GORGEOUS 2009 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA COUPE, SPORT CHRONO, 6SPD, JUST SERVICED!!!! For sale is a beautiful black on black 2009 Porsche 911 Carerra with the rarely ordered manual transmission and Sport Chrono, which gives you the SPORT button! :) In addition to this desirable color combination, this car is very well optioned and has been well-cared for. The options list on this car is fantastic and includes (see options sheet in pics): Sport Chrono Plus Package, Heated AND Ventilated Seats, Limited Slip Differential (super rare option that gives extra grip and wheel traction!), Navigation, Bluetooth, Porsche Colored Crests in Wheels and More! The car has had only 1 owner besides me, and I am only selling this beauty because I am rarely driving it, (just on the weekends as you can see from the super low miles added since my purchase last November.) It is always garaged and in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition-- the interior looks great and the black paint shines. There are a couple small scratches, nicks and dings that I tried to picture as best as possible. This Porsche 911 is in excellent shape and just had an oil service less than 500 miles ago

NFL draft recruits to get Porsche 911s for fastest 40 times
Thu, Feb 5 2015It's fair to say the NFL Combine is a big deal for players entering a draft. Their future quite literally comes down to a series of drills. You a defensive tackle? Better rock out on the bench press. Hoping to be the next great wide receiver? Your vertical better be awesome. And what of the running backs? Well, few drills match the importance of the 40-yard dash. That particular drill will have a renewed importance not just for the RBs, but for other skill positions at this year's Combine, as the three fastest times will be gifted a shiny new Porsche 911. Adidas is offering up the three cars, which ESPN reports are valued at about $83,000 a piece. That means these new recruits won't be rolling around in a Turbo or GT3. They will, however, sport a questionable sense of design, as the German shoe company has fitted a cheetah print, which is meant to match one of the company's new trainers. You can check both the car and the shoe out above. NFL fans, meanwhile, should feel free to head into Comments and let us know who you think will take home a new 911. Related Video:
The mid-engine Porsche backstory
Thu, 09 Oct 2014As an automaker's identity evolves over years, its signature becomes defined by any number of factors - heritage (Mercedes-Benz), image (Lamborghini), or market share (Toyota). In the case of Porsche, it was an engineering quirk that forged the German company's most enduring character trait.
Porsche would not have survived - let alone, thrived - in today's saturated landscape had it not been for the 911, and that slope-tailed sports car wouldn't have sprung to life without its predecessor, the 356. While phenomenal success of those rear-engine icons built the company, forays into the mid-engine configuration have played a significant part in establishing the brand's identity.

Jay Leno welcomes finely rebuilt Porsche 356 into his garage
Wed, 15 Jan 2014Not a month after the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer visited Jay Leno's garage, another artfully restored Porsche has rolled in. This time it's a 1957 Porsche 356A Outlaw, the "outlaw" moniker referring to Porsches that have been restored outside the bounds of period-correct orthodoxy.
This 356A was literally done from the ground up by Michigander Chuck Olenyk, the floor of the car having fallen apart so badly that he couldn't remove the roof at first since it was holding the vehicle together. Olenyk said that of the 2000 hours over seven years that he spent restoring the car, 500 were spent just on repairing the rust. That's undoubtedly some of the reason why when he tried to sell the unrestored car as a roller in the nineties for $1,000, no one would take it off his hands.
Olenyk fitted a mildly tuned engine from a Porsche 912, the transmission from a 356B, the brakes from a 356C, Fuchs mags and a modified replicar Speedster roof from Intermecchnica. It lacks nothing even with just 115 horsepower, and it adds to that with charm and aural appeal. You can see and hear the full story in the video below.
