1976 Porsche 911S Signature Edition
For your consideration is this very rare and sought after 911S F.A. Porsche Signature Edition with only 84,671 original and documented miles. This Signature Edition is one of approximately 200 units ever produced, making it even more rare than the 400 unit Weissach Edition of 1980.
This beauty is a numbers matching example as per the Certificate of Authenticity.
Simply put this car is in perfect condition, no scratches, no dents, no rust. Most of the interior has been professionally redone. All of the mechanicals are up to date...this car is show quality.
-Exterior-
The body is in outstanding condition, it is simply perfect, there is not a single scratch, dent or spot of rust on the car. Last year this rust free car was completely disassembled (windows, hood, doors, decklid, bumpers, valances, seals, etc....pretty much everything not welded to the car was removed), stripped down to the bare metal and repainted the correct 944-9-3 Platinum Diamond Metallic (PLATINDIAMANT MET).
Structurally this car is solid, there is absolutely NO rust in the usual places such as the trunk, battery tray and floors. I will gladly send over additional pictures of the underbody for those interested, simply me a message.
The car is further complimented by the original “Cookie Cutter” wheels which are in outstanding condition.
All the glass is nice and clear with no scratches or hazing. Tires are practically brand new, with approximately 95+% of the tread remaining.
Everything in the car works 100% including all gauges and accessories.
-Interior-
The interior is in perfect condition, including the seats (the front seats have been recently professionally reupholstered), carpets are brand new original style cashmere Sliverknit the headliner is also brand new and the door panels and pockets are in very good original condition. The car spent it’s entire life in an enclosed garage so there is no sun damage...the dash, rear parcel shelf as well as the rest of the interior are in perfect condition.
-Engine & Transmission-
The engine is in outstanding mechanical condition, the 2.7 power plant is perfectly tuned, starts right up on the first try each and every time, idles smoothly and runs as strong as it did when it was new.
This machine does not burn or leak a drop of oil. Standard upgrades have been done including the installation of Carrera style oil fed chain tensioners, head studs, an 11-blade cooling fan, Euro style pre-muffler, turbo valve covers as well as a K&N air filter.
The transmission shifts seamlessly through the gears with no slipping or grinding. There are no strange noises or vibrations from the engine or drive train, all you hear is the music of the flat six engine. The ride in this 911 is great, there are no squeaks, rattles or other unwanted noises, the car drives straight and true...there is nothing indicating this car is over 36 years old!
This 911 is free on any liens is ready for a new home.

Pininfarina teases its Tesla- and Bugatti-baiting EV supercar
Tue, Jul 10 2018Pininfarina isn't being bashful when it comes to getting into the car business. The Italian design house has revealed a sketch of the PF0 Concept, an electric supercar aimed directly at the world's fastest and most expensive vehicles. With upward of 1,000 horsepower, along with an expected price in the millions of dollars, this extreme EV is meant as a calling card for Pininfarina's upcoming range of electric cars and SUVs. So should the likes of Tesla, Porsche, Ferrari, Bugatti and Lamborghini be worried? Pininfarina might be new to building its own cars, but the company has many decades of experience designing and engineering some of the most desirable cars of all time — including many of the finest supercars to have worn a Ferrari badge on their nose. As we reported earlier this year, Pininfarina has teamed with Indian auto manufacturer, Mahindra, to develop a range of high-end EVs. With this roughly $500 million investment, not to mention some engineering help from Croatian supercar manufacturer, Rimac, Pininfarina aims to start high. The company will first introduce a hypercar, based on the PF0 Concept, within two years, then bring along a range of more affordable electric cars and SUVs. These will more directly take on the likes of Porsche Cayenne, Lamborghini Urus, and Tesla Model X. So yes, if you're in the business of building expensive cars, especially ones with a lot of batteries positioned inside them, Pininfarina's plans for the PF0 (that's a zero, not the letter "O," by the way) should make you sit up and take notice. "Automobili Pininfarina is a pioneering new business created to service the most discerning clients in the world," said Michael Perschke, CEO for Automobili Pininfarina. "Our product portfolio will launch with an innovative, zero-emissions hypercar that represents the progression we aim to make at the pinnacle of the luxury and sports car market." According to its press release, Pininfarina is currently presenting its "business and product plans to prospective retailer partners, clients and media in New York this week." After its tour of the Big Apple, look for Pininfarina to officially reveal the PF0 Concept during Monterey Car Week in August. Gary Cooper's 1935 Duesenberg SSJ fetches record price at Pebble Beach
Mon, Aug 27 2018The 1935 Duesenberg SSJ formerly owned by Gary Cooper sold for a jaw-dropping $22 million over the weekend at the Gooding & Co. Pebble Beach auction, setting a record for the most valuable pre-war car ever sold at auction. It also appears to have become the most expensive American collector car ever sold at auction, eclipsing the very first Shelby Cobra ever made, which sold for $13.75 million in 2016. The Duesenberg was also the lone American-made entrant in the list of top 10 sellers, which was crowded with the names Ferrari and Porsche. You have to go all the way down the list to No. 21 to find the next American car: a 1930 Packard 734 Speedster Phaeton, which sold for a mere $1.127 million. All told, Gooding & Co. said it realized more than $116.5 million in auction sales over the weekend, with a whopping 25 cars sold for north of $1 million, an 84 percent sales rate and an average transaction price of $947,174. Clearly this is how the other half 1 percent lives. Gooding & Co. said there were five world-record sales at the auction. Joining the Duesenberg were a 1955 Ferrari 500 Mondial Series II, which sold for $5.005 million; a 1958 Ferrari 250 GT Tour de France Berlinetta, $6.6 million; a 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC Speciale, $3.41 million; and a one-of-two 1966 Ferrari Dino Berlinetta GT, $3.08 million. Oh, and that 1969 Ford Bronco test vehicle we told you about? The one that was rebadged by Holman & Moody as a Bronco Hunter? It sold for $121,000, which was well below the expected range of $180,000 to $220,000. Perhaps it was the presence of all those gorgeous Porsche Spyders and Ferraris that meant collectors weren't interested in boxy, utilitarian off-roaders. View 24 Photos Gooding and Co. had expected the convertible Duesenberg coupe to go for more than $10 million. It was one of only two of its kind built by Duesenberg — the other having gone to Clark Gable — with a specially shortened, 125-inch wheelbase and a supercharged straight-eight with double overhead cams, able to produce around 400 horsepower and a top speed of 140 miles per hour. It features a lightweight open-roadster bobtail body produced by LaGrande out of Connersville, Ind. The car was also owned at one point by race driver Briggs Cunningham.
Paul Walker's accident due to 'speed, and speed alone'
Thu, 19 Dec 2013Following an investigation into the crash that killed Fast and Furious star Paul Walker and driver Roger Rodas, an unnamed law enforcement source told the Associated Press that there were no signs of mechanical failure on the Porsche Carrera GT that was destroyed in the accident.
The report from The Huffington Post claims the officer in question blamed "speed, and speed alone" in the fatal accident. The same report ruled out the presence of debris in the road, which may have caused Rodas to lose control of the V10-powered super car.
Engineers from Porsche are traveling to California to investigate the accident with the help of the Carrera GT's on-board data recorder. Until then, investigators won't speculate on the car's speed at the time of the wreck.
