1976 Porsche 914 2.0L 68,661 miles w/Air Conditioning
You are bidding on a 1976 Porsche 914. This is a great car and with very rare working A/C. The car has been driven very little since the early 90's but was run in its garage regularly. The engine runs great and has the usual seepage oil leaks but no dripping oil and is very clean burning with no smoke. The transmission shifts perfect and clutch works perfect. There is a little leak from the speedometer drive on the transmission but fluid is clean and full. The suspension, shocks, bushings, tie rods, wheel bearings, etc are in good condition with nothing loose or worn. Brakes are good but squeak a little on slow breaking. I suspect from rust on the rotors from not been driven very much. The interior is almost perfect and certainly for its age is in very good condition. There is one small crack on the top of the instrument cluster housing and the dash has no cracks. There are a couple of nicks in the seats and center pad which are shown in the pictures. Door panels are perfect. Carpet is in good condition. You can see from the pictures the overall condition of the interior is excellent. The top and door seals are very good except the passenger side seal from the top down to the door. Pictured. Anybody that knows these cars always checks the battery tray and the subsequent rust trail from the battery tray to the back corner of the passenger seat. On this car it is very clean and no rust is evident. I took a couple of pictures to show this. Both trunks are perfect and look like they just come off the showroom floor. Now the body!!!. The body and chassis on this car are rust free. The bumpers are in great shape but need a little buffing to get the shine back. The overall look of the car as you can see in the pictures is almost perfect. But there are a couple of flaws. A shopping cart dent below the mirror on the left door and one below the door handle on the right side. With its color you have to be close and with the correct light angle to see them. Also the front hood has had a repaint at sometime in its life and it was not done very well. Again with the correct light and angle there is some trash and sanding lines that can be seen. It may be able to be buffed out??? From the pictures you can not see them so I mention it here. Overall this car has a great look and presents its self very well but will require a TLC on the cosmetics to be a perfect car !!! I work very hard to present my cars as best as possible and my customers have been very happy with their purchases so if you have any questions please ask them before you bid and keep my rating at 100% positive !!! 2015 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid
Fri, Mar 13 2015When the Porsche Panamera joined the hybrid poker game with the S Hybrid, it started with a seat at the penny-ante table: engineers inserted a 47-horsepower electric motor between the gas engine and eight-speed automatic, powered by a 1.7-kWh nickel-metal hydride battery. It was tiny stakes, the kind of non-risk taken when you're trying to figure out both how to play the game and how you want to play the game. After two years of experimenting, the 2015 Panamera S E-Hybrid makes a bigger bet – the kind that requires paper bills and the maxim, "If you can't fold it, hold it." Porsche's plug-in hybrid gets every adjective we expect of a successor from Stuttgart: more complex, more efficient, more powerful and faster. Driving Notes The electric motor leaps from 47 hp to 95 hp thanks to more windings on the stator coils and new power electronics. The battery goes from a 1.7-kWh nickel-metal hydride unit to 9.4-kWh lithium-ion setup; it's the same physical size as before, still mounted under the cargo deck. Internal combustion still comes from the Audi-sourced, 333-hp, supercharged V6, but total system power goes from 380 hp and 428 pound-feet of torque in the S Hybrid to 416 hp and 435 lb-ft in the S E-Hybrid. The previous system could run a mile on electricity, this one is estimated to last more than 20 miles on e-power on the European cycle. The 0-60 dash takes 5.2 seconds, down from 5.7 seconds; top speed in electric-only mode is 84 mph – up from 50 mph. It takes 2.5 hours at a 240-volt outlet to fully recharge the battery; the Porsche Universal Charger comes equipped with a cable for that and a standard 120-volt socket. Only Panamera obsessives will notice the sheetmetal changes for 2015, but there are sharper lines on the front and rear fascias, faint revisions made to the light clusters, wider glass – over the same-sized opening – on the rear tailgate, and a wider rear spoiler. Outsiders will know the S E-Hybrid because of Acid Green highlights on the fender and tailgate logos, as well as the Acid Green brake calipers. Inside, the central tach remains, but the analog speedometer was evicted to make space for the battery power meter, and Acid Green needles dance across all the gauges. The navigation screen shows your electric driving range and the Porsche Car Connect service provides the expected, smartphone-controlled e-mobility features.
Next-generation Panamera will spawn variants, Sport Turismo in the running
Mon, Dec 1 2014A few years ago it took actual willpower not to consider what kinds of cool derivatives Porsche could make with the Panamera. Our fancies were helped by patent drawings of a Panamera convertible, rumors of a two-door 928 GT and internal Porsche sketches of such a car, and report after report after report that the current, second-generation Panamera would begin to expand the family. That hasn't happened, but according to a new report in Auto Express, the next Panamera will be the one to begin the bifurcation. Wolfgang Hatz, the brand's head of research and development, told the mag that, "We have prepared it for a lot of derivatives, personally I like very much the Sport Turismo." The Panamera Sport Turismo, remember, was the hybrid, concept wagon that rolled into the 2012 Paris Motor Show and made everyone ask, "Why didn't you build this design from the beginning?" It could have been Hatz's English, but after professing his ardor for the Sport Turismo, the executive said, "But there is a good chance for more derivatives." We're not sure if that means the Sport Turismo is all but approved, or if he was speaking of the third generation Panamera's new MSB platform in general. Even though Hatz mentioned a coupe and convertible, it sounds like that latter variant won't be happening, Hatz saying that the brand already has the Boxster and 911 Cabriolet. We're willing to forgive that omission – who's really looking for a four-door convertible, anyway? – and welcome the Sport Turismo first if Hatz will please please please get us a new 928.
2014 Porsche Panamera 4S Executive
Fri, 09 Aug 2013If the idea of a Porsche sedan (or, long hatchback) is still off-putting to you, then you might want to look away now. For 2014, the polarizing Panamera has received a midcycle refresh bringing slightly different styling, as well as adding two new models to the lineup, the S E-Hybrid and the stretched-wheelbase Executive. Having focused most of my recent trip to Germany on a First Drive of the intriguing plug-in Panamera, I also got to spend some time with the roomier Executive model.
Offered in both 4S and Turbo guise, the Panamera Executive has been stretched by almost six inches for the sole purpose of improving rear passenger space. Although it's hard to imagine anyone would willingly buy a Porsche and opt to sit in the back seat, I'd have to say that if I'm going to be chauffeured around in a car, why not make it a Porsche? For the most part, though, I'm guessing that many Panamera Executive sedans will be owned by people who want to one-up their buddy driving a stretched BMW 7 Series or Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
