1973 Porsche 914 Base 1.7l Signal Orange on 2040-cars
Sidney, British Columbia, Canada
1973 Signal Orange 914-1.7 The interior is very original Brown with a very nice with a crack free dash, original seats with 2 very small repairs, 1 on each cushion (hardly noticeable). It also has the original steering wheel and Blaupunkt Radio which does work, however the car does require an antenna. The carpets have been replaced in the past. The targa top is also in very nice condition inside and out. The engine retains all of its original fuel injection. The battery tray and hell hole are clean and solid. It is believed to be numbers matching, but I have not verified that information. The front and rear trunk as well as the floor boards are solid. The longitudinal's are also solid. The odometer reads just under 70,000 miles, but seems to have quit working in the past few days. It was working just prior to inspection 1 month ago. The speedometer does work. All electrical works, lights, horn etc.. The vehicle just went thru a comprehensive out of province inspection. I had new front struts installed. the tires, exhaust and the rest of the suspension passed all of the requirements. While it was in the shop I also had a tune up completed and the fuel injection was also set up. The ignition switch was also replaced as it was intermittent. I will say that the car runs very well, but does take a few minutes to warm up. The car pulls very nicely thru all gears with no issues whatsoever. It also handles very well. The original jack, partial tool kit, and Fuch spare tire are also included. It will also be for sale locally and I have the right to end this auction at anytime. I will also assit in shipping in anyway that I can, but the cost of shipping is 100% the responsibility of the buyer. Please ask many questions as this sale is as is where is with no implied guarantees or warrantee. I can take more photos if required. Please see the photo share link below for more photos |

Best compact SUVs of 2023 and 2024
Thu, Oct 20 2022Compact SUVs are now the go-to choice for family transportation. Actually, considering how popular they are, they have clearly moved beyond only family duty. With such popularity, though, comes an awful lot of competitors, and it can be difficult to figure out which one might be the best compact SUV for you. It's important to note that by "compact SUV" we're talking about a specific segment. As we describe in our more comprehensive "Best small SUVs" list, there are also subcompact SUVs that vary widely in size amongst themselves, but are clearly smaller than the SUVs below. Frankly, today's segment of compact SUVs isn't exactly compact — some have more cargo space than vehicles that are considered midsize based on their exterior dimensions. They've all grown considerably over the years. While many lists out there just rattle off every vehicle available in a segment, we thought we'd be a bit more helpful and curate your shopping a bit with the top-recommended choices reviewed by Autoblog. We've included both mainstream and compact luxury SUV choices. Best compact SUVs of 2023 and 2024 2024 Honda CR-V Why it stands out: Best-in-class space; excellent hybrid powertrain; sharp interior style; Honda dependabilityCould be better: No lower-price base trim levels; no sporty or off-road niche models; no plug-in hybrid Read our full 2024 Honda CR-V Review Consider the CR-V the baseline for any compact SUV search, and look extra closely at the superb CR-V Hybrid option. Objectively speaking, it's tough to beat due to its massive cargo capacity, voluminous back seat, strong-yet-efficient engines, well-balanced driving dynamics, competitive pricing and features, and well-regarded reliability. It's easy to see why it continues to be such a best-seller: for the vast majority of compact SUV buyers, and especially families, it checks every box. That's been the case for many years now, however. The all-new 2023 Honda CR-V changes things up by adding a bit more style and character, particularly in terms of its interior design and how surprisingly enjoyable the Sport and Sport Touring hybrid trim levels are to drive.
Porsche kicks off Macan production at revamped Leipzig plant
Sun, 16 Feb 2014After over two years of construction and roughly 500 million euros ($684 million at current rates) invested, Porsche finally opened its Leipzig, Germany, factory expansion on February 11. The improvements to the plant are dedicated to building the Macan and include a new body shop, paint shop and assembly line that are advancing Porsche's goal to sell 50,000 Macan's per year. The company believes that the new model is going to push it to over 200,000 annual sales 3 years ahead of schedule, and the enlarged branch can support even more Macan production, if there is demand.
"We are totally convinced in the qualities of this location and that the Macan will be a marketing success," said Porsche Chairman Matthias Müller during the opening celebration. The company opened its Leipzig factory in 2002 to build the Cayenne and added Panamera production in 2009.
The Macan models are due to launch in the US this summer with prices starting at $49,900. Scroll down to learn all of the details about the Macan's Leipzig assembly plant.
