BODY:

This Porsche was disassembled and many parts were cleaned or replaced. The car windows and hoods were removed and the body began a professionall body & paint restoration. The car was restored to the original Porsche India Red. I assembled the Porsche piece by piece, slowly and correctly. I detailed replaced, refurbished as many parts and screws as possible

The front fog lights were restored new glass and light bulbs installed.

New washer nozzles and hood emblem were added to the body along with complete sunroof, bumpers seals, headlight rings seals a new windshield and rubber seal installed. I Repainted black trim, wipers, front vent and window trim with the factory Wurth product.

4 new hood shocks were installed to keep up the hoods.

INTERIOR:

I removed everything… seats, door panels, upper and lower dash, and carpet.

I installed brand new carpet while the complete interior was being Restored professionally in leather look. (black.)

The steering wheel was also recover in black leather and the Factory look headliner completed.

Upgraded Stereo:

Kenwood stereo with a pair of matching Kenwood speakers.

WHEELS/ TIRES:

Complete restoration, polish & paint to factory look by Al Reed

Lug nuts polished by Al Reed

Kumoh Tires 225/50 16  * 205/55/16 Plenty of tire left. (No cracking)

The Porsche speedometer reads 190k the rebuild and restoration was completed 6 years ago and has accumulated about 25,00 miles since. She is sold as is. The car has always been garaged. It has some road rash from being driven and one door ding courtesy of a gravel truck other than that the paint looks INCREDIBLE It shines and is slippery to the touch from all the waxing.

She just had her major servicing in 2011 installing new valve cover gasket plugs, air and oil filters drive belt, motor oil and one oil line.

I have PAGES of receipts documenting the work, just the engine rebuild was $7,200! I also have the factory service books.

I have built a few cars and bought a few cars. Id say the best way to buy one is after someone else has spent all the money!  Here it is.

Driving the Panamera and Mike's Rant | Autoblog Podcast #487

Thu, Sep 8 2016

This week we cover some recent news like the upcoming Land Rover Discovery, updates to FCA's large car platform (including the Challenger), and talk about water injection. Then we go into what we've been driving - David just finished his time in the Porsche Panamera Turbo and Mike tried the GMC Acadia. And then Mike (who is still uncomfortable writing in the third person) goes on a rant about why automakers shouldn't specify which cars are aimed at women. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want questionable buying advice, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. What is the fastest car in the world in 2024?

Sat, Jun 15 2024

It wasn't that long ago that the notion of reaching 200 miles per hour in a car, on a road, seemed basically impossible. As you likely know by now, that time has passed. And once that threshold was crossed, the automotive world immediately began eying the next triple-digit benchmark: 300 miles per hour. It may have taken a little while, but the 300-mph line has been crossed, and some cars have moved well past that seemingly insane speed number. While some of these speeds have been achieved in simulations (including the fastest car listed below), there's little doubt that a driver with nerves of steel and a heavy right foot could indeed push several automobiles up to 300 miles per hour and beyond. Interestingly, it’s not just one car or automaker in the 300-mph club, as a handful of models have earned a place (sometimes claimed but not yet demonstrated) on the leaderboard. The fastest car in the world is: Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut (330 MPH) That title goes to the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut, which recorded a staggering 330 mph top speed earlier in 2023. The carÂ’s twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 lays down 1,600 horsepower and 1,106 pound-feet of torque, which plays a significant role in delivering that speed, but KoenigseggÂ’s engineers have given the car a lot more than mind-blowing power. The Jesko Absolut has a super-slippery 0.278 drag coefficient and a nine-speed transmission that shifts so quickly itÂ’s almost imperceptible. Koenigsegg calls it a Light Speed Transmission (LST), saying its shifts happen at almost light speed. While that might be a slight exaggeration, the gearbox is impressive, bringing several wet multi-disc clutches and a super lightweight construction. As Koenigsegg says, "the Jesko Absolut is destined to achieve higher, more extraordinary speeds than any Koenigsegg or any other fully homologated car before it." How expensive is the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut? If you were reading that and wondering how much the fastest car in the world costs, the price tag is just another dizzying number on the Jesko Absolut's spec sheet. All 125 Absolut cars offered sold out at a price of almost $3 million. Of course, being able to afford the Koenigsegg is just the first step in realizing its full potential. There are very few places on the map that can support a 300-plus-mph speed run, and the locations that do are not conveniently located.

Porsche 911 celebrates 50 years of iconic motoring

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

Back in 1963, Porsche debuted the very first 911 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. And over the last 50 years, that coupe has grown to become one of the most iconic sports cars of all time. That in mind, you could easily chalk up this 50th Anniversary model as just one of the many special edition 911s that have graced our roads over the years, but dig a bit deeper and you'll see that this one is far more than just some unique paint and different wheels.
For starters, the 911 50th Anniversary Edition utilizes the wider Carrera 4/4S body, but retains its standard rear-wheel-drive configuration. Power comes from the Carrera S' 3.8-liter flat-six engine, but features a Powerkit upgrade that includes the Sport Chrono package and ups overall output to 400 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. Hitting 60 miles per hour takes just 3.8 seconds if the car is fitted with Porsche's dual-clutch PDK gearbox, or 4.2 seconds if you choose the row-your-own seven-speed manual. Talk about going Over The Hill with a quickness.
Despite looking pretty tame, we're really hot on the appearance of this special 911, with its throwback flat gray paint job and new 20-inch wheels that look remarkably similar to the original Fuchs alloys of the 1963 model. Inside, you'll find green lettering on the instrument displays, white pointer needles and silver accents, and the leather seats have a fabric insert that's similar to the Pepita cloth from the original 911.
