Regular maintenance has been done since the work listed below was done a year ago:
Adding the 24mm wheel spacers was not as simple as it could be if we wanted to keep the original 15" phone dial rims. The spacers that come with bolts on them will not fit the back of the phone dial rim. Therefore we had to go with a regular 24mm spacer with no studs but had to change out the studs to longer ones. That didn't seem so bad until we found out that basically you have to break down the rear shafts and press the knuckle out to get to the old studs. At this point we are not the type of people that would take all that apart and put it all back together without replacing CV's on shafts, Bearings, and emergency break. So a simple job got very evolved and expensive. We did the spacers, we did the CV joints, we did the bearings, we did all new emergency breaks with shoes, and we did longer studs, and replaced all pads with new front and back.
ENGINE, DRIVE TRAIN, SUSPENSION:
We inspected the front-end and replaced inner and outer front bearings. . .. (The rest of the front end was in really good condition and did not need anything else addressed).
We had a compression test done on the engine, Oil change on engine, oil change on manual transmission, oil change on rear-end. . ..(Went through the oil with a magnet and found no filings), Plugs, cap, rotor, wires, new electronic injectors, fuel Pressure regulators, new Fuel rails, New Gas Tank, and Both fuel pumps back at the tank, along with replacing all old rubber lines.
Disassembled the entire top of the engine (all intake), which gave us room to clean, paint and detail the engine compartment. Reassembled the entire intake system with new gaskets, rubber, vacuum lines, and with cleaned and rebuilt throttle body.

BODY AND EXTERIOR:
Car is original Guards Red Single Stage Paint
We took the original paint job on this car and gently rubbed it out and put a fine coat of wax on it. The exterior of the car has been maintained over the years by NICK ORSO'S BODY SHOP in Syracuse NY. The only part of the car that has ever been repainted was the front nose because of chips and scratches from highway driving.
The wheel wells and under side of the car have been LIGHTLY brushed, cleaned, and repainted.
All four rims have been sanded down and refinished.
Interior:
We completely took the entire inside of the car apart. Pulled seats, carpet, dash, interior panel's right down to the floor boards. This is the way I like to detail the inside of a 928.
We installed a new stereo system and replaced all factory speakers from 1980 with updated equipment including a nice 6 channel stereo with sub subwoofer. Cleaned, shampooed, detailed, all interior panels, carpet, dash pieces and treated with leather treatment. Reinstalled all interior cleaned and leather treated.
Installed custom LED lighting for the under areas of the inside floor and the dash display. The lights on the original dash are not bright enough for me. These lights can be turned on or off as desired.
We purchased new red carpets with back 928 lettering for front foot area to accent the front compartment.
Installed Panther shift knob with red leather boot
Replaced the switches for the windows.
All new windshield wipers all the way around
We completed total fuse box maintenance. Replacing all fuses and relays, cleaning and making sure all contacts are good, and that all electrical options work correctly.
We replaced all light bulbs in the entire car.

See what the Chevy C7 ZR1 may be benchmarked against
Tue, 07 May 2013One of the greatest things every Corvette has had going for it, and also one of the most re-used arguments against it, is its price-to-performance equation - long before the Nissan GT-R became the de facto Porsche 911 comparator the Corvette spent decades as Exhibit A. Depending on which side of the argument you stressed, supporters crowed about how much performance you got for how (comparatively) little, detractors carped on how little you got everywhere else in the bargain.
It appears Chevrolet is working as hard as ever to render the argument meaningless. Spy shooters at KGP captured a convocation of European birds of prey leaving the General Motors test center, and aimed at benchmarking the C7 Corvette ZR1. The road train comprised of two C7 Corvette Stingrays, a 2013 Corvette ZR1, McLaren MP4-12C, Ferrari 458 Italia, Audi R8 V10 Spyder and Porsche 911 Carrera S and it was last seen heading down the same kinked-up back roads used to hone the Corvette Stingray.
The C7-series ZR1 and its possible 700 horsepower are still a ways off. If it really is being positioned to compete with the celestial exotica in the testing group, could it be the first Corvette to regularly be the first answer to the question "Cost no object, which would would you rather have?"
Trump calls Germans 'very bad,' vows to stop their car sales in US
Fri, May 26 2017TAORMINA, Italy -Talks between President Trump and other leaders of the world's rich nations at the G7 summit on Friday were expected to be "robust" and "challenging" after he had lambasted NATO allies and condemned Germans as "very bad" for their trade policies. Trump's confrontational remarks in Brussels, on the eve of the two-day summit in the Mediterranean resort town of Taormina, cast a pall over a meeting at which America's partners had hoped to coax him into softening his stances on trade and climate change. According to German media reports, Trump condemned Germany as "very bad" for its trade policies in a meeting with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, signaling he might take steps to limit sales of German cars in the United States. "The Germans are bad, very bad," he reportedly told Juncker. "Look at the millions of cars that they're selling in the USA. Horrible. We're gonna stop that." White House economic adviser Gary Cohn on Friday confirmed the reports. "He said they're very bad on trade, but he doesn't have a problem with Germany." Cohn said Trump had pointed out during the meeting that his father had German roots in order to underscore the message that he had nothing against the German people. Trump's spokesman Sean Spicer said Trump had "tremendous respect" for Germany and had only complained about unfair trade practices in the meeting. Juncker called the reports in Spiegel Online and Sueddeutsche Zeitung exaggerated. The reports translated "bad" with the German word "boese," which can also mean "evil," leading to confusion when English-language media translated the German reports back into English. "The record has to be set straight," Juncker said, noting that the translation issue had exaggerated the seriousness of what Trump had said. "It's not true that the president took an aggressive approach when it came to the German trade surplus." "He said, like others have, that (the United States) has a problem with the German surplus. So he was not aggressive at all," Juncker added. In January, Trump threatened to slap a 35 percent tax on German auto imports. "If you want to build cars in the world, then I wish you all the best. You can build cars for the United States, but for every car that comes to the USA, you will pay 35 percent tax," he said. "I would tell BMW that if you are building a factory in Mexico and plan to sell cars to the USA, without a 35 percent tax, then you can forget that." Last year, the U.S.
The 2013 Rolex 24-hour race at Daytona comes down to the last hour [spoilers, w/video]
Mon, 28 Jan 2013It took 24 hours to run the race, but it was the last one was stuffed with the high action as four cars were still trying to figure out how to gain victory on the track and in the pits. Along with the obligatory crashes, spins, mechanical issues and retirements had come numerous penalties, a double-digit number of full-course yellows and two hours of fog that turned early Sunday morning into a stretch of parade laps.
The final hour would make up for the morning - drivers who might have been happy just to get on the podium had a shot at victory as the end of the race approached, and that turned into a few gambles that paid off, and at least one that didn't...
