This is a pretty original car resprayed in factory color Tangerine (6809), I am the 3rd register owner I was told by PO that the original owner had owned the car since late 2012 until he passed away. I can verify until 2010 (old registration with name matching the original maintenance manual (pic showing) , 133k miles matching number car, COA in hand to verify. interior in nice condition, slight wear on lower bolster on driver seat, carpet must be newer as it is in great shape, all electronics work except original stereo which is not hooked up and I have not verified if working condition but it does match the COA as a upgrade Becker Europa (clock works but on its own time). Motor has good power but does smoke a bit and typical small drops of oil, it does have Weber Carbs and will backfire periodically on down shift I think its just the idler jets but I haven't check it doesn't happen often,I have been waiting to get in with Benton Performance to check. I am comfortable to drive any distance (took a couple hundred mile drive last weekend. Paint has small chips all over but honestly I had no plans to fix it just looks used shines well, body in nice shape only issues is lower front under bumper appears to have run up on curb and is bent a bit ,back license plate metal has some small dings and deck lid small dent otherwise no signs of accidents. The car is currently registered and still sports its original black plates, car has been in california it whole life. PO put a bottle jack through passenger floor you wouldn't know it from inside not a big deal I put a little clear silicone on it just to keep weather out. Only spot I could see any signs of rust is smaller then pencil eraser under rear window otherwise none.. Has original Fuchs I am told late 60s but I have not checked date stamps (not original to car as COA shows chrome steelies) new tires ,glass is original stamped Sekurit front windshield in Sigla stamped from west Germany no chips or cracks, headliner great, PO mention that the pan under the tank was replaced but it was done so well I couldn't tell.

Porsche working on turbo V12 for Putin limo project?
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Porsche is best known for building very well-regarded sports cars and better-selling utility vehicles. Come to the company with a big enough bag of cash, though, and the Porsche Engineering division can create just about anything. The group's past projects include working with Harley-Davidson, Mercedes-Benz and corporate cousin Audi, but if rumors prove true, then its latest partner might be the last one you'd expect.
Russian website Wroom reports that Porsche Engineering is building the engine for the Project Cortege government limousine project for Russian president Vladimir Putin. The mill is supposedly a turbocharged V12 displacing between 6.0- and 6.6-liters and making around 800 horsepower. When complete, it will reportedly be built by ZMZ with Russian-sourced parts.
The limo is expected to debut in 2017, according to Wroom, but it's just the beginning of Putin's grandiose plans, which also goes by the name of the Motorcade Project. The same platform is also meant to underpin several vehicles for use by the government, including an SUV, a small bus and a sedan. All of them would reportedly have a longitudinally mounted engine and all-wheel drive.
50th Anniversary Porsche 911 vs. Jaguar F-Type Coupe is a battle of beauty, brawn
Fri, 13 Jun 2014There can't really be a loser between the Jaguar F-Type Coupe R and the Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Edition. One might be better than the other, but if you're behind the wheel of either of them, you can't complain. In a new video, Motor Trend takes on the difficult task of determining which one of these European powerhouses is the best, not just in terms of raw performance, but also how they actually feel to drive.
The Porsche 911 is one of the perennial favorites of the motoring world. It just doesn't go away and always seems capable of challenging the top vehicles in its class. In this video, Motor Trend takes a look at the 50th Anniversary Edition model that celebrates that heritage while boosting power somewhat over the standard version.
The F-Type Coupe is an incredibly masculine car, MT describing it as "a British Corvette." The coupe's exterior lines are tautly stretched over its athletic body, and it's supercharged 5.0-liter V8 sounds like a demon's growl. Jaguar seems to have things right with its latest sports car.
Evo makes the case for the world's best driving road in Majorca
Tue, 05 Aug 2014What good is a sports car if you haven't got a great place to drive it? It's a common refrain that we've heard time and time again. But few are as familiar with the problem as they are in the UK, where the number of people, cars on the road and traffic cameras keep growing to conspire against the joy of driving. Leave it to Evo, then, to depart in search of the greatest driving road in the world.
It's a pursuit that's taken the British car mag across Europe, most recently to Romania's Carpathian Mountains where it added the Transalpina Pass to its short list. But its latest journey has taken Evo to the Spanish island of Majorca, where Henry Catchpole found not one, but two spectacular driving roads from behind the wheel of the new Porsche Boxster GTS. We could drone on about the smooth, empty ribbons of twisting tarmac with excellent visibility and panoramic vistas... but you really want to see the video for yourself. Don't miss Evo's previous trip to Romania in the Jaguar F-Type, which we've included below, as well.
