1984 Porsche 928 S at 77,xx actual miles).(U.S. legal  euro spec car). Exterior: Shiny black paint. Black canvas top with  power glass sun roof both are rare. Some Porsche people say its factory installed, some say euro after market. I don't know but the headliner is molded to/for the larger shaded  glass sun roof.(maybe it was a euro trend back in the day).  The interior is blue with all new matching blue leather seating, new foam padding as well. medium blue. Good carpet/ Porsche logo matts, has the spare tire and tool kit' all lights and power options work with the exception of: the heat temp. adjusting lever it works, just on or off, fan speeds all work. The a/c did work  (says the previous owner till the belt tensioner got broke/ bent),  I saw that its all there  belt as well, just wont tighten enough. The period correct 16" gold center BBS rims are in great shape, no weird  tire wear patterns. (The Oregon title says  reconstructed, haven't learned what this represents). However my S 10 deemed totaled  after a deer strike at 30mph and slowing. Yep, $113.00 ,of E bay after market parts, head light, grill & blinker and its to/from work again. Not to say the DMV is wrong, just that the Porsche drives/feels like a 77,xxx mile car and a body shop did a great job. (Yes the front spoiler/bib) is missing. The older gent. I bought this from said he hit a parking stop and then took it off. I'd bet that's when the a/c quit as well. OK, the euro spec  differences : rear, no big bumps at the sides of the plate area, has red rear fog light, side markers may be different too. engine U.S. model 234 hp. this  euro with twin distributors, euro cams& 10.4:1 compression , book says 310 hp, Porsche folk know they dyno @ 330hp. Quality headers can increase these numbers by 20%. This car has those headers. So the numbers are higher 310=372hp., 330=396 at 20%.  Its a 5 speed and the final drive is 2.73. the vin # is wp0zzz92zes841383. the number in the  official box is a 914 I have  call ,email you questions be for winning the car it does drive firm, straight . Western states , if it helps ,I may  be willing to drive this car you @ $2.00 a mile. all payments must be paid in full(including del. costs to be paid before hand . proof of insurance faxed/ emailed showing this car is covered. thank you , 541-680-0053, will return all missed calls

On May-21-13 at 06:51:09 PDT, seller added the following information:

hello , I didn't make clear, that there are some  e bay glitches that won't accept  euro  vin#'s .  And if the cars year is newer than 1979 it won't accept as well . That's why this add has two model year dates and  a 914 Porsche vin# . The car is a 1984.  This was the only way  to complete/comply with the auction add.   thanks

Watch a Cayenne Turbo S, Range Rover SVR, and Cherokee SRT drag race

Thu, Mar 17 2016

We live in a weird world where high-performance SUVs could win a 60-mile-per-hour sprint against sports cars from just a few years ago. Here, Top Gear sets up a three-way drag race against the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR, and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, and the results show just how quickly these high-riding models can cross the quarter mile. The Cherokee SRT is the patriotic choice among the three, but it's down on power in this fight. Meanwhile, the Range Rover's menacing growl sounds the best, and the Cayenne Turbo S has the most horsepower. You'll have to watch the video to see which SUV will win this battle. Related Video:

Porsche 912 is no longer the brand's black sheep

Fri, Dec 12 2014

If you haven't looked recently, prices for many vintage Porsche 911s are now well out of the realm for mortal men to purchase. However, the growing values have their advantages because they mean that the 912 is being better accepted as a member of the Porsche family. In a new video, Petrolicious talks to one owner about his mildly modified example while the coupe zips through the backroads and city streets of France. Launched around the time of the 911, the 912 shared its body but retained the four-cylinder engine from the 356, rather than the new six. The older mill helped make the 912 cheaper to buy, but it also tarnished the coupe in the eyes of Porsche fans for years. Much like the four-cylinder 914 and 924, the 912 just seemed like a black sheep in the shadow of its more powerful brother. Following two massive changes to his life, Julien Borne bought a 1967 912 as a project to get back on the road. After hours of welding, wrenching and beating out panels by hand in his grandparents' neglected country house, he crafted this gorgeous example. Check out the video to hear his story, as Petrolicious shows why the model's stigma is wearing off.

Porsche wants you to 3D print your own Cayman

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

Have you got access to a 3D printer? Well lucky you, because as we're rapidly learning, the possibilities are virtually endless. And if your tastes lean towards the automotive (as we'd assume they do if you're reading this page), we've got good news.
Porsche has just released 3D printing data for the Cayman S so you can three-dimensionally print out your own and customize to your heart's content. Now Porsche hasn't specified just to what scale the data will allow you to print your Cayman, but we have a feeling that'd mostly be limited by the size of the printer at your disposal. Check it out in the video below and follow the link to the Porsche site to download the file.
