Porsche 911 Gt3 With Rs, Exclusive, And 997.2 Gt3 Upgrades on 2040-cars
Omaha, Nebraska, United States
Due to a overwhelming number of inquiries on the Porsche forums, this stunning, one
of a kind 911 GT3 is being listed here. This is a one owner vehicle. It is beautifully finished in Slate Metallic with matching painted wheels, and ceramic brakes (PCCB). Other options it was delivered with include the Xenon Headlamp Package, Full Leather/Alcantara Interior, PCM, Sound Package Plus, and Sport Chrono Plus. Further, over $50,000 worth of meticulously chosen components have been installed, and the results are spectacular! This includes performance modifications like the GT3 RS single-mass flywheel components, the Akrapovic Evolution Race Exhaust System, and GMG Racing World Challenge Suspension Components. And,
it includes Porsche Exclusive components like the leather wrapped steering
column, full leather sun-visors without airbag labels, the leather
extended dash package, carbon fiber and leather air conditioning vents, and
carbon fiber door spears. Other Porsche components in the interior include the carbon fiber package, carbon fiber center console, illuminated carbon fiber door sills ("GT3 RS"), carbon fiber and alcantara shift knob, carbon fiber and alcantara handbrake ("GT3"), alcantara GT3 RS steering wheel with yellow marker, yellow seat belts, and the alcantara center console lid ("Porsche"). There is a host of MACarbon parts that compliment the OEM Porsche interior parts perfectly, along with Rennline aluminum pedals, track mats, and floorboards. OE Porsche carpet floor mats are included as well. Further, it is fitted with the 997.2 GT3 alcantara lower dash, and the OEM 997.2 GT3 rear bumper with clear LED tail lights. The rear bumper was changed solely for the upgraded look. No expense was spared with the rear bumper; it has all of the proper heat shields, mounting points, and hardware: making it a $8,000 conversion. Nav-TV iPod connection, bluetooth streaming music, and phone integration for PCM are fitted as well. There are some components I did not mention and others I did not go into detail about, so please message me if you would like a spreadsheet detailing all of the components. Please note: any stock part that was replaced by a component listed above/in the spreadsheet is not included with the purchase. The stock exhaust, suspension components, bumper, etc. are not included. Passing a smog test in your state with the Akrapovic Evolution Race System could present a problem. Carfax is clean, no accidents, but the front bumper was replaced when my nephew dented it in the garage, and the replacement deck lid/wing and the upgraded rear bumper are not original paint. They are all Porsche parts, and were installed and painted by Porsche of Omaha. The paint is in excellent condition, aside from some minor chips in the front bumper and in the door jams. This GT3 has seen 8 track days. It is as tight and mechanically sound as they come; Porsche of Omaha has performed all modifications and maintenance. The DME report is excellent. Zero over revs in ranges 3 through 6. Please message me and I will send it over. The rear main seal has been replaced and a very common coolant leak issue has been permanently fixed. It just received its 40k mile major service ahead of schedule, and is ready to run like new upon purchase! There is a very small hairline crack in the carbon center console near the ashtray on the passenger side (barely noticable). Also, there is a chip in the driver's side carbon fiber door sill, and the left bolster on the driver's seat is showing some wear. Other than that, the interior is in excellent condition. The GT3 is a incredible machine, and this special example takes its performance and beauty to new levels. Purchase with confidence; you will love this machine! Offers are welcomed, and please see my listings for a few other awesome parts that were fitted to this GT3. Feel free to contact me with a offer for the car and part(s) together. I am able to help with trades, financing, and shipping as well! |

10 most memorable cars and SUVs of 2019
Tue, Dec 24 2019It's no surprise that a car reviewer will drive a large number of cars over the course of a year. Indeed, when the clock strikes midnight on Dec 31, I will have driven 75 new cars, trucks and SUV this year (and one old Peugeot) over the course of weekly evaluation loans and first drive events. That sure seems like a lot. Some definitely got more attention than others, and some came and went without leaving much of an impression – I completely forgot I drove a Kia Forte. Yet in the spirit of this day, I thought I'd pick the 10 that I would love to see under the Christmas tree tomorrow morning. You know, just in case you were looking to get me something. I'll also throw in a couple disappointments that were memorable for the wrong reasons. They'd get sent back to the store on Boxing Day. Lexus LC 500 Pictured below and resplendent in its Flare Yellow metallic paint, the car that would reach highest on my list is the divine Lexus LC 500. As a devout lover of GT cars, the LC ticks all the boxes. Muscular and characterful engine? V8, check. Beautifully made and memorable interior? It's gorgeous, to hell with Remote Touch. Check. Comfortable and reasonably practical? Superb seats and, uh, yeah. Makes me want to stand there and stare at it? You bet. Though I long figured my heart would say LC but my head "Porsche 911," after this go-around, that's no longer the case. LC, pretty please. 2020-lexus-lc500-f34-2 View 19 Photos Polestar 1 I actually feel lucky that I got to drive the Polestar 1. Only 150 will be produced each year, and it's a far more special thing than it would initially appear. And that's despite initially appearing to be a beautiful, classic two-door GT car with a roof so rakish it's only possible because it's made of carbon fiber. That itÂ’s a massively powerful plug-in hybrid with more all-electric range than any other PHEV is a thick dollop of whipped cream on a slice of Toscakaka. You know, Swedish dessert, Swedish car. Fine, I'll stick to Ikea references. Polestar1_Launch_SanFrancisco-0014 View 44 Photos Volvo V60 Cross Country Speaking of Sweden, did I drive this car off the road there? Sure did! And despite this, the V60 Cross Country scratches that certain wagon itch and looks sensational to boot. I wish it were available with the T8 plug-in hybrid powertrain, but it's best not to get greedy at Christmas.
