Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Convertable on 2040-cars
Lowell, Massachusetts, United States
I have a 2003 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 convertible with only 59,921 miles. The car has a clean car fax, never in an accident and only 2 owners. Auto check rated the car (average 88-92) at 93 for way above average condition. The car has always been maintained and the IMS retrofit has been completed (cost $10,000 for repair). The Porsche has a new convertible top, inside top panel and window motors. All factory maintenance has been performed and car drives great with no rattles or squeaks. Interior and exterior both look great! Just replaced all new Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires (top rated !) , new wiper blades and rear trunk piston ($1,200). I have all owners manuals and 2 keys for the car. ** Porsche will also come with new factory floor mats still in plastic wrap and a car cover with locks. Hard top for Porsche also available. Come down for a road test, you will love this car as much as I do !

Meet the main man behind the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3
Fri, 30 Aug 2013We have yet to catch our breath from our first drive of the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3, but if you're still not sold on the fact that this track-ready 911 is only offered with a PDK transmission, then you should take it up with Andreas Preuninger. Preuninger is the guy who led the team responsible for the latest GT3. Porsche has released a video giving a little backstory of what went into the development of the car, which had as its goal the creation of a pure, rewarding 911 driving experience.
The video captures the sights and sounds of the GT3 perfectly. Perhaps the best part is listening to Preuninger describe one of the defining moments that resulted in replacing the GT3's manual gearbox with the PDK. We don't want to ruin the video for you, so scroll down to check it out for yourself.
Are you the next Porsche 911 GT3 RS or GT2?
Thu, 17 Apr 2014Porsche typically keeps to a suitably fast schedule when it comes to rolling out increasingly hard-core performance versions of the 911. After the 997 Carrera debuted in 2004, the GT3 version followed in 2006, and by the end of the 2007, Porsche had rolled out both the GT3 RS and GT2 versions. Then the facelifted 997.5 came out in 2008 and it was back to the start: the GT3 came in 2009, the GT3 RS and GT2 RS in 2010, and the GT3 RS 4.0 in 2011. But things have slowed down some with the latest 991 generation.
The new Carrera came in 2011 and the GT3 followed in 2012. By recent history's example, we should have at least two more hardcore models by now, but we don't. Maybe the engineers in Zuffenhausen have had their hands full fixing the spontaneous-combustion issues with the existing GT3, or maybe their attentions have been focused elsewhere altogether. But if these spy shots are anything to go by, it seems like they're back on the job.
Now we don't know if this prototype foreshadows a new GT3 RS or a GT2, but it sure looks more hard-core than the existing GT3 that many purists have derided as too soft, what with its automatic transmission and four-wheel steering.
A closer look at the 2015 Porsche Macan
Wed, 27 Nov 2013
He assured us that "this is a sports car."
Porsche took the wraps off its all-new 2015 Macan at the LA Auto Show last week, and while it's easy to write it off as just a badge-engineered version of the Audi Q5, you'd be very, very wrong. For starters, 75 percent of the car's platform was re-engineered by the Porsche team, and with a choice of two twin-turbocharged engines, the Macan should absolutely live up to the brand's pedigree.
