1977 Porsche 911 SC, 95,200 miles. Car was sitting for some time when I bought it. I bought the Car from a lady that said her and her husband bought the car in 2005 from California and drove it back. The car had California plates and some receipts from California in it.When i bought it we removed the motor and most seals were replaced and the engine was cleaned before being re installed. The engine does not smoke and runs very strong and the tranny shifts great. Car is in good condition, it is not a show car but a very nice presentable driver. Car was repainted some time ago and color was changed from green to maroon, the only place you can even tell is in the motor compartment and even then it’s very hard to find. The body is very straight although there is one dent under the passenger door where the paint has come off. The rear bumper valance has a dent and scratch but you can’t see it unless you bend down (see pictures). The car is rust free with upgraded sport seats in very good condition, carpets are in decent condition, and the targa top is in good condition. The dash has cracks from California sun, the back deck has some sun damage, and the door panels are in alright condition. Car has an upgraded rear sway bar, upgraded 16 in wheels with tons of tread on tires. Previous owner provided receipts from California for $2000 of recent work to install Pop off value , a new sound pad, newer fuel tank, new fuel pump and fuel injection pump. Car has older konis on it and still handles like an older 911. It is a great, fun little car ready for a new home. I have several Porsches in our family this one has to go.

2014 Porsche Cayman S
Thu, 29 Aug 2013Second Fiddle Moves To First Chair
In the interest of full disclosure and a bit of bloodletting, allow me to admit that while I've always coveted the Porsche Boxster and its hard-hatted Cayman cousin, I've never really warmed to them visually. They've always had a certain push-me, pull-you, can't-decide-which-way-they're-going aesthetic that I've never really wrapped my head around. Porsche achieved the same thing with the original 550 Spyder's overturned bathtub bodyshell that would come to inspire the Boxster, but somehow that classic's even more symmetrical nature works for me. Fast-forward to this third generation, and at least for this enthusiast, Porsche's manchild has well and truly come of age as a design.
It's all there - a piercing stare thanks to squircle headlamps inspired by the 918 Spyder hypercar, newfound directional thrust afforded by a longer wheelbase and elongated greenhouse, and muscular rear haunches with a wider stance emphasized by larger side ductwork and snubbed overhangs. The body's teardrop shape terminates with an active spoiler that integrates into a gorgeous arc with the taillamps like a budding ducktail nod to 1973 911 Carrera RS. Despite casting a longer shadow than its predecessor, the 2014 Cayman still looks tidily proportioned, smooth and wieldy, the perfect skipping stone to ricochet down a canyon river road.
24 Hours of Le Mans an on-and-off love affair
Mon, 24 Jun 2013There was little usual about this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans - intermittent rain in the weeks before the race meant cars didn't get on track as much as they wanted, and intermittent rain during the race meant cars went off track a lot more than they wanted. The race started with a wet track, and one of the records broken because of the random downpours was the number of times the safety car led the field - 11 times this year - although the record of two hours and 53 minutes of lapping behind the safety car, set in 2011, was not eclipsed.
None of that served to dampen the action. With little more than an hour left in the race there were cars still only a few seconds apart fighting for position, leads still changing because of pit stops and everyone drafting anyone they could.
Things didn't go the usual way up front, either - well, not exactly...
Jaguar F-Type squares off against Porsche 911, Aston V8 Vantage with Chris Harris
Fri, 21 Jun 2013Chris Harris is back on the job, taking on really really difficult car questions like: Which enormously sexy and good-to-drive, high-performance convertible is the top of the heap? As one of the hottest cars in the luxury space right now, the Jaguar F-Type S is, of course, in on the action. Competition comes in the form of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster and the Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet. Sun-loving CEOs who despise test-driving need look no further.
Scroll on below for a fully featured (with a running time of more than 20 minutes) comparison video. Harris does his best to entertain - in a typically nitpicky and made-up-British-words fashion - and the moving pictures are lovely to look at. Kick back, pour a pint and get your weekend started off right.
