A Fabulous 1972 Porche Targa 914
This car is driven seasonally
The car is a 1972 and it's not perfect but it is in really nice condition.
Exterior underside, engine compartment, body, trunk, hood are in good condition.
There are some small rust spots on the exterior..
Interior seats and floor mats are good condition.
The dash has a small crack.
Tires are in good condition with minimal wear.
The engine is a 1.7 liter with fuel injection.
The transmission is a 5 speed manual shift.
The brakes are in excellent condition.
The carpet in good condition.
The overall look of the car is good.
Although this is a sharp car, it does have some paint fading and few scratches. A new paint job would bring back to new looking.
The windshield was replaced in 2006.
I tried to give a true representation of the cars appearance and mechanics.
I'd rather you'd be happy with car than be disappointed.
Hopefully the photos will depict the cars condition.
I bought this car in 2001 and rarely drove the car, for the most part it was kept in a garage
but I loved driving the car.

Porsche looks back on very first 911 Turbo
Wed, 11 Jun 2014Porsche has really hit on a winning formula with its series of videos going inside its vault. So far, we've seen the V8 911 prototype, mid-engine test mule and aerodynamic prototype. The company is sticking with the 911 theme in the latest entry, but this time it's an actual production car - the very first 911 Turbo ever made.
Being the first Turbo would make it important enough, but the car was also a birthday present for Louise Piëch, daughter of Ferdinand Porsche and sister to Ferry Porsche, and she regularly used the car. The family didn't just hand her a random car off the assembly line, either. She got to make it her own with some interesting modifications. She supposedly even painted landscapes from inside the car.
You have to wonder what Piëch thought of her present. The early Turbos had a reputation for being a bit of a handful to drive. The boost tended to bring the power all at once, which wasn't always welcome when cornering. She deserves some honor just for driving the car on the curvy, alpine roads. Scroll down to learn about this important Porsche, and we can't wait to see what car the brand showcases next.
Porsche Cayman GT4 spotted at the N?rburgring
Tue, 13 May 2014It was just the other day that we first caught wind of Porsche's plans to build a GT4 version of the Cayman, and now we're already looking at spy shots of the vehicle in question undergoing testing at - where else? - the Nürburgring.
With more aggressive front-end aero, a GT3-style air vent ahead of the front hood, a large wing at the back, and spindly alloys packed with over-sized brakes at each corner, this Cayman is clearly more extreme than even the range-topping GTS. The rear diffuser and central exhaust tips look about the same as those you'd find at the back of the Cayman GTS, though.
What we can't see, of course, is what Porsche has slotted in under the rear glass, how it's upgraded the interior and how much weight it's stripped out of the thing to get it down to fighting weight, but you can bet it'll come with a substantial power bump and a stripped-out interior with racing buckets and little else to open the gap between it and the GTS... and close the gap to the 911 GT3 which it will join as the baby brother in Porsche's performance-focused lineup. Audi and Porsche squabble over future product platforms
Tue, 22 Jul 2014In the buildup to the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans, Audi delivered an amusing video that worked on the playful rivalry between the German brand and its favorite frenemy, Porsche. We called it sibling rivalry, and at the time, it may have been just that. But just like sibling rivalries, it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt, and that's just what seems to be about to happen in the formerly peaceful Volkswagen Group family.
A new report from Automobile calls out the growing animosity between Porsche, who is backed up by Bentley, and Audi, whose primary ally is Lamborghini. No blows have actually been thrown, although there is a fair amount of "he said, she said" going on.
As Porsche tells it, for example, the new global fullsize SUV architecture being developed by Audi isn't up to snuff, citing size and structure issues, as well as an inability to accommodate a wide variety of engines.
