This 1987 911 Carrera Coupe is equipped with a 5 speed G50 transaxle with limited slip differential. This car is a survivor with mostly original paint in incredible condition. Just clay-barred, polished and waxed, this paint job shimmers in the sunlight. The black leather interior is nearly perfect other than a repair to a small puncture on the driver's seat bottom. The engine has no oil leaks. The trans has no oil leaks and shifts better than new with synchros that feel like they were just broken in. The engine pulls strong. Starts and idles perfectly and other than a sagging sound pad, the engine compartment looks excellent. The dashboard and door panels are excellent. The rear seats and carpet is all in great shape and this car is ready for a cross country road trip. The wheels are Fuchs forged magnesium alloys. The tires are Goodyear Aquatreads in almost new condition, but should probably be replaced due to age.
The seller, Perfect Power Inc. (www.perfectpowerinc.com) is a Porsche service and tuning facility specilizing in 911's. Although we rarely sell cars, we made an exception and purchased this one because it was such an exceptional car with only 51,950 original miles. Please feel free to call the shop with any other questions or requests for additional pictures. If you are in the area, you are welcome to come by for a test drive. Good luck bidding on this beautiful low mileage 911.

Watch Finnish hoons drift a Porsche, a motorcycle and a snowmobile on ice
Tue, Feb 10 2015We're figure the guys in Finland's Stunt Freaks Team see this video as three minutes of freewheeling snow drifting with a Triumph Daytona motorcycle on snow tires, a Porsche 911 GT3 rally car and a Polaris RMK snowmobile. We, however, like to think of it as a mini-documentary on the winter habits of bipedal Finnish mammals, who display a curious set of winter habits that fascinate us no matter how many times we see them. Admittedly, if we lived conveniently close to Rovaniemi, set smack-dab on the border of the Arctic Circle in Finland's Lapland, we'd do the same thing. The title says it all, save for there also being a side-by-side that was probably the camera car. It's missing the huge roostertails, but it's got a crash and a wheelie to make up for it. Chris Harris condemns demonization of Porsche Carrera GT in wake of Walker death
Fri, 06 Dec 2013When something bad happens, it's easy to resort to scapegoating. At least for some of us, that seems to be exactly what has happened following the tragic death of actor Paul Walker and racer Roger Rodas, who were killed on November 30 in a Porsche Carrera GT. Even though officials have not yet determined the cause of the crash, that isn't stopping many theories from being put for - theories that include blaming the Porsche supercar. Rather predictably, not only is the CGT's difficult nature getting examined, but indeed, the nature of all high-performance cars is being put under the public's microscope, with some wondering what the need for all the power is.
A Google search of "Porsche Carrera GT" will find no shortage of articles about the razor-sharp handling and outright speed of the CGT. Pistonheads' Chris Harris has a different, insightful take on both the Carrera GT and the nature of all fast cars. He reflects on the matter, ironically, en route to drive the successor to the car that killed Walker and Rodas, the 900-horsepower 918 Spyder hybrid supercar.
We think it's well worth a read, as it makes a number of good points about modern high-performance automobiles and the way they're used. Click over and take a look.