Watch this Koenigsegg CCX hit 211 mph on a runway, outpacing McLaren's P1
Tue, 03 Jun 2014Vmax200 in in England organizes events where those who care to show up with a supercar can run them down the two-mile runway at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground. Evo attended the latest event, bringing an impressively green Lamborghini Aventador to test its girth and gaping vents against other precious metals like the McLaren P1 and F1, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and Enzo, a Porsche Carrera GT and enough 911 Turbos to start a dealership. Speaking of those Porsches, nine of the top ten slots in the top speed competition are claimed by modified 911 Turbos.
A monochrome Swede ruled them all, though, a black-and-white Koenigsegg CCX setting fire to the speed trap run after run, hitting 211 miles per hour at its quickest. It was followed by, surprise, a 911 GT2 modified by 9E that did 210 mph. You can watch the EVO video below, GT Spirit has a bigger breakdown of the day, and we've included another vid showing the tandem launch of the CCX and McLaren F1.
Porsche still deciding on one or two new 911 plug-in hybrids
Tue, May 29 2018Back in March, Porsche CEO Oliver Blume told Autocar that the coming Porsche 911 plug-in hybrid "will be the most powerful 911 we've ever had." That quote portended a 992-series 911 with 700 horsepower or more. A new report in Auto Express, however, suggests Porsche is having energetic debates about just what the 911's hybrid strategy will be, and that the only agreed-upon plug-in hybrid 911 so far is a milder version to sit in the middle of the range. Putting all our rumors in a row, in January, Automobile reported on an electrically-assisted 911 with 485 hp and 561 pound-feet of torque. The new AE piece effectively endorses that, saying the mid-range hybrid would follow the program established by the all-wheel drive Cayenne e-Hybrid that produces a combined 455 hp and 516 lb-ft. The 911 would naturally use a flat-six instead of the Cayenne's 3.0-liter V6, and the sports car would be tuned for better sound response and sharper reflexes. AE says fuel economy for this hybrid should be at least 80 eMPG, with emissions of less than 80 grams per kilometer. The current base Carrera is currently rated at a maximum 38.2 mpg in the UK, with minimum emissions of 169 g/km. The hybrid, fitted with a double-clutch gearbox and Porsche's mechanical all-wheel-drive system, could run from a stop to 62 miles per hour in less than four seconds, making it more efficient than a base Carrera and much faster than a Carrera 4S. AE says there remains only "the potential for Porsche to add a second, more powerful hybrid 911," and says its sources claim that's what's "causing the most consternation behind closed doors." This one would be the twin-turbocharged, 700-hp beastie that, as a series production car, would have a hard time not usurping the 540-hp Turbo, 580-hp Turbo S, and 607-hp Turbo S Exclusive. True, the hybrid would be handicapped with a 550-pound battery pack, but the instant acceleration and handling benefits of electric AWD — with no connection between the axles — could provide the final edge over the other three. As such, it makes sense that there'd be a whole lot of debate about a flagship 911 hybrid. On the other hand, such a monster seems like an eventuality in view of Porsche's electrified aspirations, the lessons gained from the 918 Hybrid and the 919 Hybrid Le Mans racer, and the fact that CEO Blume has already spoken. The Stuttgart carmaker expects a sales mix of 25 percent electric, 25 percent hybrid, and 50 percent conventional powertrains by 2025.
