VIN: 460900

Color Code: 6607 Sand Beige

Engine Number: 753076

Exterior: This car has been repainted a beautiful Marine Blue. The overall paint job is very nice and is very presentable. The previous owner also removed the rear Porsche lettering and 912 emblems prior to painting the car. In 2009 this car received all new rubber moldings and gaskets. This car is a solid chassis, however it has had rust repair in the past. The passenger and driver side floor panels have been replaced. It was involved in a fender bender accident in 2013. The damage was done to one of the front fenders and front bumper.  A replacement bumper and fender were installed. The front bumper could be use an adjustment.

Interior: The interior of this car is in very nice shape. It comes with 2 sets of seats. One set is installed and they are factory Porsche sport seats which are very comfortable. The second set of seats is the original low backs which are also in excellent shape.  The interior panels are the new RS light weight door panels. The rear seats have been redone as well. Real genuine leather was used on the seats, door and side panels. The gauges are all in excellent shape work properly.  This car has a new carpet set that is also in very nice shape.

Engine/Transmission/Mechanicals: This is a very solid strong running car. It still retains its original numbers matching engine. It starts right up and revs smoothly. It is fitted with a smooth shifting 4spd transmission. There was quite a bit of work done in 2009 to the car. New starter, new fuel pump, new wires, plugs, filter, new shift bushing, new rear main seal and oil switch, refurbished throttle linkage, etc. This has been a very well maintained car.

Wheels: This car is fitted with real Porsche polished Fuchs 16” alloys. They have good tires on them and they are all matching.

Overall: This is an excellent chance to get into a SWB 912. These have gotten very hard to come by and this car looks sharp. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to phone me at 925.876.1281 or email me.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class leads this month's list of discounts

Mon, Jul 19 2021

Like last month, the biggest discounts car buyers will find on new vehicles are all applied to expensive luxury sedans. Unlike last month when there were two, there isn't a single Rolls-Royce to be found anywhere in the top five. Sorry, one-percenters. But just because the pinnacle of European luxury isn't represented doesn't mean there aren't big discounts to be found on lovely luxury sedans. In fact, this month's list is led by the 2020 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, a technological wonder that coddles its driver and passengers with all the bells and whistles the German brand has to offer. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is offered in many shapes and sizes with several powertrain options. That means there will be a huge variance in prices across the model range, but on average, 2020 S-Class buyers are seeing $11,803 lopped off the car's $109,447 sticker price, leaving an average transaction price of $97,644. That's a savings of nearly 11%. It's worth noting that there's a new S-Class for 2021, but the 2020 edition is still a lovely machine. Up next is the Porsche Taycan, sitting in second place just like it did last month. Buyers are seeing average sticker prices of $125,736 but are paying $113,938. That's a savings of $11,798 — or about 9.4% — off the price on the window sticker. As was the case last month, we're not sure how many of the Taycan's buyers will be able to claim tax rebates due to the Taycan's status as an electric vehicle, but that could potentially represent a further cut off the car's sticker. Rounding out the top three for the month of July is the Maserati Ghibli. With an average discount of $10,161 that represents a whopping 14.3% of the car's sticker price, this Italian luxury sedan actually leads the list of vehicle discounts when ranked by percentage. And if you're a Maserati fan but the Ghibli isn't your cup of espresso, the Levante crossover and larger Quattroporte sedan are also seeing very large discounts. Porsche 912 is no longer the brand's black sheep

Fri, Dec 12 2014

If you haven't looked recently, prices for many vintage Porsche 911s are now well out of the realm for mortal men to purchase. However, the growing values have their advantages because they mean that the 912 is being better accepted as a member of the Porsche family. In a new video, Petrolicious talks to one owner about his mildly modified example while the coupe zips through the backroads and city streets of France. Launched around the time of the 911, the 912 shared its body but retained the four-cylinder engine from the 356, rather than the new six. The older mill helped make the 912 cheaper to buy, but it also tarnished the coupe in the eyes of Porsche fans for years. Much like the four-cylinder 914 and 924, the 912 just seemed like a black sheep in the shadow of its more powerful brother. Following two massive changes to his life, Julien Borne bought a 1967 912 as a project to get back on the road. After hours of welding, wrenching and beating out panels by hand in his grandparents' neglected country house, he crafted this gorgeous example. Check out the video to hear his story, as Petrolicious shows why the model's stigma is wearing off.

2015 Porsche Boxster GTS [w/video]

Thu, 22 May 2014

You know the sound: the startling pop-brraaap-pop-pop shotgun fire of unspent flammables coursing through exhaust pipes that usually signals a raw, naughty powerplant beneath the hood.
But when you're nestled in the Porsche Boxster GTS' snug seats, it's not a crackling small block V8 or a high-strung Italian flat crank making the devilish racket, but rather the new king of the Boxster/Cayman lineup, a 3.4-liter flat-six that produces 330 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque.
Within the emotional vacuum of a spec sheet, the Boxster GTS' pumped-up grunt seems pretty mild, with a gain of only 15 hp and 7 lb-ft, respectively. But the reworked acoustical experience goes a long way towards suggesting the GTS has a trace of racing blood in its veins, and might even be missing its catalytic converters. In addition to the sonorous, centrally positioned tailpipes, the cabin also fills with lovely mechanical strains thanks to the "Sound Symposer" acoustical amplifier that's trickled down into the Boxster/Cayman lineup from the 911 for the first time. Boxster S, we hardly knew ya.
