Selling my Porsche because I dont use it anymore. I have had this car for 12 years and Im not in a hurry to sell it so I wont take any low offers.

Originally started out as a regular 911 Carrera with approximately 160,000 miles on it then after a ton of work it was turned into what it is now. The whole project was completed in 2002 and consisted of the following work: The engine and transmission were completely rebuilt by MotorMeister, the turbo look body kit(bolt on front fenders, weld on rear quarter panels, GT2 wing, front and rear bumpers)was installed and painted Ferrari red, lots of new parts like shocks, rims, tires, Dansk muffler, new clutch, tinted windows etc... were installed also and I have a bunch of paper work for all of this.
The car is basically like new now and runs excellent. Since the rebuild I have only put 14,947 miles on it. I start it up every month to keep everything lubricated but usually it just sits in the garage. Right now the computer has the PowerChip plugged in but I have the original Porsche chip too. And I have the original odometer that quit counting miles also.
As for the condition of this car I would give it an 8. Its not perfect but it does drive excellent and there is nothing that impairs the driveability. The body is in great shape, there is no rust but there are a couple small chips and scrapes on the front bumper that I have pictures of. And there are a few hard to find drips from the paint shop not being careful. The A/C system has been upgraded extensively and works pretty good for a Porsche but it does need a recharge of refrigerent. There are a few things like fog lights and headlamp washers that were deleted because of the body kit. The passenger side mirror moves up and down but not side to side. There are a couple tears in the headliner. The engine does not leak oil.
I have the factory glove compartment mauals for it and the original Porsche order sheet. Original tool set. Clean title in hand. The registration is all fine it has just been non-oped for a few years now. I have a bunch of pictures if you want me to send  more to your email plus I have a video if you want to see the engine running. I have explained as much as I can think of about this car so if there is something else call or text Kevin with any questions(7608550542).  SOLD AS IS where is. Buyer pays for all shipping.

Are you the next Porsche 911 GT3 RS or GT2?

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

Porsche typically keeps to a suitably fast schedule when it comes to rolling out increasingly hard-core performance versions of the 911. After the 997 Carrera debuted in 2004, the GT3 version followed in 2006, and by the end of the 2007, Porsche had rolled out both the GT3 RS and GT2 versions. Then the facelifted 997.5 came out in 2008 and it was back to the start: the GT3 came in 2009, the GT3 RS and GT2 RS in 2010, and the GT3 RS 4.0 in 2011. But things have slowed down some with the latest 991 generation.
The new Carrera came in 2011 and the GT3 followed in 2012. By recent history's example, we should have at least two more hardcore models by now, but we don't. Maybe the engineers in Zuffenhausen have had their hands full fixing the spontaneous-combustion issues with the existing GT3, or maybe their attentions have been focused elsewhere altogether. But if these spy shots are anything to go by, it seems like they're back on the job.
Now we don't know if this prototype foreshadows a new GT3 RS or a GT2, but it sure looks more hard-core than the existing GT3 that many purists have derided as too soft, what with its automatic transmission and four-wheel steering.

Evo sets up duel of Porsche 911s

Thu, 20 Mar 2014

What's better, rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive? That question has occupied auto enthusiasts for years, and so far, we've not really had a solid answer one way or the other. Evo has opted to take another whack at this tough question by pairing a pair of Porsche 911s against each other for a track battle.
In one corner, we have the two-wheel-drive 911 Carrera S, complete with the lickity-split PDK transmission, a sports suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes. In the other corner, it's the all-wheel-drive 911 Carrera 4S in a much mellower spec, with a seven-speed manual, as well as standard brakes and suspension. While the results seem like they'd be a foregone conclusion, some very British weather is there to act as the great equalizer.
We've got the full video down below. Have a look, and let us know if you agree with Evo's results.

24 Hours of Le Mans an on-and-off love affair

Mon, 24 Jun 2013

There was little usual about this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans - intermittent rain in the weeks before the race meant cars didn't get on track as much as they wanted, and intermittent rain during the race meant cars went off track a lot more than they wanted. The race started with a wet track, and one of the records broken because of the random downpours was the number of times the safety car led the field - 11 times this year - although the record of two hours and 53 minutes of lapping behind the safety car, set in 2011, was not eclipsed.
None of that served to dampen the action. With little more than an hour left in the race there were cars still only a few seconds apart fighting for position, leads still changing because of pit stops and everyone drafting anyone they could.
Things didn't go the usual way up front, either - well, not exactly...
