I have a 1977 Porsche 911s that I have been rebuilding for 3 years now. This is a metal front and rear wide body car! Clean title, 140k miles. It still needs a couple things done like the convertible top (I have the new kit just need it installed) and transmission rebuild. This car has just been stripped and painted professionally (over $5k cost) along with a new interior. I have not driven the car yet, it has been sitting in the garage. I have a 1982 that needs an engine rebuild and frankly I do not have time to finish both projects. When I state this car has been totally redone I mean it, this car has not been driven down the street since its rebuild. Power windows work, gauges work expect main RPM gauge which I installed a new rpm gauge where the clock goes. Brand new windshield and seal, new floor mats, windshield wipers need to be looked at as well. New wipers, front new hood emblem, new hood shocks (front and rear), clean title. Comes with original tool set kit, documentation, receipts and pictures. This car was originally modified to a widebody by The Prestine Porsche in Huntington Beach and given restoration number 0051 (tag is on car showing it). Not one scratch on this car you have to see it to appreciate it, windshield is brand spanking new as well along with brand new seats installed (power seats). If you are local and would like to come see the car please let me know and we can set something up.
I have a video of the car running and I cannot put the video link up because ebay will not let me so shoot me a message with your email and I can send the link. 2.7 liter motor Magnaflow straight exhaust Custom made metal rear bumper New Stereo with auxiliary to IPOD New Starter New Plugs, wires, cap New fog lights Front NEW cross drilled rotors MSD Box New front windshield and seal New front seats (never used) New floor mats New paint 18" 4S wheels (8" in front 10" in rear) New front and rear wheel spacers New brakes New emblems ALL NEW SEALS (door handle, side mirror, headlight ring seals) Rebuilt Calipers (freshly painted red) Brake lines flushed New backup light sensors New bushings at pedal assembly Pop off valve New front and rear hood shocks New belt New valve cover seals New Convertible top (not installed yet) comes with purchase Brighter headlights New fog lights (not wired) Front Bridgestone tires are in good shape , rear Bridgestone tires have about 40% left 295/30/18 Please not this car turns on and runs beautifully. The transmission might need a rebuild an the convertible top still needs to be done (I have the new one). The car has no back registration/tax and has never been registered , I have all the paperwork to do so. On Sep-17-14 at 09:44:32 PDT, seller added the following information: New Bump Steer Kit was installed Rear metal bumper was custom built to have magnaflow exhaust go thru it. Car does not have the cat converter or O2 sensor Please Note: This car runs perfectly and drives well, I have driven it around the neighborhood a couple times but since I dont have registration on it I can go anywhere far. The reason I stated the transmission will need to be rebuilt eventually is the gears sometimes stick and dont go into place. I will take a video of the car driving when I get home today. Thank you |

Topiary Joe sculpts the ultimate in green cars
Sat, Mar 15 2014Efficient cars are all the rage these days, but Joe Kyte has made a business of crafting some of the coolest green cars around – literally. Kyte is better known by his nickname Topiary Joe, and in addition to being a talented artist, he is also a real gearhead. Kyte has been creating topiaries for the last 20 years. It began when he was marketing greenhouse products to Walt Disney World and saw their plant sculptures. He realized that he could do that and since then, has done around 3,400 pieces. His most intriguing creations are the rolling sculptures that move and turn. Prices for those start at about $18,000 and can be as high as $30,000. While, the wheels are machine-bent, Kyte said all the other parts are done with a table vice and a Lincoln Electric arc welder. Topiary Joe is taking the Porsche (pictured above) to Palm Beach later this year to sell or says he may donate it to Porsche North America. If you really want it, the sculpture is currently on Craigslist for sale for $24,000. Topiary Joe has also had a life-long love of cars. "I was driving my first MG Midget before I was 14," he told Autoblog. He grew up in Oak Ridge, TN, where the Manhattan Project was partially developed. He says the town was full of recent college grads driving Mercedes, and he caught the bug. His automotive mentor was a nuclear physicist who taught him to repair and restore the Mercs. Kyte has completed commissions for Sandals Resort, Dreamworks, Absolut, and many more. Among his favorite creations is the Ferrari that he created at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix that is now exhibited at the airport each year before the race. Check out his website for a wider look at his work.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom leads this month's list of discounts
Wed, Jun 16 2021Every month, we take a look at vehicle sales data in America to pick out the vehicles with the largest monetary discount. Usually, the list is dominated by high-performance two-door luxury sports cars. This month is different. Much to our surprise, the 2020 Rolls-Royce Phantom stands above all others with an average discount of $18,588 off the price quoted on its window sticker. Now, it bears mentioning that an $18,000-plus discount still only represents 3.46% of its $537,500 average retail price, and that the resulting $518,912 cost to drive off the showroom floor still makes the Phantom an extremely expensive range-topping luxury sedan. Still, even very wealthy people won't snicker at that kind of savings. Up next is another unlikely newcomer to the biggest-discount chart: the 2020 Porsche Taycan. The electric super sedan's average sticker price of $152,250 is cut to $135,707 after a discount of $16,453 is lopped off. That represents a savings of nearly 11%. We can't say how many of the Taycan's buyers over the last month will be able to claim tax rebates due to the Taycan's status as an electric vehicle, but that could potentially represent a further cut off the car's sticker. Rounding out the top three is the 2020 Maserati Quattroporte. Buyers of this Italian luxury sedan are saving an average of $13,839 for an average transaction price of $87,646. We normally only share the top three, but this month's list is interesting enough that we'll share some more. In fourth and fifth place are the 2020 Mercedes-Benz S-Class (with an average $13,239 discount) and the 2021 BMW 7 Series (with an average $12,435 discount) followed by the 2020 Rolls-Royce Wraith — interestingly enough also with a savings of 3.46% — and the 2020 Maserati Levante and Ghibli.
