Turbo Body, Beautiful Custom Champagne Pearl Paint, Custom Fiske Wheels on 2040-cars
Middletown, Rhode Island, United States
This is one of the last air cooled Porsches produced, there are not many in this condition. I bought this car in California so I know it has never seen snow or any adverse conditions, I take it out on sunny days and the rest of the time it is in storage, and that's the problem not enough sunny days .... The car has been serviced regularly, even when in storage for extended periods of time. This car is in excellent condition both inside and out. Garage Kept, Meticulously cared for and freshly detailed. The beautiful custom Champagne Pearl paint makes this car stand out wherever you go, a real head turner. This is truly one of the best classic Porsches around today.. The car was just tuned and serviced, motor runs great and pulls strongly. An AutoThority Mass Air Flow Sensor was installed and upgraded chip giving the car an extra 25bhp - 35bhp. I just had a compression test done and passed with flying colors. Fitted with Beautiful Custom 3 piece 17" Fiske alloy wheels, front tires are very good, rear tires should be replaced soon, The car just came out of storage after 3 years and just passed RI inspection. Buyer is responsible for shipping. |

The exotic '80s: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus and the Porsche 959
Thu, Apr 9 2015There's no secret that we are big fans of the MotorWeek Retro Review series around here. In an automotive world that often focuses on the latest tech and what's coming in the future, it's refreshing to take a look into the past to get a new perspective. That said, the show is really outdoing itself this time by posting a full episode from the '80s to YouTube, complete with the original, jazzy opening. The video is an absolute standout, too, with drives of some of the best supercars that Europe could offer at the time. Among the now classic sportscars that MotorWeek got to drive are the Ferrari 328, Lotus Esprit Turbo, Lamborghini Jalpa and Autokraft AC Mark IV. There's even a preview that sings the praises of the tech in the Porsche 959. The episode is basically a showcase of most of the exotics from young enthusiasts' walls and school folders during the '80s and is not to be missed. Porsche continues facelift spree with 911 Turbo
Fri, 24 Jan 2014If there's ever been automotive case for constant evolution, it is the Porsche 911. It seems like every time a new version of the rear-engined sports car debuts, Porsche is already hard at work on a facelifted version of it that changes some subtle, barely noticeable aspect.
Such is the case with this round of images of a facelifted 911 Turbo, which was seen undergoing winter testing alongside the facelifted, hardtop-version of the 911 Cabriolet we showed you yesterday. The new, 991-based 911 Turbo was just unveiled in May of 2013.
Like the Cabrio from yesterday, both the Turbo and naturally aspirated models shown here feature additional slats at the rear of the car, right behind the rear wheels. These slats on the standard model lend credence to what we learned yesterday - that even the regular 911 models could end up getting turbocharged mills.
