, Porsche could very well offer a GT4 RS version in the future. "This is just the beginning of the era. I would be interested in doing a Cayman GT4 RS version, but at the moment we didn't even talk about such a thing. If the customers call for something like this we could think about it." These are the words of Andreas Preuninger, speaking with Evo at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show this week. As head of Porsche's GT line, Preuninger and his team are responsible for creating hardcore track models like the 911 GT3, the new 911 GT3 RS and – for the first time – the new Cayman GT4. Clearly buoyed by the early success of the GT4, Prenuninger is already looking towards the next step. Considering that the existing model already packs a 3.8-liter flat six with 385 horsepower and the manual transmissions so many GT3 fans miss, we're not sure how much more they could get out of the Cayman – but we'll sure enjoy watching them try.
