Miami, Florida, United States

I bought the car in May 2013 at 90000mi. I have all the service records since day 1. The car is 100% stock.  It has 98489 miles now.

I babied it and did a lot of repairs, this failure came without warning.

Diagnosed as bad rod bearing by Svoboda Motorsports.  Everything else works.  If you want a project, this is it.  The engine is running but making a big knocking noise. The car is not drivable. Sold as-is, where-is.  Clear FL title is in hand.  No loan, no liens.

Recent maintenance includes:
Rear shocks (Bilstein) and rear sway bar links at 98,000mi, trailing arms all around at 97,000, front lower control arms, inner and outer tie rods at 90,000mi, front shocks (Bilstein) at 81,000mi.
Front rotors at 88,500mi. Rear rotors at 93,000 mi. Pads are half used. I will give an extra set of new front and rear brake pads with the car.
Rear tires at 98,000mi, front at 90,000. Cooper RSA-3 all around.
Transmission oil at 90,000mi . Clutch at 87,000mi.
Spark plugs and air filter at 90,000 miles, water pump at 93,000mi, AOS/RMS/IMS (LN Engineering) in at 96,000mi, Last oil change was at 93300mi, I was ready to do it again and I'll give the new oil filter (Mahle) with the car...
Battery is 2 weeks old (Interstate) as well as the cabin air filter.
Again, I have all the invoices for those repairs.

Car may be picked up at Svoboda Motorsport in Miami, FL.  I live a few miles away and will assist where I can.

Porsche Pajun to go all-electric as Tesla rival

Wed, Jan 28 2015

Porsche has been rumored to be working on a smaller counterpart to the Panamera for nearly four years now, but we have yet to see any sign of the model dubbed Pajun coming to fruition beyond a digital rendering hidden in the background of another Porsche design. Apparently Stuttgart has been having trouble making the business case in an already crowded market segment. But that doesn't mean the project is completely off the table. According to the latest from Germany's own Auto Motor und Sport, Porsche is now planning to launch the so-called Pajun (shorthand for Panamera Junior just like the Macan project was previously called Cajun) purely as an electric vehicle. With an eye evidently fixed on how dedicated hybrids and EVs are gaining traction in the marketplace (to say nothing of actual tarmac), the electric Pajun - almost certain to carry a different name to the showroom – would be different enough to distinguish itself from existing four-doors of that size like the Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5 Series, Audi A6, et al. Word has it that Porsche believes that battery technologies will advance enough over the next four years to give its four-door EV a range of nearly 250 miles on a single charge. The model's arrival would be just the latest in a series of environmental concessions made by the company with the broadest range of plug-in hybrids on the market. Aside from the E-Hybrid versions of the Panamera and Cayenne, Porsche arguably led the charge (so to speak) towards hybrid hypercars with the 918 Spyder, is downsizing many of its engines and is turbocharging almost the entirety of the 911 range.

Porsche 911 GT3 wows the crowds in Geneva

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Porsche has a long and storied history of taking its range-topping 911 sportscar racing, with an enviable record of achievements in tow. The latest machine with which the automaker will take to the track can be seen above: the fifth-generation 2014 911 GT3.
With 475 horsepower strumming through the 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, this is the pinnacle of naturally aspirated performance from Porsche. It can go from 0 to 60 in just 3.3 seconds, hit a top speed of 195 miles per hour and has lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in less than seven and a half minutes.
A dual-clutch PDK transmission (no standard manual gearbox will be offered) with shorter gearing than lesser 911 models sends power to the rear wheels. Providing forward motion isn't the only thing those rear wheels will be doing - Porsche says the 2014 911 GT3 is fitted with the manufacturer's first active rear-wheel steering.

Porsche 911 GT3 dukes it out with MP4-12C on track and GT-R on spectacular roads

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

The Porsche 911 GT3 has always been a favorite among auto journalists and car enthusiasts alike, but with the introduction of the new 991-generation GT3, which is the first GT3 with electric power steering and no manual gearbox option, how does it stack up to the competition from McLaren and Nissan?
Evo's Jethro Bovingdon attempts to answer that question by pitting the rear-engine Porsche against the mid-engine McLaren MP4-12C on a racetrack and the front-engine, all-wheel-drive Nissan GT-R on some amazing, twisty European back roads. We won't give away the victor of either comparison, but we will say that, in Evo's test, the McLaren's 141-horsepower advantage doesn't give it as much of an edge over the Porsche on a racetrack as one might think, and the lack of a manual gearbox and the inclusion of electric power steering on the GT3 isn't detrimental to enjoying the car on a back road.
Watch the video below to find out which car Bovingdon prefers on road and track - we think you'll be happy to see him drift around turns every chance he gets.
