Here you are bidding on a original one owner 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 2. VIN# WP0AB2969MS410906 with 16,528 ORIGIONAL miles. This car has Dark blue exterior tan interior original paint no rust never been crashed never been buffed or color sanded and has NO wax on it at this time. It does have minor scratches around car from sitting and a bird stain just rear of the sunroof. The motor has been carefully removed and disassembled to replace the typical broken head bolt studs and reseal the engine in a manor to keep the car as original as possible. Radio works, The original speakers were removed and sent to orange co speaker for cone restoration. Original gauges were sent to Hollywood speedo in CA for restoration from rust around bezels and fogged lenses. A/C with R-12 and heater are operational. This car spent several years outside under a carport with a cover. Power windows, power mirrors, power door locks and sunroof all work. whale Tail is operational. Original gloves, tool kit and jack are in car....spare tire is missing along with original floor mats and wood panel around pedals. Fuel pump is new (OEM). Faded 3 tail lights were recently replaced with factory OEM lights(retained originals). The chassis front, rear and under hood still retain the original factory paint marking on the hardware from final assembly line torquing ....... I have a copy of the title from the original 1st owner of the car. I have more pictures of the chassis. This car was on display at the Daytona Turkey rod run last week from 11-27-13 to 12-1-13. Watch Evo pick its 2015 Car of the Year in this epic video
Mon, Dec 7 2015With just a few days left in 2015, it's the perfect time to check out Evo's annual Car of the Year test to determine the greatest performance vehicle of the last 12 months. The writers' picks for the 11 finalists spanned a breadth of engaging models and included: Peugeot 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport, Lamborghini Aventador SV, Seat Leon Cupra Sub8, McLaren 675LT, Porsche 991 GT3 RS, Porsche Cayman GT4, Honda Civic Type R, Ferrari 488 GTB, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Lotus Evora 400, and Mercedes-AMG GT S. For the venue to test the mettle of these performance machines, Evo stuck close to home this year and visited the twisting roads at the beautiful north coast of Scotland. Racing brothers Marino and Dario Franchitti also came along for the ride to provide two more voices in the competitive challenge to determine a winner. Evo's video explains why each model deserves to be among such rarified company but doesn't gloss over their faults either. There can be only one winner, though. Porsche 356 Outlaw is the other Continental
Wed, 25 Jun 2014In Porsche parlance, 'outlaw' basically means 'hot rod,' and that definition can vary from person to person. For Jack Griffin and his 1955 Porsche 356 Continental, it means taking a great car to start with and reworking it to become a classic coupe that fits its driver perfectly. The latest video from Petrolicious highlights Griffin's 356 and all of the personalization he has in the beautiful ride.
Griffin acquired this 356 in 1994, but it came in rough shape. That made it the perfect canvas to transform the coupe into the Porsche of his dreams. On the outside, only things like the hood-mounted fuel filler, louvered decklid and Fuchs wheels give it away as something special, but underneath, it is modernized to be a faster, more robust car. Griffin considers it "a piece of art on wheels."
Hearing the Continental name associated with Griffin's Porsche might be throwing you, since it's normally more associated with Lincoln, but Griffin tells the whole story of what makes it so special on his '55 in the video. Modded budget Mazda Miata takes on new Porsche Boxster in more challenges
Tue, 23 Sep 2014Earlier this month, our friends across the pond at Auto Express released the first in a two-video series that would see them try and build up a second-generation Mazda MX-5 Miata that could best a standard Porsche Boxster around the track. While that first video detailed the mods to the MX-5 - a supercharger, some suspension upgrades and a new set of super-sticky rubber being chief among them - and set baseline lap times for the stock car, today, we have the results of the 5,000-pound ($8,200) upgrade job.
Of course, we aren't going to spoil those for you. You'll need to watch the full video, which recaps the upgrades before digging into a comparison of both straight-line-speed differences between the 2.7-liter Porsche Boxster and blown Miata, as well as their behavior and lap times on the track.
